My Polish wife is 35, I'm 53. We've been together 10 years. She wanted a serious relationship with someone who is not a heavy drinking immature fool. I have a very youthful spirit and I've taken care of myself so I'm in good shape. Heck, I can even outrun her. She is tall, thin and beautiful. She is also well educated with a double Masters. We have a great relationship as we enjoy the same things. We see eye-to-eye politically. She makes me keep my wallet in my pocket as she is more frugal than I. I was raised in a rural area and my family was always struggling. I know what it's like to struggle. Her family struggled as wells so we have a common upbringing. Today I'm a successfull business owner and my wife is a social worker who works with autistic children (very noble and admirable). When she's not doing that she volunteers at a local school to tutor hispanic children in English. We go out dancing, play golf, cook together and have a large circle of Polish & American friends where our relationship is never looked upon as strange due to the age difference. I probably should mention that I'm blessed with good genes and look a lot younger than I am. I still have 103 year old Grandmother. Everyone in my family loves my wife and she absolutely adores my Mother & Father. I've been to Poland 8 times and her family treats me like a king. They are wonderful people and have never questioned her about my age.

So, I guess my point is, take love wherever you find it. Age gaps are not always an issue.

Thank you! I'm not concerned. My wife makes excellent $$$ she could easily leave me and be quite comfortable on her salary, but she hasn't because she loves me and I love her. Our relationship is about spending time together doing the things we love, trust and respect for each other.

Not all. I've seen some fat people on the beach at the Baltic and they were conversing in Polish so let's be fair. Overall though, there do not seem to be as many fatso's in Poland as the U.S.

Actually, being originally from the east coast (of the U.S.) I quite like the directness of the Polish people. It reminds me of New Yorkers & Bostonians and the rest of the people in the Northeast U.S. They cut to the chase without all the BS smalltalk. Now living on the west coast of the U.S. (near San Francisco) I have to remind myself constantly to greet people with the small talk. A lot of people have called me rude or abrasive but the fact is, I'm from the east coast where people are just more direct, very similar to Polish. I also noticed years ago that californians are ridiculously over sensitive.

No they're $1 coins. The first in the series had George Washington. They're gold in color. Not solid gold. They're worth a buck, but they are unique. The kids in Poland loved em'. A roll is only $50.

Most Poles I talk to do not care for Turks and find them generally to be rude and obnoxious. This is just what I hear from most, but not all Polish people in my travels to Poland. Speaking with a University History Professor in Krakow this past summer the subject came up in relation to a conversation about Poland's Armenians who have been in Poland since 1300's.

I was told that Ignacy Lukasiewicz was a Polish Armenian who developed the oil business in Poland in the 1800's and invented the kerosene lamp. The Polish Professor was a fascinating person to talk with and we have mutual friends in Krakow so hopefully I will have the opportunity to speak with him again in the future. He said that a historical fact is that among the many reasons for deporting Armenians during World War I was that the Turks were very Jealous of the Armenians because the Armenians were very industrious, had culture, successful businesses, etc. Kind of like the Jewish in Eastern Europe before WWII.

The Turks and Kurds displaced millions Armenians from 1915-1923 and killed or marched to their death 1.5 million Armenians. A good majority of present day Turkey is Ancient Armenia. So basically Armenians were driven from their land and this is the reason Turks vehemently deny the Genocide because they are worried about ancestors demanding reparations. Turks are very good at re-writing history from what I have been told and from what I have researched on the subject.

Most of the intelligent people in Poland that I have talked with despise them and have had bad experiences with them especially many of those who have lived and worked in Germany and had the opportunity to interact with Turkish people in that country.

I will not repeat here the stories I have been told about those experiences.

Yes, especially a very good friend of mines 106 year old Turkish Grandmother, that's right 106. She lived in Smyrna (now Izmir) in 1915 and remembers Turks killing Greeks and Armenians. She is Turkish and admits the whole thing. She is a wonderful person and believe it or not, she lives alone in her apartment and is still able to cook for herself. She saw many atrocities perpetrated against Armenians and believes Turkey should just admit the truth. She lives in California near me.

Also, the U.S. Ambassador to Turkey in 1915 was Henry Morgenthau. He wrote a book about his first-hand experiences in dealing with the 3 Main perpetrators, Enver, Taalat, and Djemal. He personally witnessed and watched the whole thing and tried to get help for the Armenians. You can read a few chapters from his book, they are fascinating:

Let's get something straight.......everyone is racist and if they tell you they're not then they are a damn liar. Here in the states, blacks cry racism over EVERYTHING. But guess what, they are just as bad. They have their comments, jokes, snide remarks, and hushed comments about white people that are just as bad as the the things whites say about blacks. Then you got the hispanics crying about racism and they do the same thing, and the chinese, and the pilippinos, koreans, arabs, persians, greeks, etc etc etc. Every race is racist towards other races to some degree. I live in an incredibly diverse area, the San Francisco Bay Area where 127 languages are spoken here daily and it's so obvious that EVERYONE has racist thoughts, remarks, comments, feelings, and attitudes. The funny part is those who claim not to be racist. Yeah, right. Mr. & Mrs. Utopia. My how we should all strive to be just like them. Give me a break!!!!!!!!!! You've got blacks that hate everybody, chinese who hate blacks, pilippinos who hate hispanics, whites who hate blacks, blah blah blah...............

I've heard comments from neighbors of the beautiful Greek Church in the Oakland Hills during the annual Greek Festival complaining about "those dirty Greeks". Racism dude, pure and simple. I go to this festival every year and have heard these negative comments as their neighborhood gets overrun by festival go-ers. You're half-Greek, there's a gazillion half-Greeks in the U.S. No one even knows your Greek, of course you hear no racism.

EVERYONE harbors racism against one group or another in every country in the world. Anyone who denies this does not want to face reality.
I'm all about cutting through the bullsheet and getting to the point.
