Poles: Do what we want but in our country we choose not to have easy access to guns.

What give up power?
Unlike in USA on Poland we have many political parties. We even had a freaking ' beer lovers' party.
Quite recently we had a party that was putting in their manifesto relaxing gun laws. Didn't go far. Combined with the fact that all the surveys show little support for such a change every sensible person has to admit it seems Poles simply don't want relaxing gun laws.

I feel being taken more seriously in Poland. There is less of the girls Vs boys feeling, there is less of relationship drama and silly things (like 'allowing' your partner do something), more real deep friendship between men and women.

Police is at a very high risk of being attacked. They may have to enter dangerous places etc.

No, people are not interested. Noone is calling for one.
Even the people pro relaxing gun laws don't call for one And party going into politics with gun laws points were not very successful. Why waste money on that?

While I don't condone it with women like you Lenka, I certainly understand it.

Why not hold a referendum and then have an overwhelming victory on the subject?

Because it's a non issue for Poles? Should we make a referendum because some people from across the globe don't like the fact we don't want to follow their laws?There is no significant movement to get it changed really. If there was a plan to change it it would be nice to get it under referendum.

To those who pay any attention to the idiots here:
There was about 1.000 abortion a year in Poland before the change in law. Even pro abortion organization talks about 2.5 k abortions in 3 years.
You have to now wonder where the morons get their numbers from.

There are evening classes too, helps to keep you motivated.

I tried to look into it but in my area they only have men's shed (with men's included twice in the description so not sure how welcomed I would be) plus it's during my working hours.

Despite time I also lack the place. With the dirt, chemicals etc I would need a space to do it.

I don't know whose book you found but it wasn't mine.

The more important thing is that he even tried to find it.

That sounds wonderful Arch. I wish you all the success. I wish I could have a read but I understand 200% the need to keep it away from PF.

I must say I would like to get involved in some woodwork, furniture flip/restoration. I love building flatpacks with a passion. And to be honest all kinds of renovation, painting etc. Never had a chance to really get into it.

Either as Polish police don't take out their guns very often. They deal with the situation without guns.

I find it funny how deep that paranoia is. You can't stand the thought that many places don't see the need to have guns and don't want your advice (yours as in Americans). Screams insecurity really.
