Life / 3 reasons why you hate Poland. [1049]

great. another legal business f*cked by gaverment...
in short: legal business of selling *legal* drugs /mostly speed-like/, those shops was suddenly checked by Ministry of Finance (??) (ministerstwo finansow) and Sluzba Celna /well... guys who keep guard on borders, track illegal things etc/- and all those checks are with coincidence with fact, that there *will* be a novelisation of anti-drug law.

In short: do not think about opening business in Poland- because one beautiful day you will be stopped- your business will be destroyed- and you will be (probably) punished *before* your business will be illegal.

Life / Do you think that Polish people are rude? [951]

polish people and they are all physically and vocally(if they can be bothered to speak english at all) rude

oh, how someone can be 'physically rude'? explain that
and, of course, English 'how are you?' 'are you all right?' replied x8 per hour by poeple who *really* don't care about this is less rude?

Life / Do you think that Polish people are rude? [951]

@davey1

well... instead of ad personam attack could you tell me: whats more rude: not carrying about someones health and life and not showing (non-existent) interest /although, I don't mean showing to someone 'f*ck off' attitude/ or not carrying about someones health and life and wearing a mask and trying to look like someone who care /but, of course, showing this in a really 'unproffesional' way, so most people will get this message/?

ah, I'd forgot: using descriptions like 'rude' etc etc is not really a valid answer.

Some people love them

they love them, because they never lived in one of them. its really nice to support something when you have no idea what it really is (think about morons with che or sickle&hammer on their t-shirts)

Love / Do Polish Women age well? [153]

in my opinion- no, they do not age well. British chicks age well- you can see quite many (i.e. much more than in poland) 40+ chicks that are still fvckable ;)

unfortunatelly (or not)- polish girls look better while being a teen or in twenties (british girl look sexier when they are ~30 yo)

Language / "Poles" or "Polish people" - which is better to use? [200]

@basiamarysiacio

i don't know who you mean by 'we', but i'd not be happy if someone would call me 'Polan' (or, in fact, any other tribe-man-name). And I also see no problem when someone calls me a Pole (or Polish)- seriously, it doesn't matter (for me at least)

UK, Ireland / Why are Polish people, especially women, so disrespectful toward the English? [437]

Men who use prostitutes should be shot. Pimps too.

??
if you wish to receive full-pro service, you go to professionelle ;)

The moronic ones choose not to integrate and only cause problems. They are little ingrates with little purpose to their lives. Good folk rise above that.

oh, yeah, right. no, actually wrong.
the moronic people do not think and do whatever other do (i.e. without thinking, 'just because'). less idiotic can think and chose: to integrate or not. question is: why should they integrate? why should they leave their old habits etc and replace them with the new ones?

If others make sensible choices, the morons only do by default then.

right, it would be stupid to disagree with you.

What are their old habits then?

i've been thinking about something that could be described rather as 'mentality' than 'normal' habits

Men who view women as nothing more than a piece of meet are inhumane.

sure; of course it also apply to women viewing men as walking wallet are much better, right? and, seriously: why the f*ck viewing them as they are (in many cases just a meet) would be 'inhumane'

They should be treated as such. I view the abuse of vulnerable women(prostitutes) as rape.

lol. of course you exclude voluntary prostitution, right? ah, no, sorry: they have been enforced 'by society' (pimp, drugs etc) into it, without their faut, right?

Life / IS CHEATING ON EXAMS OK? (younger Poles don't think so) [30]

Greeks are masters in cheating.Next to university there are photocopy shops for making text pages very small to hide them everywhere possible.Some girls put them in their stockings or bras where a male exam supervisor is unlikely to check.

hm... it is much better to print data using small (4-6) monotypic font (but everything should be capitalised) than play with photocopy... its usually much clearer... it's what i heard ;)

Language / Do Poles prefer US American or UK English language? [147]

American pronunciation is easier (and grammar is easier too), AmEn is much more 'clear' than British (think about all '-our' and other French borrowings!)
Also, USA's influence is bigger (I mean: most TV programs are from USA, same with music) than UK's

History / The great mistakes of Poland's history? [216]

not destroying a Zakon Krzyzacki (despite biting them on field)- and Contr-Reformation. Those are the biggest mistakes (in my humble opinion)

Language / Polish people: did you struggle learning English - differences between both languages [75]

Polish is a dying language

can you provide me information about it? or did you just made it up?
and no- i couldn't agree with statement, that 'English has more words'. Word creating in Polish is really nice, you can add 'od-' 'do-' 'na-' and other suffixes, that change the meaning of word (and no, Latin suffixes aren't as 'creative')

Language / Polish people: did you struggle learning English - differences between both languages [75]

those Polish words you create are illegal/unofficial, unlike the English words which are regulated and approved

1.
(..)As there is no regulatory body for the English language, there is some disagreement about correct usage, though there is enough agreement that the written form of English is relatively transcendent of dialectal variation. In addition to being used in written media such as books and newspapers, it is also the basis of Signed English.(..)

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Formal_written_English

2. what means 'illegal word'?
3. language isn't a possession of some arbitrary chosen Committees, its a live thing. if i create word that can be understood by others- than this word is 'OK'.

It's a lot harder as it's got more words/a bigger alphabet, etc...

ekhm, English has a bigger alphabet? it's just a nonsense

Life / Do you collect mushrooms in your country? Poles in Poland do. [79]

@zetigrek
and where is a photo of miodownik?

btw thanx for photos, that reminds me when i've been younger, i used to collect shroms and blueberries in the forest (usually in Kaczory, near Piła)- but i've never eat them (i.e. mushrooms)- because they are nasty (they are good only in bigos or zapiekanka)

USA, Canada / Polack/American Polonia/Plastic Pole "culture" [568]

@Polonius3
"(..)don't even have their own Polish keybaord, but a Yankee one that requries double-typing to get the Polish characters.(..)"

Polish typist keyboard (214keys) is a crap; i'm glad it extincted with typewriters. "the yankee one" (US International) is much better for me and for most people.

History / Poland's undying debt to Polonia [76]

I just wonder: why the hack someone who has left Poland (or simply speaking: was never living there), not working there and not paying taxes should have a right to vote- sorry, but many Poles (especially those who left Poland in 80s/90s) have absolutely broken image of their country.
