Love / What to wear when trying to pick up girls in Poland? [58]

Make a sign saying “looking to pickup girls, or want to pick up girls.” Of course, the sign has to be in Polish.
Go and stand in front of a church on Sunday. The other options are: go to an open
market or city’s center and work around with the sign.
Good luck. May the force be with you.

Travel / Why does everyone seem to hate LOT Polish Airlines? [380]

It is much cheaper to fly from US to Berlin and to take a train from Berlin to Warsaw.
That is what I am doing this year and I am saving about between 600 and 700 dollars.

It is much cheaper to fly airlines other than LOT to Berlin.........

Love / Looking for a Polish love song [78]

I am looking for a polish love song to send to a (polish) girl. Does anybody know a very nice song?

Wfkegel, if you can not impress a Polish woman with your charm and personality try the

Polish National Anthem.
:)

It starts with "Jeszcze Polska nie zginela.......

p.s.

It was in jest.

Life / Do Polish People steal a lot? [330]

An article in the Polish Constitution states that it is OK to steal your co-worker’s lunch. In my place of employment, someone stole my co-worker’s lunch.

I live in US. I am the only Pole in the office where I work. I know that I did not take it.
:)

P.S.

Patrycja, your mom looks cute. :)

Life / Why are Poles always so miserable? Why do they never smile? [512]

Well, I have to go shopping.

Let’s encourage Dumbass to carp, so he can get out of his system.
Afterwards, he will feel better. Reading his posts,
he doesn’t appear to be a bad person. He is just miserable.

AntiMonoPole#1

After sharing your misery with people of this forum, don’t you feel better?
I want you to know that you have friends here. Friends who will listen to you carp.

You complain that Poles are too serious and do not smile. Reverse that.
When walking the street of Warsaw, SMILE at the people you see.
Start a trend, craze, fad. :)

P.S.
I was thinking of sending someone to check on you, to see if you were ok, since we have not heard from you for a while.

P.P.S.
Changing your last name to Dumbass, I still think it is a great idea. :)

Anyway Opts... talking to you has been free. Many thanks

You are welcome to share in this forum anytime.
There is no fee; no need to thank me.
Safe your money for a good bottle of vodka.

i'm not polish but i wish to be from there

bty,

To be Polish, you must learn to drink vodka.
Cheers!
Sorry. In Poland we say "na zdrowie"

P.S.
Are you British?

i'm not polish but i wish to be from there......

On a serious note, you can be from "there". Immigrate to Poland. Learn the language.
Submerge yourself in Polish culture. You will be from there.

It's got so bad that I'm seriously thinking of changing my name to something non-Polish.

Dumbass is a very good last name. No one will know that you are Polish.

You are more miserable than the people you accuse of being miserable.

I wish you well.

Genealogy / Last name Sapeta [44]

I know that in 15th or 16th (I think 16th) century,to escape persecution, many Jews came to Poland from Portugal and Spain . Therefore, it is possible that your ancestors came from Portugal and assimilated into Polish society. I do not what percentage of Polish Catholics have Jews roots, but I do know that some had converted and assimilated.

Love / Spanish guy trying to get a Polish girl - her parents prefer guys form Poland? [19]

Ok WarLord.

This is what you do. Because you are Spanish, and you want your girlfriend’s Polish parents to like you.

1. Buy your girlfriend an engagement ring, spend at least $2000, so her parents will know that you have money, and Poles like round figures.
2. Set a wedding date.
3. Buy your future mother-in-law a bouquet of roses.
4. Buy your future father-in-law nice horse, Polish men like horses.
5. Put on your best 3-piece suit.
6. Arrive at your girlfriend’s parent’s house on the horse, dressed in a nice suit, with the engagement ring and the bouquet of roses, face your girlfriend’s parents and announce your intentions to them.

7. Good luck. : P

May the force be with you.

Life / Poles are not racist [873]

Anyway, in my opinion poles are intolerant

I agree with polaca.
Poles can be intolerant. A possible explanation is their limited exposure to other ethnic groups, their limited personal interactions. Some get their racist views from Western movies and stories they heard from friends. Regarding homosexuals, their prejudice stems from their religious upbringing.

Love / African girl from USA dating a polish guy needs advice [38]

On a flight to Poland, I saw a Polish guy with a black wife. While living in Las Vegas, I met a Polish guy who was married to a black woman.

"most of the africans(blacks) hate whites(polish)” sounds like a racist statement.

African girl go for it. You will encounter resentment. It will come from people who are limited. :)

Polonia / Polonia in Uruguay [30]

Mi corazon,
I want to make that serious life choice with you. :)
After reading your posts, I knew that you are special.
It is Karma.

We have a lot in common. Couple years ago, I visited Peru and Ecuador.
What did you do in Peru?
Did you enjoyed living there?
How long did you lived there?

I heard that Uruguay is inexpensive and safe.
