Real Estate / The cost of a furnished apartment near Warsaw downtown are high? Why? [42]

I need one bedroom, kitchen, living room, and with everything I need to make my own meals at home, and for one person, long stay, in or near downtown Warsaw, Poland, since I won't have a car, needs to be walking distance to downtown. My last visit, with this type place, I payed less than $ 800.00 American money, but I know cost have gone up, but not that much. Last stay, this apartment I took, had phone, internet, cable, and gas, power, and all included.

Please see what you can find.

Real Estate / The cost of a furnished apartment near Warsaw downtown are high? Why? [42]

Does anyone have a idea, to help me, in English?

Will be moving some time in May, and may have to stay in a hotel and go out with agents myself, but was wishing to have this all done, before I get there, as last visit.

Please, if you can, help me, I am 71 years young, and not good on the computer.

News / The quality of Polish media coverage [48]

We all here in the U.S.A. understand that the news is controled by the Democrats party, and only tell us what they want, and most of the time not the truth.

Life / Why Do You Love Poland? [907]

I love Poland so much, that after I sell my home, here in the U.S.A. I will movet to Poland to retire. The place of all my grandparents, and a place where people still care for one another, and try and help when they can. And, also, the women, are outstanding.

Is there a section of Warsaw, Poland called Wona? If yes, where is it? Is it a safe, good area? Are the cost of apartments high there? Where can I find more information on this area?

USA, Canada / My story. Born In the USA - do I have a chance in Poland, my Mother Country? [69]

I am older, than many in this group, 71, and I after I sell my home, here in the U.S.A. am moving to Warsaw, Poland. This is a place I spent some time in my past visits to Poland, and love the place, and the people. I want to retire there, since the cost of living is between 40 to 60 percent less than here. My Socail Security check and a small pension will go much farther there than here. I have some family, and many friends living there now. I just want to sell my home, and have had to lower the price two times, because things here are bad, and many can't get a loan for a home. I have lived in many parts of the U.S.A. and visited many other place around the world, and find, Poland is the place for me. We here have a jerk as president, and if he gets in office again, things will get worst yet, and when he does not, and I hope he does not, it will take many years to undo the many bad things he did.

USA, Canada / Living in Poland - prospects for Alabama guy ... need some advice! [146]

I also, after a few visits, am planning to move to Warsaw, Poland, just as soon as I sell my home, here in the U.S.A. This is the land of my grandparents, and a great place to retire to. The people of Poland are the greatest. Cost of living is far less than here. And the people of Poland still care for one onther.

Life / How much does it cost to live in Poland? [42]

Than I can live on $ 1,200 American, in Warsaw?

Am still looking for the best deal on a flat.

I won't need a car to start with, and I can cook.

Any ideas, since, after I sell my home, I am moving to Warsaw, Poland, the land of my grandparents, and a place I grew to love, since my long visits.
