Last month when I was in Poland I met a poster with his another American pal who was very drunk already in a bar by me I had to call the cops on the bartender.The poster from here left and his friend and me were chatting,when I went to the bathroom that guy left and had a unpaid bill for 37Pln and the bartender wanted me to pay.Before that we were all paying our own tabs.I refused to pay and wanted to leave but the bartender came by the door and blocked me from leaving so I dialled 911 and cops were there in 5 minutes.I had also said on my call to the cops that I am being held hostage "FOR MONEY" and told that to the cops again.They told that fuc.king Ukrainian bartender to back off and I could leave,but I sat there and had another beer and then left.The cops even asked me if I wanted to file a legal complaint,which I didnt want as there was no moola in it:)))))

Polish police is well trained and now know how to deal with the situation and at least in Warsaw they speak Angelski well.

Yes you can and its pretty easy if you have the paperwork.With new law(Not so new) you will need an Polish Pesell(SS #,I dont know if you have in Canada)I would suggest get an Polish agent in Canada and pay them 500 or 1000 $ and wait,might take 6 mths as I heard lately now.I got my kids before 2004 in 3 weeks.After you get the positive decision for Citizenship confirmation you can apply for a Polish passport.

All can be done through the Polish Embassy/Consulate in Canada.

I think it has started to happen.Most immigrants speak there mother tongue at home and among themselves.They stay among there community,I personally know couple of Armenians and Russians.The seniors in there family living in Poland for over a decade dont speak a word of Polish,LOL I can speak better coming there every month.

Yes,in fact there are more opportunities in Poland than in the US in business.In US one has to compete with people from all over the world but in Poland its an open field.Poles are still learning to do business.

Thats when 777 umowa kicks in.Takes 3/4 days for judge to sign/stamp the removal order(If the freaking judge is not on vacation) and then 5 days for kpmurnik(if paid good lol max 2000pln) and the tenant is out and you can gobble his 2 1/2 month security on some fixing/removal of his property pretext lol.Had to do it just once in 23 years in Poland and maybe 5/6 times in the US(In fact takes 1 1/2 month here).


Dont do offices,they are just like residentials,suitcase tenants.
Warehouse is usually rented by big companies,but again with 777 umowa might be fun to get them out with all there stuff in there except for the perishables in cold storage area.12 years never had to do it with same tenant YET.LOL and they automatically increase the rents this year was 14.7%,Others I had to negotiate but none less then 11%.How I wish inflation goes up to 50% lol.

Nope,never,by doing that he acknowledges the problem and thus has to respond and take action for it.In case of email he can always claim he didnt get it or maybe went to his spam folder.He should just quietly ignore and keep on paying the way he has to.

Illegal to even ask


He is correct.He can change the lock/or cylinder in the lock for his safety and should give you the key/code or original key only when he surrenders the property.


Dont matter,he could be having a drug factory there,all the landlord can do is report his suspicion to the cops.And even if they cops find out that he is doing something illegal,the landlord still cannot do anything until the tenant is convicted of the crime,then too if he has mentioned that in the original umowa that no illegal activity should be conducted in the rented place(Usually no landlord in Poland is that brilliant to mention that clause esp in residentials).Even if any burst pipe or anything the fire/police or concerned dept should open the flat maybe with the landlords help but never the landlord by himself.

I hope the OP has the energy on his name as if the tenant dont pay,then the landlord should also not pay and let them cut off the utilities.Landlord can always pay the utilities after the problem is settled and reinstate the utilities.

I have my commercial Umowa in Poland of 57 pages and got a notary and a lawyer together and got it made and paid 1400pln same in US for 800$ from a real estate lawyer,except for anchor tenants who usually dictate there terms but they are corporate and never a problem.
