Franek Dolas, a run-away POW, is reaching for his Polish eagle emblem and is going to have his hand painfully pressed onto it by the Gestapo officer How I unleashed the WW2.

Well, another WW2 film:

Franek Dolas,

Yes, I thought it wouldn't take too long for someone to get it. For me, I always remember ' Grzegorz Brzęczyszczykiewicz ' scene :)

How I unleashed the WW2.

Is that the film with "It's 5 o'clock, so time for tea..." :)

Franek Dolas with Hans in the background :D

I have also seen Czarek from 13 posterunek.

And characters from Hydrozagadka and Miasto 44. But I don't know their names so the floor is yours.

How I Unleashed the Second World War is just great :)

Another easy one but one of the most unforgettable characters in Polish films I guess.

Yes, the Brits are drinking tea, he takes a machine gun and shoots a long series over their heads and zero reaction. :))

I have also seen Czarek from 13 posterunek. And characters from Hydrozagadka and Miasto 44.

I don't know the film, but the guy (Daniel Olbrychski) looks like playing Stanisław Wyspiański

Good you reminded us about post 88, almost missed it. She wasn`t a character but presented the initial credits live in a very expressive way.

, but the guy (Daniel Olbrychski) looks like playing Stanisław Wyspiański

So now it is easy to guess the title and his role.

Before trying to guess the title, it is worth pointing out that my clue as to who the actor is and whom he plays was a perfect example of the so-called "culture codes" work. Neither person calling you, Pawian, not being a native Pole (Johnny Reb, Dirk diggler, Joker) would have been able to tell this, whereas a true native Pole like you and I readily identify the ground on which they stand.

The actress here is easy,

plane

but what film and how is it now relevant(ish)?

@pawian
The actress from Hydrozagadka is Iga Cembrzynska but I have no idea what the name of the character is.
The one above is of course Ania Przybylska but I have no idea what film it is as for Polish comedies I prefer the good old ones.

And I'm truly disappointed no one got mine. :P

Iga Cembrzynska but I have no idea what the name of the character is

that's what was tricky... she just.... recited the credits (also a small role in the film but her main contribution was the opening credits)

Ania Przybylska but I have no idea what film it is

think of a recent anniversary....

The one about Kwinto? Chemikiem guessed it.

Well, you were close but still not guessed correctly. So, Olbrychski, Wyspiański, what does it tell you?

you were close but still not guessed correctly.

It is the film "Wesele" directed by Andrzej Wajda where Daniel Olbrychski plays Pan Młody, a character based on the real person Lucjan Rydel.

Stanisław Wyspiański was, of course, the autor of the theatre play "Wesele".

Here is the "real" Stanisław Wyspiański for you (painted by Stanisław Wyspiański himself) :-)

I was impressed by Andrzej Lapicki's performance in "Kanal". Forget his character's name though.

You forgot cause there was none. :)): Łapicki didn`t play in Kanał.

It is the film "Wesele" directed by Andrzej Wajda where Daniel Olbrychski plays Pan Młody,

Yes, a great film based on an outstanding drama, so full of Polish soul in it. :):)

And Polish soul is also in this one:

Remind me then in which film did he play a soldier or something similar.
Could have sworn it was "Kanal"!

Guess I was wrong. He's still a wonderful actor, and that voice:-)

The guy with a shot of vodka is the father from Wesele by Smarzowski.

Crow, there is a Serbian/Yugoslavian motive in Polish war comedy Jak rozpętałem Drugą Wojnę Światową. POW Dolas jumps out of the German train and lands in Yugo territory. Serbs save him from Germans. Later there is a western style fight in a harbour inn. Before it, a pretty female sings a song in Serbian.
