Law / Applying as refugee in Poland - how much pocket money will government give? [11]

If you stay in government provided accommodation with free meals (almost hell) then 70pln per month (lol i am sure you will earn more if you go to somalia or to russian ukrainian border where there is currently war).

If you intend to live on your own and buy your own food then 750pln per month (you won't be able to live with this money for whole month so you must have a side job).

Why don't you apply in countries like Germany, UK or Sweden? where they will provide you 10x this amount with private accommodation and 100s of other benefits? Most of the young Poles are already there with their families :)

REMEMBER: Once you applied for refugee in Poland, You won't be able to apply for it in another EU country for lifetime (search DUBLIN REGULATION).So you are wasted!!!

Law / Termination of permament or contract work contract in Poland [35]

POLAND IS A TRASH WHEN IT COMES TO RIGHTS.
Few months ago my boss kicked me out (permanent contract) wihoutt any reason and refused to give me half of my salary. There was little i could do and that was waste of time.

Poland is a third world country when it comes to rights and benefits.

Life / Could Poland become an immigrant country? [42]

LOL Most of the commentators on this post has no idea how economy works :)
Poland will never become an Immigrant country with current policies and politicians(old minded, communist era politicians).
1. Most of the Poles are leaving this country for better life in other countries (I know 1 polish girl who went to Africa for job).
2. Immigrants are not stupid. They choose a country where their children will have a good life and future. and here there is no future even for polish children.

3. Almost non existent welfare, unemployment benefit, housing, social assistant.
5. LOW WAGES even comparable to some third world countries.

The sad part is that it's not good for Poland. Poland is doing suicide, young people are leaving, women are not bringing new children, population is aging.

Life / Poland no Unemployment benefits after paying taxes for 20 years [41]

His £120,000-a-year salary with an international pharmaceutical company in the capital Warsaw meant he could live very well.
After 20 years of working, paying taxes and National Insurance, he lost his job at the age of 59.
However, when Joe turned up at the employment office to register, he was in for a shock.

Meanwhile Polish moms receiving child benefits from UK in their homes in Poland...read it here

This shows how the Poland's welfare & social benefit system (ZUS) is a failed system and that's why young Poles are leaving this disastrous country and system leaving behind an aging population.

Work / urgent help with umowa - my boss wants to cancel the contract before 1 month notice period expires [7]

Hello folks,

I need urgent help from you guys please...

I have 1 year contract (umowa o prace) with the company i am working and it is mentioned in the contract that we have to inform each other 1 month in advance before leaving the job.

Now the situation is that yesterday i had some argument with my boss and she told me that she wants to cancel the contract and pay me for this month(july) only.

My question is...if she wants to cancel the contract at the end of this month (july), is she obligid to pay for the next month (August) too? because she is canceling the contract without any advance notification?

Thank you very much!

News / Poland's demographic, migration & fertility rate disaster [20]

Here is a an interesting article on the demographics of Poland: sz-n.com/2012/12/polands-demographic-disaster/

Here is some interesting facts about Polish ZUS...

Much of the blame much lie with the inefficient Z.U.S. system of social insurance, which can consume as much as half of people's salaries, yet gives back little in return. There is no system of family allowance in Poland, (in the U.K. over 100 PLN a week for every child), only a tiny, one-off payment. It would seem that Z.U.S. exists primarily to benefit the Z.U.S. bureaucrats, rather than those it is intended to help, those who pay Z.U.S..

The exodus from Poland of many of its youngest and brightest should be a wake-up call for Poland's politicians. So far, since the fall of communism, they've had nearly 25 years to start to get things right. It is up to them to create the kind of country people would like to live in, and not to leave.

And here is why Polish immigrants in the UK are bringing more children then Poles in Poland...The so called Polish baby boom in UK

thenews/1/10/Artykul/161201,Polands-baby-boom-in-UK

And some intersting facts from this article...

Research by Britain's Office for National Statistics has found that the average Polish-born woman in England and Wales has given birth to 2.13 children, while comparative statistics in Poland show the birth-rate at 1.3.
With Poland's politicians trying to think up ways of staving off a demographic crisis - the working-age population (15-64 years old) is predicted to fall by 40 percent within the next 50 years, as the population ages. - experts are urging the country to look again at its policies on child care.

Life / Immigration in Poland and being surrounded by a monoculture? [134]

SINCE I PERSONALLY KNOW SOME IMMIGRANTS HERE, THINK I CAN HELP YOU GUYS ON THIS TOPIC.

For Immigrants Poland is a jail where they stuck so badly that last week one of my fine friend deported himself back to his home country.

Why they are here?

They try to enter the Poland illegally to move to western countries but unfortunately some of them get caught and once their fingerprints are stored into EURODAC then it is game over for them. They have to wait here for Poland to take decisions about them and it could easily take 2-3 years (In other EU countries it takes 6-9 months).

Meanwhile they can't move to other EU countries too because their fingerprints are matched with EURODAC database and they can easily find that Poland was his first country of asylum so Poland is responsible for his application and they are sent back to Poland.

For More Information On Dublin Regulation And EURODAC Click Here:
europa.eu/legislation_summaries/justice_freedom_security/free_movement_of_persons_asylum_immigration/l33153_en.htm

How much financial benefit do they get?

70zl per month.
In neighboring Germany it is 360 euro per month. (This may answer some of your questions why the Poland will even never be close to become an immigrant country).

Where are they from?

90% of the immigrants in Poland are Chechens. other 5% are georgians. and the remainings are students who for some purposes want EU documents.

If you have any question regarding Immigrants feel free to ask me.
