News / Israel furious as Poland signs law to limit property claims [200]

I would pay them what the land was worth the day

And you also have to take into account that most Jewish prewar properties in Poland were bought not by cash but on credit.
The war destroyed the buildings that weren't paid off and didn't, at least in part, belong to the 'owners'.

Po polsku / Polska miedzy Niemcami i Rosja. Zalety i wady. [471]

Zalety i wady. [471]

Wady: prawie wszystko oprocz - tylko w czasie pokoju - dogodnego polozenia handlowego.

Zalety: Polska musi byc albo silna albo nie bedzie jej wcale. By istniec i wrastac musi wybrac sile (ekonomiczna, polityczna, kulturalna i militarna). Polska musi byc wybitna i nie moze byc, jak wiele innych panstw, przecietniakiem by istniec i sie rozwijac. Dla mnie to jest zaleta.

News / Years of Poland in the EU - assessment of pros and cons [1158]

For me, the best interest of Poland is above any personal political sympathies. Political parties are just tools for enforcing it.

And in the best interest of Poland is to not be swallowed by a federalization of the leftist EU.

Poland wont leave the EU on its own

I'm not saying that we should leave straight away. PiS government is doing a good job, even if it's against their will, by eroding the power of Brussel's beaurocracy by refusing to comply with anti-constitutional laws and by refusing to place the EU law above the Polish constitution.

Basically, in our interest is to pick the benefits of the EU ie. open market for goods and services, and to block things that is against our national interest. It will become much easier once Poland becomes a net payer, which is soon. The EU is a toothless dog, there's no reason to be scared when it barks.

Poland is a net receiver of funds, and not a net payer

Not during this round but it will become a net payer by the end of this decade.

News / Years of Poland in the EU - assessment of pros and cons [1158]

Poland never agreed to any of that during accession

The UE beaurocracy operates by the principle of a modernized Marxist rule of "political expediency under current circumstances". Once they reach certain goals they push the boundaries even further unless they face strong opposition. In such cases, they push back slightly or offer a "compromise" solution until the future circumstances allow them to fully exercise their initial goals.

The EU has become a hostile institution that, like all other totalitarian bodies in history, wants to create a "new man". In this case, the desired "new man" is a person without roots: no cultural roots and traditions, no national roots, no religion. A pulp that can be molded into the desired shape.

History / What do Poles owe to Hungarians? [233]

We owe Hungarians for help in the 1920 Polish-Soviet war. The ammunition delivered by them has greatly helped Poles to beat bolsheviks.

News / Israel furious as Poland signs law to limit property claims [200]

I'll have to give it to PiS that they've picked the correct moment to announce it when the eyes of the world are focused on Afghanistan and the retreat of the US army. People are much more concerned about the new wave of 'refugees' invading Europe than the rambling of a Polonophobic Yair Lapid.

All of that doesn't of course change the fact that Jewish/Israeli demands regarding heirless property in Poland are, according to international law, baseless and illegal.

This time they're smarter and took the Huxleyan approach instead of hardcore Orwelianism. The bet here is that it will be too late and things will go too far to go back to normal when people eventually wake up.

The system will eventually show its true ugly face once they run out of our own money to bribe us back with welfare state and redistribution.

News / Years of Poland in the EU - assessment of pros and cons [1158]

It's symptomatic that a discussion about the EU ends up with uncle Adolf.

Centralization, uniformity, bloated beaurocracy, the leading role of the German industrial core, workforce from mitteleuropa.
Politicians and states change but modus operandi remains.

I'm counting on the real diversity in Europe, the Europe of independent nations, that will not allow for the creation of the European federation.

PS: In Polish the word 'Niemcy' (the Germans) literary means: "those, who cannot speak" [cannot communicate]

News / Dodgy PRL-holdover judiciary finally reformed [420]

In free Poland all its rulings will be annuled

You're misinformed, probably by mainstream media "journalists".

The same court ruling was given by a previous Constitutional Tribunal in 2005 [under supervision of Zbigniew Safin, currently a judge in...TSUE]:

"2.1. Art. 8 ust. 1 Konstytucji jednoznacznie gwarantuje postanowieniom
Konstytucji status "najwyższego prawa Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej". "

"Constitution has the status of the supreme law in Poland"

isap.sejm.gov.pl/isap.nsf/download.xsp/WDU20050860744/T/D20050744TK.pdf [Kwestia nadrzędności Konstytucji RP (art. 8 ust. 1) a przekazanie
kompetencji "w niektórych sprawach"]

Furthermore, the Constitutional Tribunal ruling from 2011 [under supervision of Andrzej Rzeplinski] states:

"Trybunał Konstytucyjny podkreślił, że Konstytucja pozostaje - z racji swej szczególnej mocy -
"prawem najwyższym Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej" w stosunku do wszystkich wiążących
Rzeczpospolitą Polską umów międzynarodowych. Dotyczy to także ratyfikowanych umów
międzynarodowych o przekazaniu kompetencji "w niektórych sprawach"

"The Constitution remains the supreme law of the Republic of Poland in relation to all international agreements.

euronews.com/2021/07/13/poland-s-constitutional-court-to-rule-on-whether-eu-law-takes-priority

Simply put, Constitutional Tribunal of Poland has ruled that Polish Constitution stands above EU beaurocracy.
Furthermore, the EU can only use those powers that were directly ceaded to them by Poland and cannot usurp some extra powers.

News / The ruling party in Poland tries to take American owned TV news station off the air [528]

Meh, France and Germany have similar laws when it comes to maximum foreign investments in local media. They would never allow such a situation to happen in their mass media market as we have in Poland right now.

she would be banging on doors

I believe she would. And some locals with an inferiority complex would even appreciate her actions. Fortunately, we got rid of that trollop. Polish matters should be resolved by Poles

News / Poland Sports News [1079]

it originated from European rugby

It originated from Europe like all the other good things in the US. The US was populated by Europeans. That's what made America great in the past.

What I like about that sport is that it allows guys with the bigger frame to team up and compete against each other in a full contact sport. Society needs that in the age of low testosterone soy boys

News / Achievements of the Tusk's Polish government [532]

debt, tributes and rising prices

That's a good summary of the PiS economic policies.

The fun fact is those words fit perfectly to describe 8 years of Tusk's PO government as well.

Those two political parties: PiS and PO only look much different to the hardcore political fanatics and supporters who identify with them. To rational people, they are both scammers.

I pity the fools who got robbed by a Byzantine bureaucracy, work for a lausy 5000 pln a month and still cheer up for one of those two statist parties who **** them in return.

The biggest achievement of the Tusk government was obviously a steady supply of a hot tap water in Poland.

And for that, he deserves to get a monument. When he retires that is. I can't wait for the unveiling.

News / Parliament in Poland clears way for nuclear plant [78]

Nuclear plants are kind of potential nuclear bombs.

Yes, and every man is a potential rapist because we all have cocks.

Nuclear power plants are reliable (stable source of energy), require less maintenance, and produce a very large amount of energy that doesn't depend on weather conditions.

PS: The capacity factor determines the reliability of energy production. It means that you cannot simply replace one 1 GW nuclear plant with one 1 GW solar plant but you need over 3.5 GW of solar power in order to fully replace it.

News / Poles call for EU reforms. [67]

The thing is that the EU in its current form is irreformable.

It is rules by an unelected beaurocrats, spiritual children of the '68 revolution who lead it towards three main goals:

- economic socialism feeding on remains of capitalism (socialism itself doesn't produce any value, it only consumes and distributes wealth)

- cultural Marxism

- creation of EU federation instead of traditional national states

The best 'reform' of the EU is to simply disintegrate it and to build a healthy voluntary economic cooperation on its carcass.

News / What should Poland do with the problem of Belarus? [1800]

That's what he fears....It could very well be the after-Lukashenka Belarus could get an anti-Putin gov.

Or a more pro-Russian government.

Lukashenko, over the years, has balanced between Europe and Russia by taking credits and investments from both sides. He wasn't completely pro-Russian since he wanted more power and more autonomy for himself and siding with just one, and more powerful, ally would rob him of all of that. The current situation left him no choice and pushed him towards Putin's Russia for protection.

UK, Ireland / How has Polish immigration into the UK helped Poland? [48]

The EU does not benefit most Eurpean nations

Economically speaking it benefits Germany mostly. Same as the euro currency that benefits Germany and Netherlands only and hits hard countries like Italy and Spain.

Politically and ideologically speaking, it benefits "progressive" countries since the EU pushes the same neo-Marxists ideology which runs in France, Spain, Belgium, Nordic Countries etc. But only in short term. In a long term, it leads to more economic stagnation, destruction of traditional European civilization and 3rd world population swap.

For Poland, the only major advantage of joining Euro-kolkhoz was an EU single market. Poland made a trade-off: to become an EU member it has fully opened its less developed internal market for competitiona and investments from Western Europe.

It took some time to adjust to reorient and adjust the Polish economy and to take advantage of that new economic situation. That's when some of the countries, like France, started using their position to block the young competition from taking over their markets ie. restrictions on delegated workers presented by France that are again the EU rules. Basically taking away any logical reason for Central Europe to remind in this mummified institution any longer.

I see the EU as an old bitter childless lady living in a large dusty house. She is sick and freckled and developed early signs of dementia but she still has some family jewelry left which she can sell to afford a somewhat comfortable retirement and a peaceful death. That is unless her neighbor Ahmed invade her home, rob her and slice her throat before then...
