History / Time for Slavic Commonwealth around Poland as center [160]

I think Orban's recent course of action will sabotage your dreams Crow.
Can you believe he fired tear gas into Serbian territory, and injured people standing on Serbian land?

Law / Is it illegal in Poland / Schengen zone to transport refugees inside? [22]

I asked a lawyer friend for you because this is a significant question.

Their advice is: It is a legally tricky subject, so don't do it. If you insist on doing it then for sure don't go across borders.

If you want to help, better donate to NGO's or go and volunteer at a reception center or even volunteer to transport staff and donations to/from the reception centers if you are particularly keen to help in terms of logistics.

News / Have PO (Platforma) operatives in Poland fallen into a panic? [332]

Logical-shmogical, but could it work. As the superior economist you should know whether such pie-in-the-sky is feasible.

Neither her pledge nor that of her competitor are feasible unfortunately. Money cannot be created from nothing as they would have the voting masses believe.

Get rid of ZUS/NFZ?

Believe it or not, most of what we taxpayers put into ZUS (and thereafter NFZ) goes towards staffing and maintaining this horribly archaic, corrupt and inefficient entity. Less than half the cost is delivered back to taxpayers in benefits (whether it is social security or health care).

Getting rid of ZUS (which is not as easy as politicians make it sound) is no easy feat. Very seriously change management will be needed, and workable alternatives have to be developed first.

counterbalance equally to the western European and Russian power in the region

It wouldn't be strong enough to counterbalance either of these two. If anything, it might just dilute the position of EU against Russia.

Begins Forming Intermarium

I doubt they will all overcome their difference. Although I am in favor of all unions that make Poland stronger, anything involving Russia is simply recreating the system where Moscow decides everything. Sounds familiar?

Life / Where to buy a clothes dryer in Poland? [16]

For 2 people the combination washer/dryer should work fine, but be prepared for high electricity bills.

I found some machines on Allegro and on Ceneo as well.

I used to have a combination LG machine - worked fine for 6 years then stopped all together without warning. Before that I had a Norge, and that one lasted 7 years.

help the police

Well in terms of every drunk, degenerate, ultranationalist, neonazi, homophobe, xenophobe and loser hitting the rainbow before they commit more serious crimes, then sure, they will be attracted to the rainbow like moths to the flame. The police should just wait for them around the corner and sort them out.

The project is 100% financed by a private Swedish entity. Maintenance will be conducted by volunteers (including me) and energy (for lighting and pumps) will come entirely from renewable resources. Meaning ZERO cost to taxpayer on both short and long term.

In terms of protection, I mentioned earlier a system that sprays vandals with fluorescent colorful paint, and I wasn't kidding. It will also alert the police upon unauthorized access. There is also an automatic sprinkler system for fire suppression.

You have to understand the size of this thing to appreciate how grand it will be. It will be as tall as 20-floor building!

The new rainbow will have an automatic fire suppression system. Due to its size, it is technically classified as a "building" and therefore must meet certain criteria, including safety regulations.

I mentioned earlier it will span 65 meters from end to it, and it will be large enough inside for a person to climb into it and walk across to the other side. The base dimensions are more than 2m x 2m but I don't have the exact number.

The sponsor will issue new 3D renderings soon hopefully.

They also plan to install colored LED lights (solar powered) so it remains illuminated day and night.

billboard to hide it from view

That would need 2 billboards each 65m x 65m = 4225 square meters. Impossible to build from an engineering standpoint at the site.

bins

I think the only one who needs a bin is you sir :) There are neat portable ones, fondly called nocnik in Poland. Grab one and carry it along since so many things seem to make you puke these days.

Russia has the capability of causing a lot of trouble without getting into aerial wars

That is correct. But still not a match for NATO or even the US alone for that matter. Remember, the US indirectly defeated the Soviet army (which was numerically stronger than current Russian army) in Afghanistan by providing light and medium weapons to ground based insurgents (and these insurgents eventually ended up attacking the US). In simplest of terms, the US has a lot more money to spend on proxies vs. Russia.

such a huge gap?

In terms of ultimate mechanical and aerodynamic performance not so much, but F22 was designed from concept to completion with stealth capabilities while the SU27-30-33-35 family was not, and the F22 has significantly better electronic warfare capabilities, and this is why (in my opinion) it would win in real world battles. It essentially thinks faster, therefore allowing the pilot to take action MUCH faster, often before its opponents have even achieved situational awareness.

4 x F22 practically means the Russians could lose entire small sorties of their most capable fighters with zero or near-zero loss to NATO.
If the Russians throw in 50 x MiG29 then they CAN create a lot of aerial trouble, but they are likely to lose planes at a ratio of 10:1 against NATO specifically because of the electronic warfare superiority mentioned earlier.

The new rainbow at pl. Wilsona will built within the roundabout and span 65 meters from North East to the South West, and reach a height of 65 meters at its peak (meaning perfect half circle). They already surveyed the location, and the foundations (which will be concrete, meaning permanent) are under design.

With a peak height of 65 meters, the new rainbow will be easily visible from ground level as far as pl. Inwalidów, ks. Popiełuszki, Metro Marymont and Centrum Olimpijskie, and it will be visible from rooftops as far as 2-3 kilometers away. Hurray Warsaw!!!
