Travel / How can I get a license to be a tour guide in Poland, in a specific language? [6]

The license requirement has been dropped in July 2013 and the tour guide is now on the list of "deregulated" professions; all you need now: 18 years or older, at least high school education and clean police record (niekaralność) -according to Tourism Ministry

PTTK is a reputable, established long time ago, huge NGO running also many inexpensive hostels and organizing lots of tours (mainly for domestic tourists):

Travel / How can I get a license to be a tour guide in Poland, in a specific language? [6]

Some tour guides courses are done and certified by PTTK which has branches in many locations countrywide. You don't need a license to be a tour guide now, that is if you can and want to open your own business and do the tours, no license is required.

I'd suggest you call perhaps some tour guides and get some first hand information.

This is assuming you don't want to take tourists into the mountains or care for school trips...

Travel / Is it possible to buy a KM (Koleje Mazowieckie) ticket on the train in warsaw? [3]

From KM website

On the train

Purchasing a ticket on the train

For the convenience of the Mazowieckie Railways passengers, there exists the possibility of purchasing a ticket directly on the train. Any traveller without a valid ticket for his journey or having a ticket that is not legalised/not activated should enter the train through the first door of the train (at the head of the units), and notify the train manager for the purchase, legalisation or activation of the ticket.

Language / Rozumiesz - I have a question on Polish language. [7]

Don't you understand? - Yes, I understand.
Don't you understand? - No, I don't understand.

And this is my choice.
Nie rozumiesz? - Nie, ja rozumiem. - this is fine. Probably it should be written: Nie. Ja rozumiem.
or Tak, ja rozumiem. It should only go as: Tak.(...) Ja rozumiem.

Nie rozumiesz? - Nie, nie rozumiem. - ok here

Life / Public Masturbation now allowed in Sweden, Would this work in Poland? [43]

Authorities in Krakow are warning tram users
to keep their eyes peeled for a man who
has taken to masturbating whilst traveling.
According to Fakt, the skinny man is aged
around 30-35-years-old and is working the
number 13 tram line.
When approached the offender is said to
have replied "girls like it because they never
complain."
Police are asking for any help which may lead
to his identification.

Real Estate / Looking to buy property in Poland - understanding the different types of ownership! [10]

So both ways of ownership means I have full ownership of the apartment?

It's technical but having full ownership means you would also own the land (part of it) on which your apartment stands. Housing association would itself own the land. When selling you'd be selling your rights to apartment vs apartment itself. Full owner could also change usage o an apartment into commercial usage without asking any association for permit. Full ownership also gets better ranking with banks. As for the fees they are similar if not lower for association housing. I don't think you'd need layer as long as you'd buy from real estate agency not individual - they'd take care of you with legal matters if you take one with experience selling to foreigners.

Life / Advice needed on Dental implant in Poland [119]

my quote in Szczecin, Poland : less then 1000 eur per tooth plus 75 eur for photos or whatever they call it. Price estimate given for 4 implants. Mind it takes time and probably several trips would be necessary - if you consider doing it here.
