News / Repopulating Poland with Ukrainians? [67]

Pawian has already raised this issue some time ago. It's not just a case of decreasing fertility rates but also that Polish couples are migrating and starting families in other countries. I think this is the real problem. I think Poland will have enough immigrants (who will be starting families) over the next 10-20 years to counter this. It really isn't a major issue. Irelands had the same issue for a long time now. They're still here.

UK, Ireland / Fertile Polish Women in the UK [87]

Housing Benefit is for African/Jamaican breeding machines. NOT Polish

So you're a hypocrite as well as a racist?
It has already been mentioned about the age of the Polish migrant workers.
Many of these young couples are either married or get married in the UK and start a family. Something that they are perfectly entitled to do.

If you don't like living in an EU country with all the benefits (no, not welfare) that go with that, feel free to leave.

The UK and Poland are member states of the EU. Fortunately for all of us, most politicians are a lot smarter than you are.

Life / Opinion about Polish lifestyle: do you like? Strengths and weakness [8]

i think their food is too fat and grease

That's rich com ing from an Italian!

Sometimes, it's not easy to relation with people older than 40, they don't speak English and it can be not easy to accomplish your task dealing with them.

What task can't you accomplish? Maybe it's your face or the fact you don't speak Polish:D I accomplished my task tonight:D:D:DD:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I like Poland and think that their lifestyle is not that far from the western standards.

Western standards? What you think Poland is Eastern or in some way inferior to Italy? lol get a life, Poland p1sses on Italy:D

Polish street are dangerous and tight, too.

They are dangerous at night if you are 12 years old. Come on, are you a man or not?!? I've never had a problem here, and I wouldn't be scared if I did, lol:D

So, basically you came to Poland looking for some easy girls, you tried to speak to some babcias and they didn't understand your pidgeon Polish? lol lmfao:D

Better luck next time. I'm gunna eat some fatty pizza and spaghetti, dobranoc:D

Are there many Italians that visit/live in Poland?

No. Most get as far as Slovenia, sleep with a prostitute and go home to the missus...
Yes, you're right though. In Poland noone cares what underpants you are wearing. That kind of shallowness hasn't reached our waters yet:D:D:D

More or less. But I would never ban it as an option.
However, I have to shoot off now. Have something to do. TBC....

You could say that if a man never ends up having sex that he is a potential murderer by that logic, his sperm will die when he dies.

I quite agree with you. Don't forget you're creating sperm daily and that sperm will die. They don't have a long life span.

So yes, where do you draw the line?
For me, maybe somewhere in the first 13weeks... and you?

News / Abortion still under control in Poland [2971]

But it's the same effect just at a later stage down the road. My sperm are alive, but unless they fertilise an egg, they're gunna die.

This is why I say that these decisions should be between the mother and the doctors. We can debate this ad infinitum but it won't change anything.

Rather than make people feel bad for making such a difficult decision, and just condemn the decision, I believe we should try to understand why they have made that decision.

It's certainly not the easy option a lot of people think, and women certainly don't take it lightly.

News / Abortion still under control in Poland [2971]

No, I don't consider masturbation murder. Neither do I consider contraception to be murder. But neither do I consider an abortion to be murder.

It's the same thing just at different stages of fertilisation/pregnancy.
Basically, either way you are preventing life. Everything else is just semantics and nothing to do with morals IMO.
Would you agree?

I've done that. You seem to be asking Foreigner4 to debate this topic with you, which he seems to be avoiding.
As for my request to you, do you agree that the term 'murderer' can apply to either party (it takes two to tango) depending on the stage of contraception/abortion...

When does life begin? I dunno. But, surely anyone using contraception is just as guilty as someone who doesn't and this results in an abortion..?

Your turn... :D

News / €80 billion for Poland new EU budget [166]

European governments saved the greedy & criminal bastards called banks in 2007-2008. That is why we are in a mess.

I'm well aware of the govt's bailing out the banks. I am British after all.
But, the whole world is in debt. We as individuals need to sort our spending and borrow much less. That would have helped the situation. Don't you think?

P3Undone, can I quickly have a brief debate with you on this issue of abortion?
I'm neither pro-life nor pro-choice, although I can see both sides of the arguement.
Women shouldn't use abortion because they can't be bothered with birth control, or their bfs can't be bothered to use condoms. I'll agree with that.

But also, sometimes there are situations when a woman really feels that an abortion is the best solution (I know about fostering & don't want to discuss that option).

But, can I discuss this particular point.
Tonight, I can meet with someone, wear a condom and prevent a potential life. I'm a murderer!
I don't wear a condom and someone gets pregnant. They have an abortion - now they're the murderer!
This is crudely my take on abortion. Any comments?

USA, Canada / Homeless Poles in NYC [25]

In life for various reasons people can find themselves in these situations. I believe that people need a hand-up and not just a hand-out.
Unfortunately, the USA is a country that promises a lot but offers very little. It doesn't matter whether you're Polish, Mexican or 'American' the govt and society will sh*t all over you.

Being homeless in such a country cannot be much fun for anyone, especially in NYC.
Personally, I think it's a shame that people would rather bash these people than be half a human being and empathise a little...

News / €80 billion for Poland new EU budget [166]

Not only Western countries spoonfeeding Poland (and some others but Poland is the no.1 recipient) are having a deep crisis (and their populations are fed up to tighten their belts

You know, if those people in those Western countries tightened their belts, stopped borrowing money they couldn't afford to pay back, and their govts stopped borrowing money they wouldn't be in the mess that they are in now. It's called living within your means, something a lot of people still do not understand:

The "daj mi" needs to stop

It only it had stopped in the 'West'...

I happen to live in Poland and work with Poles and I can assure you that 90% think this way.

You need to mix with a better crowd...

Life / How a Pole can contribute to the homeland? [27]

The difference for instance between France and Poland

Who gives a flying f... about France? Due to their President's dithering it won't be long before they go cap in hand to the IMF begging for a bailout.

The OP was asking for suggestions of how a Pole could contribute to their homeland...

Life / How a Pole can contribute to the homeland? [27]

I quite agree. So many people here are working two jobs or going to university (and still working) you would think that their sleeves cannot be pulled up much more.

Poland does not set the EU's spending budget, they can only apply like anyone else. French farmers have been milking the system for years.

They have at least fought off recession, a feat which most other EU countries (who somehow believe themselves superior) failed to do.

Love / How do I tell her how I feel? Working with a Polish woman. [24]

Well, it must have been God's intervention because today I got to work next to her again

It was God's intervention several months ago, allowing you two the chance to meet! (But you blew it!) Still, I hope it all works out for you:)

If it doesn't, don't worry, you'll meet someone else.
But, seriously. I was like you and didn't even talk to a beautiful Polish girl at work for 2 months because I thought she must have had a Polish bf. But really I was just shy. Anyway, the first works do I was invited to I went. And there she was! I sat awkwardly opposite her for about 2 minutes whilst other guys tried it on with the worst small talk and lines I've ever heard.... lol:D

Fortunately, I switched the conversation to Polish and moved straight in there. Blew the competition straight out. And the rest as they say is history. We had 3 wonderful years together:D

I'm now living in Poland and loving it! Do you think that I would even hesitate for 6 seconds (let alone 6 months) to talk to someone I fancied? Nope. You need some self-confidence, and maybe some game.

Anyways, gimme a PM if you wanna chat.

Life / Why is circumcision not practiced in Poland? [701]

But the thread is about why cicumcision is NOT practised in Poland. We are all well aware that this is very popular in the States though as this article from NBC news suggests:

msnbc.msn.com/id/16776931/ns/health-childrens_health/t/cut-or-not-circumcision-controversy-flares/

The United States leads the way in the number of babies circumcised each year. Estimates vary widely, ranging from 50 percent to more than 90 percent of newborn boys circumcised, depending on the region of the country (federal data from 1999 showed hospital circumcision rates of 81 percent in the Midwest, 66 percent in the Northeast, 64 percent in the South and 37 percent in the West) and religion (the Jewish and Muslim faiths traditionally call for circumcision). In Europe, Asia and Latin America, baby boys are not routinely circumcised, and the circumcision rates here have been dropping steadily over recent years.

In Europe most of us still have our Thorskins! And we're very proud of it:P

UK, Ireland / Domestic arguments caused by differences between Polish and English culture [109]

I don't think that many Poles would put up with the British 'binge drinkers'. It's certainly not an attractrive habit in women or men.

Alcoholism and domestic violence occurs in many countries. Britain is no exception. It's certainly not a cultural difference between our two nations (Poland & the UK).

I'm actually quite suprised how many Poles don't drink...

UK, Ireland / Do Polish Immigrants in Great Britain hate each other? [60]

So basically we're back to 'no'. Polish immigrants do not hate each other.
However, we've proved that there are a few silly xenophobic Brits who obviously do. Those ignorant racists make the rest of us Brits look bad. It's really rather pathetic.

Love / How do I tell her how I feel? Working with a Polish woman. [24]

I mean how do you know if a Polish girl likes you and is it worth telling her how I feel even though she is leaving, and if so how do Polish girls like to be approached?

Polish girls are just like any other girl. Nationality is not important when it comes to dating. However,:

From the first time I saw her, I just thought she was perfect and I couldn't stop staring at her. Eventually she noticed me looking at her and we started having lots of eye contact, sometimes too much. This went on for months

You fancied this girl from the word go. Other than 'stare' at her you never made a move. And this went on for months? Was she single this whole time? Unfortunately, now she is leaving...

Sorry to say it but you left it too late. Next time you see a girl you like (Polish or otherwise) just count to three then make your approach. Never stare though lol:)

Good luck! Hope it works out for you. If not, there's plenty more fish in the sea:D

UK, Ireland / Do the poles like British culture [127]

I strongly believe that anyone who thinks so hard and who spends so much effort on gays is a crypto-gay himself. Are you (Kondzior)?
Even HH admits (in his own words):
I don't mind gay people. My friend is gay..

Kondzior, I'm not pro-gay but I accept that is a choice people make in life.
However, not doing your job and driving a bus (lol), because of an advert is pretty pathetic.
A Christian? Whatever happened to 'love thy neighbour'? Whatever happened to 'turn the other cheek'?
This man isn't a Christian or a patriot - he's homophobic and most probably he's a closet gay. And he'll lose his job because of it. What an idiot!

Life / Why is Prostitution still legal in Poland? [106]

Why is Prostitution still legal in Poland?
Who cares. Legal or not is still going to happen in every country in the world. Get over it!

Some of the more strict Muslim countries have laws against prostitution, so the US 'sounds like a Muslim extremist', although its a fundamental extremist Christian country - which is worse.

True. Why do Americans feel the need to interfere with other countries so much? Surely they need to get their own house in order first.

What's with the 2nd amendment? It's not the 18th century anymore... how many 'Columbine's' occur in Poland? Gun crime is totally out of control and has been for a very long time.

As for the 8th amendment it's a complete joke when you consider the death penalty is used in many states...
The real question should be 'When will America join other civilised countries in the 21st century?'

Stay on topic, please.

UK, Ireland / British + Polish relationship experiences [16]

It's rude to be patronising and assume people can't make their own minds up!

If that were true in your case you wouldn't be asking complete strangers for relationship advice.
First you need to think of your boyfriend as your 'boyfriend' and not as your 'Polish boyfriend'.
If in a few years time you find yourself ready for marriage then you will need to be asking yourself those questions that Richfilth posted.

Personally, I don't see how your relationship and your friend's relationship are linked unless, of course, my initial instinct was right... you and Kelly do 'everything together' right?

My relationship lasted three years, we had many good times together, nationality was never an issue. I hope your relationship (and Kelly's) works out for you:D

UK, Ireland / Are Poles in the UK more prone to Thievery? [37]

I think he's Welsh. He struggles with English. Speaking of which, don't they have similar signs in Wales written in both English and Welsh?

Surely by his own logic that makes Welsh people more prone to thievery... no shock there...

Or just rejected. Probably by more than one girl... maybe something to do with all the Lech he's been drinking:D:D:D
Wisbech is a tiny little town of 20,200 people in Cambridgeshire. If one Pole and one Lithuanian were arrested for shoplifting it would probably made the Wisbech Standard headlines for the next month.

If someone farted in that town it would probably make a headline...
Let's see their crime figures then...

News / Abortion still under control in Poland [2971]

So, first you're saying women shouldn't have abortions. And now you're saying that they shouldn't have sex!
That's a basic human need! I agree with Pavlow on that one!
