Saying that I am happy that certain families receive it. Too often kids were taken away not because of abuse etc but simply because they were poor. And then the gov was paying such money to the foster parents that they would solve all their problems in the first place

Celebrations one twice a year ok (I mean little and at about 16) but giving a young person alcohol on regular basis is...stupid frankly speaking. And it's not only about alcoholism but general impact of alcohol.

As a kid I was allowed bear foam. As a teenager I could take a sip or two of wine or beer. The first proper drink I was allowed with the grown-ups was after I turned 18.

Btw, an adult can be charged for giving alcohol to under 18. Even 16/17 yo
