@Cargo pants
Cause certain traits go down from parent to child, if parents were verbally abusive towards their kid (with the thought of making them stronger) it will continue to the next kid, and so on cause they don't any other way of raising a child except how their own parents did it to them.

Me myself, I was quite lucky as past two generations have been a lot milder. Thing I scared of is that I could be a lot harsher parent to my children if I ever have them. My only comfort is it that my dog seem to like me and adore me, and misses me if I am not around. Still doesn't give me full certainty yet

But it is a lottery.. Kids are not their parents copy.

@Lenka
True, but it has such high probability that more often then not. I would be surprised if same mentality/behaviour does not follow through. Especially among more known families or reputation based one's.

Unknown families or those that has no structure/framework are 100% lotteries

I wouldn't say so. I have 3 siblimgs and we are all so different.

General decency or lack of it is more constant but still nit enough to draw conclusions on a person character

@Lenka
I didn't draw any conclusions, I was only calculating the probability. It seems more negative then positive until convinced otherwise.

I do not set my opinion of people in stone, nor is it unchangeable. No matter how judgemental you might think I am.

I don't perceive as informing on someone, especially somebody close or related to hostile/enemy authorities as something positive, which seems you or closest family has done or does or won't mind doing if your opposing the statement I made so much.

And no, I am not judging right now. I am giving you ground to either prove my point or show it being wrong

which seems you or closest family has done or does or won't mind doing if your opposing the statement I made so much.

And how did you come to that conclusion ?

I didn't draw any conclusions, I was only calculating the probability

No, there was no calculqting. You said straight that the traits go down from parent to kid.

His mother was a communist informist.

Just like your parents were - they informed communists in Poland about post war Polonia emigrants in GB, especially London. They spied on Anders and other anticommunist guys who were the pain in the ass of the communist regime in Warsaw.

I am fairly sure @pawian can attest to that

I can`t coz I didn`t read your discussion as fairly off topic. This thread is about Mr Future President of Poland Trzaskowski, not toxic parents.

Mr President Joe Biden is going to meet Mr Mayor Future President of Poland RafaƂ Trzaskowski.

After the meeting with Biden, Trzaskowski said in social media that during the conversation he thanked the US president "for great courage and confirmation of security guarantees, as well as for recognizing the merits of the entire Polish society in accepting Ukrainian refugees." Warsaw is in solidarity," he stressed. "

Mr Future President of Poland Trzaskowski interviewed by a CNN reporter speaks very good English, as usual.

He said

Poles feel safe thanks to US President, his administration and Ukrainians who fight for Polish freedom and values.
We should help Ukraine as much as we can.
Poland and Warsaw have been enriched by Ukrainian refugees.

Comments on his performance under the video

Never in my life did I think I would be watching a Polish mayor articulate the English language better than the president of the United States. Strange times we're living in.

That dude speaks English way more fluently than me and I'm Canadian.

This guy is profoundly radiating his tremendous faith and energy to every human he encounters!

Very level-headed guy. Very articulate. Warsaw seems to be lucky to have him as mayor.

He does,I don't know his political leanings but he seems like a very sensible man to me.

Centre right.

A bit too libertarian in outlook for me but still a decent and capable politician and a very safe pair of hands for Poland.

@pawian
To you it might seem off-topic as it suits you and your agenda to dismiss heritage, the past and history in general it seems. Most likely cause it doesn't benefit you or your platform or you are too strongly thinking about the present without a past, while others like me see to the future based on the past to a much larger degree.

So yes, according to me what kind of surname, past and parents he had. Does matter

heritage, the past and history

I'd say that President Trzaskowski is very much part of Poland's heritage; his views are shared by millions and he will certainly go down in history as a great statesman.

@jon357

as a great statesman.

Well, well, but he must be a President of Poland and not onty mayor of ( unimportant ) Warsow.
jon357 74 | 22,396
24 Feb 2023 #169
and not onty mayor

He's not only the Mayor. Warsaw has several Mayors, one for each borough. Hence referring to him as President. In the UK he'd be Lord Mayor.

( unimportant ) Warsow.

The capital is 'unimportant'?????

Mayors (or Lord Mayors) of capitals often go on to lead their country. And this has happened already in Poland in recent years.

Too many yous. You are still wandering off topic. This thread is about Mr Future President of Poland Trzaskowski, not me. Ha!
Get a grip coz it seems you are in a huge mental disarray.

( unimportant ) Warsow.

Bollox. Warsaw is the most important city in Poland.

Mayors (or Lord Mayors) of capitals often go on to lead their country

BJ was the Mayor of London.

Mayby, but unimportant worldwide.

Bollox. It is important as the capital of Poland which plays a major role in supporting Ukraine.

Poland, Poland? wait a minute, where it is? In Holland...? No between Estland and Moldau? Sorry I don't know where.
It isn't a joke. That are true answers that I have heard in the past.

It is your personal choice and problem that you converse with morons. Don`t involve Warsaw and her Mayor into it.

Poland, Poland? wait a minute, where it is? In Holland...?

I've never heard anyone say that either. Anyone in Europe with an IQ over about 80 and not chewing straw in a tiny mountain village knows that Warsaw is the capital of Poland.

The only confusion I've had among Brits when they ask where I live is if they mishear it as Wallsall (near Birmingham).
Alien 21 | 5,197

Anyone in Europe with

Ha, ha, do you know that every third Berliner was never to Poland and there are only 80km to Polish border.
jon357 74 | 22,396
24 Feb 2023 #177
every third Berliner was never to Poland

That's their loss. I wonder why they don't visit?

Anyway, it's not rare for Mayors or Lord Mayors of capital cities to go on to higher things. Paw mentioned Boris, and there's also Chirac & others in France as well as Lech K in Poland. And of course Poland is becoming more important on the European and world stage due in part to the resolute and pro-active role in diplomacy and aid to Ukraine and in part due to the developing economy and rising living standards.

President Trzaskowski is destined for greater things.
