News / Poles march against Mandatory poisoning by vaccines [202]

Parents who took their baby from hospital to avoid vaccinations were later acquitted by the court.

Vaccination should certainly be mandatory, and should be encoded on the chip in passports. No vaccinations, no travel.

Love / Why do Polish guys stare a lot? And what does that mean? [14]

Some Poles were never corrected by their betters and shown that it is rude to stare

This is common in Poland, unfortunately, however in a workplace, with a blush and a twinkle: he sounds interested but shy.

News / Petition for War Crimes Reparations for Poland [126]

Everybody who supports such claims supports also populists,

And the courts, of course, don't support them.

I'm suprised to find you in their corner Jon...

I'm not. The financial settlement was agreed by Poland and Germany decades ago, low though it was. There are individual cases with merit and you may notice that 'weimarer' conflates that issue with the non-issue of assets formally owned by German citizens who fled or were sent west at the end of the war with deliberate damage by the invaders.

No country in the world would favor Poland over Germany.

You really do come across as if you're trying to address a rally...

and Poland is thrown under the bus.

You really think Poland stands alone this time? :-D

News / Petition for War Crimes Reparations for Poland [126]

Poland will not get anything from us, the fate of your ancestors is absolute irrelevant for me. I dont care if they suffered. I

Laws and governments however do.

Thats your problem. You are too weak. Weak economy, weak military and weak diplomatic stand in the world.

That sounds just like you're trying to address a rally...

i bombed nothing.

Those who did invade Poland and start a war were nevertheless liable, as are their heirs today; liable until every last bit of damage is compensated. With compound interest.

Your destiny was speared.

Does this Reparations also include to pay compensations to all the Germans who lost their home and house?

Or the Poles who lost theirs, when you bombed them.

isn't it interesting that Amerecan hooey is really chuj

I always wondered about that, as soon as I heard the Polish word (or asked someone what this HWDP is that seemed to be written on every wall in Warsaw)

it can mean something like 'rotten jerk' or 'worthless'...

"A heap of hooey", roughly cognate to the well-known English language expession "bunch of arse".

Yes. He was already filled with rage over the humiliation of losing the 2007 election,

Absolutely seething.

it was either blame other people or hate himself for causing his brother's death...

His reaction was typical of someone who knows they're culpable.

Food / What do non-Poles think about eating the following Polish foods? [1450]

A lot of health benefits. The various sauces made round the world with it vary in two ways. One is whatwver is put in it to make it a sauce (and how much is added), the other is how much is grated from the outside or from the centre; this affects the heat. Polish tastes tend toward the mild and creamy.

The variety of plant varies too; the kind that people grow in Poland tends to have narrower leaves than the kind in the UK, and suits the dryer climate it grows in.

not too sure what the secret is

Well drained and rich soil. Keep it well-watered in summer, and harvest iafter the first frost. Don't pick all of it every year; leave some and it will grow like a weed.

Also, horseradish!

I find it rather mild compared to the type I'm used to. The milder sort (depends how the root is grated) does work better in large quantity though.

Do you like ćwikła? I can take it or leave it, however home-made is much better than the usual stuff in PL from jars.

That foreign article changes nothing. Zero. It's just a rehashing of old conspiracy theories

A senior Polish security official bluntly informed me,

Makes all the difference. Not.

Language / Game - guess Polish idioms/sayings in direct English translation [1756]

Someone just wrote this in a message to me while saying goodnight: "cmokam w lewą skroń"

The literal meaning about kissing the left temple is obvious, however does it have an idiomatic meaning as well? I don't remember every hearing it.

I don't really think she wants to give me a smacker on the left temple....
