News / The quality of Polish media coverage [50]

We all here in the U.S.A. understand that the news is controled by the Democrats party, and only tell us what they want, and most of the time not the truth.

Life / Why Do You Love Poland? [907]

I love Poland so much, that after I sell my home, here in the U.S.A. I will movet to Poland to retire. The place of all my grandparents, and a place where people still care for one another, and try and help when they can. And, also, the women, are outstanding.

Work / Average earnings and cost of living in Warsaw? [42]

I do have family, and friends in Poland, and have spent over two months there, and fell in love with Poland, the land of my grandparents, and all her great people. Also, I hope to be able to work there, later.

Things here in the U.S.A. are now a great mess, and if this president get re-elected, will get much worst.

The exchange rate is now around 3.3 and do not look for it to change below 3.0 for some time.

The people of Poland, are like the people of the U.S.A. were here fifty or more years ago.

Does anyone know what paper work I will need do to live there? Also, what paperwork will I need to work there?

Thank you all for your input.

Work / Average earnings and cost of living in Warsaw? [42]

What does the average person, living in Warsaw, Poland earn in a month?
What does it cost the person to live in Warsaw, Poland for a month?
Could I live in Warsaw, Poland for less than here in the U.S.A.?
Could I work in Poland, and what would I have to do to work there?

Thank you all for your help, since I know I will only get facts.

Why are owners of furninshed apartments, still asking such a high price, when the Euro is now going on?
I would be there in the fall, when most apartments prices go down.

What other way, could I use, to find this apartment that I am looking for?

Life / My experience in Poland 15 years ago as an American trying to live and work there. [167]

Merged: A Polish-American of Polish-born grandparents, born in the US, moving to Poland. Questions

If a Polish-American, who was born in the U.S.A., of Polish born grandparents, who has been to Poland, a few times, and loves it, and is unhappy with the way things are going here in the U.S.A. and thinks they may want to move to Poland to live out their life, and is retired and on Social Security, and a small pension, how would this be done?

How would this person go on receiving their S.S. and pension payments made to Poland?
If they wanted to work in Poland, what would they need do?
Would this be a good move?
What are the laws regarding this move?
This person does not speak Polish, but when in Poland, did not find they needed to, would this be a problem?
Please only people who know the true answers, and now in Poland.
This person wants to live in or near Warsaw, since they have some family and friends there now.
How much of a income, would this person need, for only one person? A nice place to live, and other cost, food, and whatever.

Thank you for the help, I know all of you will be.

Travel / Your best memory after visiting Poland [41]

Several things make Poland a great place to visit, I find in my visits.

1. The great people, who all are there to help, whenever you need, even if they don't know you.
2. The care these great people take in a try to make you happy.
3. The great food, found all over Poland.
4. The great places to visit.
5. The great looking women, all over.
6. The exchange rate, from our U.S. money, and what you can buy, at a low price.
7. The safe feeling you have, even walking the streets.
8. You don't need to be able to speak Polish, to get around.

I would, if I did not have family here, in the U.S. move there now, for good.
I look forward to my next visit, to Poland.

Language / Is the term 'Polak' derogatory?? [254]

Yes, Polak, is very derogatory, to the great Polish people, worldwide. I hate when someone calls me a Polak, and I correct them, by saying, I am Polish, not a Polak.

News / US to deploy Patriot missiles to Poland [405]

Don't count on this, with this president, he only does what will get him votes, or what is good for himself. He does not care for any others. He will say one thing and do another, as he has done in the past.

Food / What do non-Poles think about eating the following Polish foods? [1400]

Polish wild dried mushrooms are the best in the world, and I have tried many. But here in the USA these cost a very high price, and are hard to find. I must drive over 60 miles, and pay the high price, but still love them.

I have tried to buy direct from Poland, but am still unable to.
Can you help me with a source?
I have many friends who want me to buy in bulk, and resell them to them, but can't make this contact yet.

Life / Why Do You Love Poland? [907]

The reasons I love Poland,

1. The people of Poland are the best in the world.

2. The people of Poland care, and will be there to help, even before you ask for it.

3. The women of Poland, are by far, the best looking worldwide.

4. The men of Poland are hard working, and do a great job.

5. The women of Poland are HOT, and know how to treat a man.

These are just a few reasons, why I love Poland, and her great people. Each time I visit Poland, I take a apartment, and stay a long time. and get out and meet with the great people of Poland, even without speaking Polish. If I could, I would move to Poland now, but are not able to yet. I am Polish-Amerincan who's grandparents came from Poland.

Merged: I am looking for any and all Dabrowski-Dombrowski's

My last name is Dabrowski, and my grandparents came from Poland just after 1900, from near Warsaw. When they got to the U.S.A. some of the family changed the spelling of the name to Dombrowski, but not my father.

I have been searching for any and all Dabrowski-Dombrowski's all over, in hopes to find some family.
Are you a Dabrowski-Dombrowski who could have had family come from the area near Warsaw?
Please get back to me, and let's check if we can be family.

Mike
