Work / WANT TO MOVE from Morocco TO POLAND - job as a customer service? [17]

How will you take part in an interview, if you are not in Poland yet? Hiring somebody who isn't in Poland yet may be a problem for the company.

Getting a job without being here can be difficult.
Also, try to enlarge your area of jobs, do not focus only on one profession, I am sure you have a lot of different skills.

I was looking for a job in many professions, fortunately, I found I the one I really wanted, connected with my studies.
Do you have your CV written in Polish and English?
Good luck!

Love / ARE POLISH GIRLS GOLD-DIGGERS? [359]

When you are in marriage you just have to pay half cost of living and half cost of bills.
For some people it's too simple, so they tend to complicate their life.
Sometimes, when one partner earns a lot more he can pay a bigger part of bills and more costs of living.
When people can't agree in this case it just means they should talk more and discuss the issue.

Love / Troubled relationship - is it because I'm Polish or should I blame it on his moustache? [28]

Reading your story I felt A bit like it was mine.
I was in a similar situation. I was with my boyfriend for 7 years and something between us just finished. We decided not to continue our relationship. At the end of our dating I fell in love with an Australian guy.

Now I am a very happy single girl.
And I am Polish.
:)
I don't regret my decision. My ex and I are still friends, the Australian guy is my friend too.
When love goes away almost nothing will save her. This is my opinion.
Whatever you will do, I wish you luck with every decision you will take.

Language / Confused about Polish Nouns [8]

There are groups of nouns in Polish language. They are called "deklinacje". Every group has different endings in "przypadkach gramatycznych". So, how many endings are there in nouns?: hundreds.

for example:
one of "deklinacje"(masc., sing.ex. a word: "kot" ), other "deklinacja":(masculin, singular,, example a word: "mężczyzna"):

M kto? co? kot M. mężczyzna
D kogo? czego? kota D. mężczyzny
C komu? czemu? kotu C.mężczyźnie
B kogo? co?kota B. mężczyznę
N (z) kim? czym? kotem N. (z) mężczyzną
Msc o kim? o czym?kocie Msc. o mężczyźnie
W! o! kocie! W. mężczyzno!
There are plenty "deklinacje". You can look for them in grammar books.
Nominative: you have to learn it. It has usually no endings. It has endings in plural, often "y".
For verbs we have many "koniugacje" (differences in endings)

News / Poland's PiS = suspicion & fear? [70]

Polonius
Gazeta Wyborcza editor Adam Michnik told TVP INFO on Sunday that the abbreviation PiS should stand for 'podejrzliwość i strach' (suspicion and fear), not 'law and justice'

How clever, although he forgot that their real intentions is to know "the truth".
Fear? Before what?
Their statements are so daring that I'd rather not call them with a word connected with "fear".

Po polsku / Jaka szkola jest Collegium Civitas? [5]

pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Collegium_Civitas
I didn't study there but looking at some names (prof. Rotfeld, prof. Lena Kolarska-Babińska, prof Andrzej Paczkowski, prof. Krzysztof Zanussi, red. Grzegorz Miecugow, red. Jacek Żakowski, and many other) of people who teach there, yes.

It also has a very high position in rankings.

Your baby is the most important for you.
Don't get to nervous and angry at your husband, just think about a child you are expected.
It will be your ray of the sun, you should concentrate on him/her and do everything what will be good for him/her.
Aliments is something you have to get from your husband for sure.

Language / Want to learn Polish, already know some. [13]

Goat master
I don't think in your case it will take a long time.Around a few months adding your intensive work on it.
Good resources? Polish TV, newspapers, books, dictionaries, articles form net.
Learning grammar form grammar books is difficult. You just have to listen as much as possible.
I know it can appear boring but I learn a lot English from dictionaries. I just take them and learn words by heart. It helps me to built vocabulary.

Hope these simple advices will help you.
Good luck!

News / UN threatens ''Poland's windows of life" [24]

I hope the windows of life caused that at least few mothers decides not to kill their newborn baby. It saves babies life. I don't understand, a baby has the right to know its mother, fine, but what if the mother doesn't want to know their baby, because, for example she was raped and has no feelings and feels no connection with this child.

It happens.

Love / I fear she will cheat on me! I love Polska and Zubruwka! [6]

Your fears are inside you and they are not supported with any proofs. I heard that in reality happen only 5% of our fears so you have a big chance she doesn't cheat on you.

And, by the way, I love Polska too but I don't like Żubrówka.

I'd add to your cheesecake "serek homogenizowany" with vanilla flavour. It makes the dough moist and delicate.

Love / Aliments and abortion (I was married to a Polish guy) [64]

Oh, I am so sorry. I hope you will have a wonderful little baby who will bring you a lot of happiness. I'd try to give him a chance but after it, if it will not work I would try to forget. Of course, he must help you with the money. I am sure he earns a lot. Oh, yes, he does. If he doesn't want to give you needed money, it's so strange for me. He must support you. You were close to each other, weren't you? Maybe not everything looks so bad.

Take care of yourself and your baby. Everything will be fine, you will see.
Ask also your family for money. Maybe they help you. Maybe look for a job? I don't really know.

Love / "In Poland a lot of women work and their men don't"? [7]

My friend's husband ca't get a job abroad where he lives with his wife and he feels horrible with it. He is feeling so down.

I wish something will change with your husband's attitude toward work. Usually men will do everything to get a good job. On the other hand, I know a couple where she works and earns a lot of money while he sits at home and cares after their three children.

Try just nicely talk to your man. Maybe he will change his mind.

Po polsku / Życie pod wspólnym dachem. Jak to jest? [20]

wredotka.
Dlaczego miałabym skończyć jak stetryczały samotnik?
Jestem otwartą i miłą osóbką z poczuciem humoru ceniącą jednak samotność.

NorthMancPolak - Heyyyyy again!
Scared away, you say, well, maybe.
Well. To tell the truth: three things happened in last week -really. It sounds incredible even for me. Now I have serious reasons for staying in Poland.

Third: my mother is not in the best shape, so I have to so far look after her.
My dream about UK is a good title. Sometimes plans change.
But thank you very much for your information. I hope somebody will find it useful for himself/herself.
If anybody is interested in my writings, I invite on my page. There will be wider explanation soon about my UK/aupair dream.

UK, Ireland / My dream about UK. Please help. [86]

"Damsell in distress." How useful it is for me future Proficiency exam.
However no dictionary says what is damsel. Just silly joke.
Surprise for me. I mentioned I registered on a page for Au-pairs, I got two offers of work today, one of them is from London.

Now I will have to consider if the dream will become a reality.
Wow, the letters look good.
I am pretty shocked.
Am I too sensitive? No, I m not, I had I hard time. Actually I am a very strong person with a tendency to being sensitive when people hurt her.

Woo, I am more than shocked. But I feel happy I started the thread.
