Yes, the funniest thing is he always looked so boyish in his films but played black characters who attack and beat. In Chinatown he even slashes Nicholson`s nose.

I am in the mood, for black and white film:

Instead of names, what is the relation between these two:

Kobiela and Polanski's first wife Barbara Kwiatkowska. The film is Zezowate szczęście but I haven't seen it -he probably has a crush on her.

Yes, excellent.

What nationality is the soldier and what is his connection with the woman?

Giuseppe w Warszawie - another film with Cybulski, not pictured here, though.

He's Italian. She 'finds' him in Warsaw and takes her to her and her brother's flat. If I really well, to avoid suspicion from Germans.

And they fall in love with each other etc etc. It was the first Polish war comedy without blood, executions, martyrology etc. from 1964.

Cybulski? here you are, on the beach

Is this to guess, or were you just replying to kaprys? Is that Ewa Warwas in the picture?

The front actors who are carrying the drunk man are Linda and Kondrat. They are all singing a song. That scene provoked a huge scandal due to its shocking context. The director was accused of unpatriotic attitude etc.

Sorry, I should have asked: what are they all? (Stupid me, always thinking in Polish).

Yes , and they are ex secret police, turned into regular police after the collapse of communism. Immoral bastards they are but the film was very popular and the quotes have become the part of the Polish culture:

Because a bad woman she was. :):)

What is the surname of this guy?

That's porucznik Borewicz from 07 zgłoś się.

How about this one? I don't know if this isn't too diffiicult but let's try.

Just aside. Old policemen never die - Porucznik Borewicz is now to be found as the boss of 'Malinowski i partnerzy (Malinowski and partners) a private detective agency. Well worth watching.

I think it is little Peter from Kogel Mogel. I watched only one scene on youtube.

Terri
Borewicz and the series were very popular in PRL times - the audience loved that relaxed unorthodox investigator. That is why he still gets roles today.

It is Piotruś indeed.
Come on, one of the classics. You need to watch it.
As for 07 zgłoś się, it's my favourite Polish serial kryminalny.

I watched that one scene when they advertised the 3rd part of the series. But after watching it, I decided it is not for me. Sorry, I prefer crazier comedies.

New movie in Poland,

You mistook the threads.

You don't know if it's crazy or not if you haven't seen it. :) I haven't seen the latest part but the first two are great.

Ok, another riddle. What's his most famous line in this old tv series I might have seen an episode or two, really.

You don't know if it's crazy or not if you haven't seen it. :)

But I saw one scene and the acting was stupid and unnatural. Besides, there is a kid. I am biased against Polish films with small kids coz they are lousy actors most of the time. Besides, I hate stories about naughty kids and their patient carers. It reminds me of my job too much.

That is why I will never watch that silly film. :):)

Will I get some dry bread for my horse? hahaha

Reminds me my boy`s years in the communist housing estate. Every Sunday a peasant riding a horse cart yelled at 7 am: Potaaatoooees!!! I fekking hated the guy - if I had been bigger, I would have strangled him alive and fed the lousy carcass to his horse. :):)
