Life / Polish "prog" music? I'd be interested to know about bands etc. [30]
interesting. i've seen all these bands (and most of the others in the thread)
what bothers me is that my friends and i never said that we were going to see a progressive rock band. we always went to see a rock band.
prog rock seems to be a label stuck on various weed smoking bands from the 70's
listen to c'mon, bananas or spunk rock by man. but make sure they are the early versions (74ish)
Floyd, ELP, Yes, Genesis were the big guns. The likes of King Crimson, Van der Graaf Generator, Camel
interesting. i've seen all these bands (and most of the others in the thread)

i haven't a clue what prog rock is. unless it's another way of saying 70's style music, which is what you guys seem to be referring to when u mention early pink floyd, fleetwood mac etc.

there is a fashion type here who have black hair. they all wear similar clothes and are recognizable as Polish.
it's because fashion is so limited here that so many people look the same yet can easily be put into groups.
it is hair, footwear, jewelry and even tattoos that differentiate these groups.

that is the case with any genealogy service. in many cases they copy down what they see. the original document may also have the incorrect spelling. on my own birth cert it has a misspelling for my d.o.b and appears to say 30th rather than 13th.
however, it is certainly true that one should double check.

Polish food like any other is a mix of influences. Some dishes are very similar to english/uk dishes, just with a different name or description.
Poles haven't a clue when it comes to fish. if you doubt me... count your local fishmongers.
on the whole i agree with seanus.
