If some of you went to school in Poland even secondary you can find your klassmates.
If you have friends with whom you lost kontakt also you can find them by typing name and surname and the city. 3milions peopple are registered on that site so worth to try.

nasza-klasa.pl/country

Those who went to school will menage, others if are looking for polish friends you need to go on the right top in Szukaj-search, then in szukaj osoby write name and surname then miasto-city-write the city

Good luck!

They still are improving the site. It has been slow all the time so everyone do not be surrprised if it dosent work sometimes cos there are pleanty of people using at once but hopefully they will improve it and more will register. I just got a message from a guy I was sitting with at the school beanch when we were 7 years old. He tight reabon from my hair to the chair once so I coudnt get up...that was fun to see him how he looks like now.

Loaded fine for me. Wasnt slow as all

Let me try it out for possible 'relatives'.

I did the search thing but it said
Przykro nam, nie udało się znaleźć miasta o podobnej nazwie - proszę sprawdź, czy dobrze podałeś (aś) nazwę miasta. - Whats that mean?

There is another box next to search "Numer szkoły lub nazwa ulicy" - meaning?

O

Mi pomoc !Couldn't find that from the link. I managed to get the school but I couldnt see the search tool for the surname.

There is the blue backround on the top. On the highest top right side it is written in white in smaller letter wiadomosci-profil-szukaj-pomoc-wyloguj, press the szukaj then follow the previous instuctions.

"Numer szkoły lub nazwa ulicy"

Name of school, number or the street.

In the UK the most popular equivalent is called friendsreunited.co.uk - Friends Reunited. I understand that Nasza Klasa is a relatively recent phenomenon in Poland, where as we had FR in the UK years ago (and I'm kicking myself for not thinking about ripping off their idea and doing it myself in Poland ages ago).

I know German version of Nasza-Klasa. It's called schulerverzeichnis (for high school or elemantary schools students) and studiverzeichnis (for uni students). But it seems like when you graduate your school, you are not a member of the site anymore so it works different than Polish one.

Ben - don't kick yourself for not setting up earlier. It might well have failed.

I, too, looked into the possibilities of setting up - 4 years ago. I contacted 2 IT people, talked over the idea but pulled out due to my fear of a new, big boy appearing on the scene.

I think these two went ahead with my idea and will now be in the process of being wiped out due to a lack of capital to push their baby.

You can add me to the list as well. I abandoned the idea pretty early as several Polish friends of mine said it wouldn't work in Poland as most Poles tend to keep in touch with school friends. The ones they don't want to keep in touch with they don't bother with.

Needless to say I don't ask for their advice anymore :)

Nasza Klasa and Friends Reunited has a limited shelflife as once the majority of class mates sign up then there is no further incentive to renew subscriptions year after year. The creators will still make stacks of money though !!

I'm not so sure Nasza Klasa will be wiped out. Any company first onto the market always has an enormous advantage over it's rivals and in this particular case, once the rivals have rolled out their own version then Nasza Klasa will have swept up most of the market.

There are loads of business models in the UK & the US that could be transplanted in Poland. I 've dozens of ideas............just not enough money :(

Nasza Klasa were not the first on the market.
Szkolne lata and possibly others have been going for a number of years

Polish Classmates Website?

I heard there is a big website in Poland to find classmates. It's similar to classmates.com in the USA. I can't find it on the web. Does anyone know this address?

I visited the nasza-klasa website, but I did not find anybody registered from grade school (no classmates, just teachers)and only 2 people from high school. We were not friends then, so I did not registered...

I'll check in from time to time, if someone I was friends with shows up...I bet many people are doing the same. :)
