Indeed, during the last 20 years we supported them as much as we could and instead of sympathy we got sh*t on the stick but why any conficlt with them on the government level ? I would do 2 things:

1. Ignore them. Poland is a much more important partner for Lithuania then vice versa.
2. Offer 50% lower income tax for first 3 years for all young and skilled Lithuanian Poles moving to Poland permanently.

Nominally It is worth 0.5 PLN and 1USD=2.8 PLN... If It is in excellent condition (never in circulation) some collector could pay $10-15 (depends on year/series) for, If It is in very good condition then I think $4-6 and If It is a normal banknote, which were kept in many wallets than rather no more than $1-2. Generally Polish banknotes from late PRL/early IIIRP era aren't worth much because there are many of them on the market.

Seriously though, there was a recent case in which Ambulance personnel got sentenced for finishing people of by putting them to sleep (permanently) for their organs, elderly for the most part.

That's partly true. It had been the fornt page news here for weeks about 3 years ago. But It wasn't about organs but... about being paid by undertakers for news about recent deaths... they probably killed dozens of people to get... 1000 PLN for each of them.

LOL ! That clown wasn't in any clinic but in izba wytrzeźwień - the place where totally drunk clowns are broght by police and locked up until they get sober. I saw a completely drunk English **** when I was in Kraków last time but I didn't call the police, just pissed on that ****.

Seriously, I remember in early 90's many people had to buy 2nd hand clothes as they didn't afford new ones, now clothes imported from Asia cost pennies, anyone who buy 2nd hand just want to have something unusual.

You are right, I've got no idea about the costs. Could you then enlighten me instead of over exploiting again the pathetic "you don't like It because It makes Poland look bad" stuff ? I've got no idea, simply see an article where people responsible for that issue say there is no better solution and people from the travel industry criticize It (no comments from independent experts) so unlike you, I'm not so sure that the latter must be right. If you are, then I think we will soon hear much more detailed alternatives, not only some guesses you have presented so far.

It seems to me that some Americans on this forum do not understand one simple thing:
This shield wasn't for Poland protection it was for USA (and maybe western Europe). Poland would be ON the shield NOT under. So it was Poland doing a favour to USA not the other way around.

Some people are too stupid to understand that.

and in the end Poland still can get some lower priced Patriots which are important for our defence system :-)

We can get much better deals in Europe with a lot of cooperation for our industry. Yanks will give us 5% lower price and then screw us up big time on the spare parts. Screw them, no more deals with dumb rednecks.

Some yes, some not... Personally I do. I wasn't a big fan of the "shileld" being located in Poland but the government level agreement was signed and USA should respect It or at least offer us some series compensation insted but they simply announced that they changed their mind and they did that... on the 70th anniversary of the Soviet invasion... No matter what America says is worth nothing now as once there's a new guy in the White House they may forget about their obligations. It means that we should complety change our security strategy and that is what matters, not the "shield" itself.

Poland has a ******** government at the moment (too right wing IMO)
