Feedback / Is the Administrator of the P.F. a Native Pole ? [80]

I offered you to talk to me in Polish; let other native Poles decide if my Polish is native or not ;)

So you know Polish, so do a lot of people that are not Polish, not saying you are not, saying your point is pointless again.

So, anyone who knows the Polish alphabet would have known.

I can't pound on my chest that I do.

It may be in your clique or culture to use euphemism, but I'm not used to it and I'm not easily befriended, sorry

Meaning: I can't pound on my chest (brag, be a big shot) because I don't know the Polish alphabet.
Chill out as I won't be intimidated. You ought to know that by now and I am not befriending you, I just want to show you

politely where you are wrong.

The WHOIS info has never been anonymized

Only if you pay the extra to have it made anonymous Tom, go read it for yourself.

The WHOIS info has never been anonymized; it hasn't been changed for several years.

Then how could I have contacted Pam with such information ?????
And now when you go to WHOIS the Polishform info. has been privatized where it wasn't the previous time Ilooked. Hmmm

Besides, even if it was changed (but it hasn't) - what would it mean?

That would mean whoever is paying the bill for the Polishforum domain has requested (for an extra charge) to have that information made private, which it now is, as everyone can see, so YES IT HAS.

It would prove your imaginary and false point?

No, it proves that my point is not false and that you are in denial for some strange reason.
Bottom line is, WHO really gives a flying fukc besides someone that wants to argue to intimidate and that sure the hell isn't me if you read the thread.

I just didn't care to have been called a liar which I am not. Got it !

quote by PamI didn't do that either.
You make things up as you go along.

Really ! Read your own words Pam and let your readers decide WHO is making things up.

quote by the RebSeveral months ago I contacted Pam and ask her why a Polish Forum was being run out of Chicago Illinois just north of O'Hara International.

quote by PamYou then went on to say that you went looking for the source of the PF and you had pinpointed it to a few miles north of Chicago O' Hare airport.
To which I replied," You know more than I do then ".

So YES MAdear, You did in fact say that.......there it is, written in stone not to be denied.
Now since you are not the dog in this fight I suggest you go to porch before you embarrass yourself anymore.

Feedback / Is the Administrator of the P.F. a Native Pole ? [80]

Ok, just to make it clear, your two main points have been completely invalid:
1. The administrator is 100% Polish.
2. The address has never been removed / reappeared.

Not clear at all as I disagree and I will tell you why.

Do you know any native British person born to British parents who would give him Tomasz or Bartłomiej name?

Nope, and I don't know any that gave their kid the name jon357 either.

I personally don't (and your point was that I was British).

So who besides you says you're not ?
I mean hell Tom, internet is reality right ? I could say my real name is Alfred E. Newman. (google that one kids)
Do you know any native Polish person that would give their kid that name ?
Your point is pointless.

So, anyone who knows the Polish alphabet would have known.

Sorry Tommy, I can't pound my chest for knowing that one either.

nothing has been changed there in the last several years

You are wrong Tom and I will tell you why.
Several months ago I contacted Pam and ask her why a Polish Forum was being run out of Chicago Illinois just north of O'Hara International.

Part of that information came from

some outdated or buggy WHOIS tools

that showed the address.
She told you and you posted that information in a thread in the next day or two.
When I went back there to that old outdated buggy that information had gone private as I have shown here.
Got it !
No apology necessary Tom.

#1 Thank you as who would have known.
#2 We are talking two different places. The one I am talking about wasremoved and still is.
The other place (on your web page) always was there so it didn't reappear.
Prior your renewal of the domain for Polishforums.com/USA all the information was public
When you renewed it last November 15th 2014 you paid extra to have it made private, currently as seen below.

polishforums.com/usa
Domain names in the .com and .net domains can now be registered
with many different competing registrars.

I didn't even relate to this 'question' because it was a flat-out lie

I hope that clears up the flat-out lie.

Thank you Roger, you just proved my point about the British members.
Your useless post is totally off topic yet it doesn't get moved to the bin or do you get a warning for posting off topic....AGAIN !

I rest my case.

Feedback / Is the Administrator of the P.F. a Native Pole ? [80]

I wanted to send a letter asking this question to the administrator but seems he has deleted his mailing address that once was posted here. The one in Chicago.

Also all of a sudden the domain address has gone private since it was mentioned that jon357 was the administrator.
The reason to ask this question is that seems everyone here that gets preference treatment, allowed to post derogrorory remarks towards others without getting a warning, talk down the Polish, promote sin in a Catholic country are all Brit's !

Could that be because the administrator is a Brit. ? (jon357 ?)
My vote would be to turn this forum over to a native Pole, say like a Paulina, who no doubt is an authority on Poland.

No doubt she could educate people on Poland.
To come to a Polish group and have it turned into a Brit. and Muslim counseling session says nothing about Poland.
Reading back I see that this has been brought up several times yet the sinful brainwashing that is allowed in a Catholic country by foreigners sure says nothing for a Polish country of Catholicism.

This is why I doubt very much that the administrator is Polish.
Maybe if the address to the domain owner of this forum in Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A. was re posted I could have sent a letter to the him instead of posting it.

How about it "A", any problem reposting it ?

News / Polish final report on Smoleńsk aircrash [853]

Sometimes it takes awhile to convict the guilty.
I read this from the Krakow newspaper with my coffee this morning.

In a statement on March 27, Col Szelag said the Polish investigation had concluded that the Russian air traffic controllers put the flight at risk when they allowed the crew to attempt a landing in fog, and with imprecise instructions. The Polish officials, said Col Szelag, are accused of appointing crew members who did not have the experience or qualifications to fly such a high profile mission in bad weather.

Colonel Szelag said the Russians faced up to eight years in jail if they were tried in Poland and found guilty of 'unintentionally causing the crash'. He did not reveal the full details of the prosecution's case.

Study / Would attending a Cosmetology school in Poland also allow me to work in the US? [9]

California is not "the USA". It's a whole different world.

Well said as California has more debt then any other State in the Union, has run out of fresh water in the southern half
of the State, is over run with illegal's stressing the welfare system's, hospital's, schools, have low information voters that have elected liberals that have handi capped them, it's on a time table for a major earthquake for half the State to fall into the ocean, you will have to learn to speak Spanish....................

I agree with D, would be my last choice for a place to live or try to get an education.
Best bet is to come to Texas where independence has not become criminalized.

Study / Would attending a Cosmetology school in Poland also allow me to work in the US? [9]

Because it is much more "economical" to go to medical school in Poland.
In my opinion Poland has a much better education system then the U.S. in the medical field.
It amazed me when a friend move here from Poland and registered her son in high school here.
He was three grades ahead of the students here in his math classes.
He was in 10th grade of high school and already doing U.S. junior college math.
That is why I tend to believe that Poland offers a much more aggressive educational system then the U.S. does.
All the Dr.'s trained here are into western medicine which is, "here, take these pills and if they don't work come back

in two weeks and we will try something else." (Cha Ching, cha ching $$$$$ next !)
That's all they know and that is why people with money in the U.S. are going to foreign countries to get their surgeries done.

Better foreign trained Doctors. (Look at Cuba, top healthcare in the world.)

Do none of the students go work in the USA afterward?

Yes as they can make a higher wage in the U.S.A. and also chase the quality materialism of the U.S.
That is why I suggested a cruise ship.
You meet wealthy people from many countries that can be a potential hook up to better the career you are seeking.

Study / Would attending a Cosmetology school in Poland also allow me to work in the US? [9]

I disagree with you on this one D.
Being young there is a whole world out there to explore.

does anyone know if attending a cosmetology school here in Poland would allow me to work in the USA?

No, you have to pass the State Boards test first (which differ State to State) before you are allowed to practice in that State.
You have to be licensed by the State in which you work by taking their test and fulfilling their requirements.
Also may I suggest while you are doing your research on this to check on the requirements to work on a cruise ship.
I have a friend that makes very good money (tips) pampering old people with more money then they know what to do with.
He gets to see the world and meets some very interesting (wealthy) people that have connections for opportunity.
Being bilingual on a cruise ship should be a major plus for you if you speak Polish.
In fact both jobs you are seeking are available on those ships.
Just my thoughts on it.

Love / Polish from UK want to get married in Poland. Can the paperwork be arranged from here? marriage preparation? [24]

I wouldn't think the Catholic marriage classes required would be different from country to country so you could take them in the yUK.

The Uk priest could then write a statement confirmimg that he has given the instruction

Thank you for confirming that for us Roger as I thought Catholicism standards are practiced identically world around.

As for the civil side,

I would try contacting the local diocese to get answer for that one.

Can you go into details

Go badger someone else for an arguement.

Love / Polish from UK want to get married in Poland. Can the paperwork be arranged from here? marriage preparation? [24]

You may as well contact a British catholic priest in the UK he will be able to guide you much better on this issue than those people on the PF who are the priests of nihilism in this hotbed of atheism.

Catholic priests are most helpful when you are in a bind and no doubt MUCH more educated on the matter then the
Nihilism Priests here on this forum.
As you have noticed they offer nothing constructive to help you out with your dilemma, only insults.
I know many people from the U.S.A. that got married in Jamaica and all the paperwork was taken care of in Jamaica.
The United States government had nothing to say or do about it.
I wouldn't think the Catholic marriage classes required would be different from country to country so you could take them in the yUK.
Another place you might want to check is a travel agent that plans marriages and honeymoons in foreign countries.
They might be able to help you as they deal in such plannings and may have dealt with such an issue before.
Good luck and hopefully the posts in this thread that are totally off topic will be deleted and a warning issued to the
rude people that posted them.

Any advise /suggestions would be great! Thank you

Thank you for your constructive advise/suggestion Ziemowit as it may be possible that a priest from in the yUK may
possibly know since one of his jobs is to marry people.
It is also possible that he was in the seminary with a fellow Polish priest that he could ask.
I think it would be a good choice for a starting point as I haven't read anything better besides insults.

You do say the oddest things!

He ain't the only one. lol

Law / Will traffic fines law like in Finland make Polish roads safer? [21]

In America usually when you go to court one can negotiate/plea bargain with the prosecutor to pay more fine for a non moving violation

I thought we were talking about MOVING violations (speeding) here to keep the roads safer in Poland.
And that is not true where I live, very very seldom is there room for negotiations on traffic fines.
If Finland sets fines according to income, does everyone still get the same amount of points ?
Like Roger stated, the fine was secondary, it's the points that get expensive.
Your insurance increases every time you get points for the following three years for everyone.
When you get enough points your drivers license gets terminated.
It's called forcing people to become RESPONSIBLE & ACCOUNTABLE no matter what your income is.
A person with a big income is just as likely to kill someone by breaking the law as a poor person.
Points is what levels that out to get ALL bad drivers off the road.

Law / Will traffic fines law like in Finland make Polish roads safer? [21]

The points were more of a worry than the cash

I agree with that Roger.
Does it work in Poland like it does in America where every time you get a traffic fine
your car insurance (which is mandatory) increases also.
After so many points on your drivers license you can't get regular insurance so you
are forced to join an insurance pool for bad drivers, if your license doesn't get revoked all together.
The cost there can be as high as $2500 a year for just the basic !

Travel / Most beautiful small towns / villages of Poland [49]

Most educational thread here yet.
Keep the posts coming on this thread as they are most helpful in planning visitors vacations in Poland.
The little details that you are including really help in deciding a route to take.
These small towns are the ones visitors find the kind of Polish culture that they are looking for.
They have not yet been 'commercialized' and have loads of unsung history.
Knowing of these off the beaten path towns by tourists will help pump some cha ching into their local economy as well.
Thanks to everyone's input here as it is a tremendous help for my planning.

Law / USD shooting up so high for PLN [76]

Yeah it is $3.91 today.
This morning the Euro was at $1.05. Hasn't been there in probably 14 years. I remember when it was about $1.40.
The European stock markets are all doing well, but there are underlying problems.
Their central banks are all hot on stimulus like we were with QE 1, 2, 3, etc. That is pushing their interest rates down and the currency rates follow interest rates down. Thus the strength of the dollar.

That's the best way I can describe it.
My gold stocks are down more than 50% because of it.
Just sitting back waiting for war to break out, unfortunately, and then people will start hedging in those gold stocks and I will
be able to retire large in Poland drinking top shelf vodka with Harry.

i would personally change your money today at 3.48, don't think its likely to go much higher and i would be surprised if it stays at this rate for very long.

On 8th March it was up to 3.81 zł = USD $1!

SURPRISE !
My guess is that it will stay this way for the most of 2015 with all the plus variables right now.

Love / Polish girls hard in relationships [156]

My girlfriend is very demanding. And i like that. Even because it helps me to improve myself everyday.

My Father told me those famous words when I started dating girls, "A woman can make you or break you."

Men must know to say NO. That`s it.

Right Crow and no doubt when bedtime comes you will hear your echo.
Women always remind a man when he demands that HE wear the pants in the family that she wears the panties.
Next see how her Father treats her, if he gives her everything she wants then she is going to expect her man to also.
If her Father expects her to work, have manners and show respect then she will be all broken in for you.

especially when she's nothing special to look at, I just think WHY?!

Maybe she is filthy rich or has an open minded knock out little sister.
The perfect woman would be, young and still trainable, be a polite hostess at the door, a good cook in the kitchen and a hot wh*re in the bedroom. :-)

Law / USD shooting up so high for PLN [76]

Anyone know why?

It is driven by anticipation of quantitative easing by the European Central Bank.
Stimulus from the ECB has put downward pressure on the euro, the yen, and other currencies, while boosting the dollar.
Looks like it will stay that way the rest of this year hurting my gold stocks bad. :-(

Life / Do you think that Polish people are rude? [951]

I came here for the same reason and found the same as you described.
After being here awhile you will find out that the rude and foul remarks are not coming from the Polish people that post here.
Those remarks are coming mostly from the British Bullies that post on here.
The Polish people here are most helpful with manners.
Don't let a few foreigners discourage you from learning about a country our grandparents came from.
It is a very beautiful country.
