The final point. I do not despise the people I work with. I've worked with Emiratis, Saudis, and Kuwaitis. They are modern first world people, highly highly educated professionals, and they have a deep respect for other cultures and religions. About 20% (guesstimate) of the officers I've worked with in GCC countries vacation every year in America, Canada, the UK, or France. These are people who I would be delighted to call my neighbors. They are some of the most kind and welcoming people I've had the pleasure of meeting, far more friendly than the Ukrainians actually. If these were the sort of people showing up in Europe, I would not be opposed to their migration. You and I know however, that we are not getting the best and brightest. I really don't like mass sexual assaults, rape gangs, hundreds of people being ran over by trucks, bombs going off at concerts, cartoonists being gunned down in broad daylight. It allows the left to conflate these people's views with right leaning parties like the Republican party. As a registered Republican who identifies as a libertarian, we flatly reject the sort of identity politics he engages in, not dissimilar from the same sort of identity politics that neo-liberals who have hijacked the Democratic party in the U.S. use, they're two sides of the same coin. Let's be clear that I'm in Africa now, and the USG is paying my salary. Regardless, I've never 'trawled the internet' to find this information. I'd say it falls somewhere between common knowledge, and some of the threat analyses that we do. What I fail to hear from you Cms (and I'm a bit disappointed because you're one of the members whose opinion I disagree with but whom I respect) is any refutation of the things I've brought up, you refuse to engage at any level, and I imagine that's because your position is emotion based and you're heavily invested in a world view that can't be defended in the face of facts. If you said that yes, you realize that there will be a rise in rapes, trucks barreling over innocent people, bombs going off at concerts, and an uptick in crime and violence; but that you believe in some greater humanitarian good that justifies these things, that is at a least a defined position and we could have an intelligent discussion about it. But as it stands now, you seem content to just be dismissive and not address any of those points, and I'm left to assume that you're simply uncomfortable with those truths.

I also don't have any desire to go on some Breitbart comment section, I prefer to engage with those who have different opinions to learn more about my own biases and to strengthen my own arguments and my political viewpoints and position. I'm not one for echo chambers.

Ok well, you can use Skype to call land lines. I've had a Skype number for years because I do a lot of international calling all over Europe, the Middle East, and to America, and it's very inexpensive. I've got an international mobile plan now which only costs about $100/month, but the fees are still $0.20/minute if the phone isn't connected to Wifi. That 'Magic Jack' thing is another example. Also, a lot of people in Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus use something called "Davidson Card,' I used this for quite a while when I lived in Ukraine also. You call it using a regular Skype account, then using the dialpad once you're connected, you call the desired number, and it's just like a phone call.

We would expect to see a lack of prepositions where they belong, and prepositions added into places they don't belong. In fact, I'd like to ask Delph what if anything in that guys entire writing makes him think the guy is a native Russian speaker? Point out the transference errors. I see none, he used no typical Russian grammar rules when writing in English.

There are a load of prepositions missing where they should be, or improperly used choices of prepositions and conjunctions, or added in where there should be none. Anyone who has spoken to Russian native speakers for long enough can rattle off a list of errors in everyday speaking, which clearly Delph has never heard because what the OP wrote sounded fine.

Common things you'd hear... "join to us" instead of join us........ Go out from your apartment, instead of "come out"......... "one my friend" instead of "one OF my friends"....

The OP may not be a native English speaker, although I see no reason to believe that, but he wrote nothing that resembles the way a native Russian speaker would write in English.

Do you have any family connections? My fiance's mom went to law school, and she was unable to find a job as the industry is entirely controlled by nepotism and cronyism. I don't think many people are going to be lining up to visit a Turkish lawyer of all people, can't see the incentive, it really sounds like a hair brained idea honestly. My advice would be to go to Germany, where there is a sizable Turkish diaspora and where the social situation is more amenable to someone from your country.

The address is 3173 Richmond St. When my fiance and I were in the states we went there for lunch, and I can assure they speak Polish as she was yapping away to them in Polish. There are about 6 or 7 different Polish stores, delis, etc, if you go to Richmond and E Allegheny Ave.

Yea, the unfortunate truth is that Phillipinos are pretty racist, and there is a hierarchy based on who has the most anglo features and who is whiter. In Thailand where my boss worked previously, girls wore hoodies in the daytime so that they wouldn't get tan. On "TFC" the phillipino channel, they only put forward the PH people who are mixed or have the whitest features, we get that channel on armed forces network so I watch it occasionally.
