a party inside the Finnish prime minister's official residence

What's wrong with that?

Is she supposed to live in a cell like some sort of permanently depressed nun and never enjoy parties?

PiS politicians tend to spend weekends as far from Warsaw as possible and get taxpayer funded jets and limos to get there

Quite. They won't be entitled to that for much longer fortunately.

make worldwide news and lead for calls for her to resign

The criticism and calls for her to resign came from the opposition, as far as I remember, and from some journalist with Russian name who posted the video. According to polls people in Finland in general weren't terribly upset.

And I guess you didn't see comments from Poles under Polish articles about this... :)
A whooping majority was like:

"Why can't we have such a prime minister???"

"Leave her alone, she's a human being, she can party in her free time. Everyone needs to relax."

"Finns are criticising her?? What is wrong with them??"

"She's hot."

lol

If that video leak was done by RuSSians (they were doing such stuff to Russian anti-Putin oppositionists), to discredit the Finnish prime minister for the decision to join NATO, then it didn't work :)

Do tell...

I already did. In Warsaw that is not a secret.

And then we can discuss some of the shadier affairs of PiS.

What for? That would be off topic and we could as well talk about ****** in the USA lol!

No, it isn't a secret. It's a lie.

That would be off topic

Very on topic, since he beat the burak they put up against him at the Mayoral election.

No, it isn't a secret. It's a lie.

funny how you defend politically connected fat cats who kicked thousands of working class tenants out of their apartments with thugs, and burn a woman activist to death who protested it. it's almost as if you betray everything you stood for in your youth, and your working class friends and their memory, oh wait you shamelessly have. your parents must be turning in their grave in shame?

we all know what happened in warsaw under the po administration.

Dogs are barking but the caravan is going on - a Polish proverb which well illustrates Mr Venerable Future President Trzaskowski`s situation. He is critizised for dozens of things he didn`t do and didn`t have any influnce on. Yet, he doesn`t care and is doing his job. Amazing!

Guys, you certainly heard about Campus for Future Poland - a series of conferences for young people interested in politics and attended or run by politicians and civil servants - Polish and foreign.

The second edition has just finished:

gamingdeputy.com/future-poland-campus-who-will-attend-mayor-of-warsaw-rafal-trzaskowski-about-the-program-and-guests/

Another edition with a much greater momentum, we invited 1,300 young people from all over Poland. 400 panelists, 200 panels - announced the Mayor of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski, the organizer of the event.

The Campus will be attended by, among others, the US ambassador to Poland, Mark Brzezinski, the Russian oppositionist Garri Kasparow, leaders of opposition groups: Szymon Hołownia, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Donald Tusk, as well as local government officials, scientists, journalists and artists.

Did they invite Leszek Balcerowicz again, or was he blacklisted after his condescending and embarrassing performance last time? Gotta hide Trashkowski's true intentions to the youth after all.

Did they invite Leszek Balcerowicz again,

Nope, they invited another celebrity: Mark Brzezinski, son of this Zbig Brzeziński.

Mark Brzezinski,

Another American tool. What he is doing with German option? Does he even know?

@Cojestdocholery
He seems to go with standard American diplomacy, haven't noticed anything unique from him yet. (Meeting with opposition, refugees, minorities bla bla bla)

Very routine like, haven't seen him being any aggressive or overly critical of the government

What he is doing with German option?

Stop obsessing about those Germans at last!!! You see them everywhere!!! Even under your bed???? hahahahaha

politically connected fat cats

Like PiS? No need to defend them; they lost in Warsaw. Mayor Trzaskowski won.

You may as well get over it, moaning about your favourite party having lost in Warsaw, not that it's anything to do with you since you live about as far away as it's physically possible to get from Poland without actually leaving the planet.

Stop obsessing about those Germans at last!!! You see them everywhere!!! Even under your bed??

It's a typical PiS rise when things are going bad for them. And right now, things are going very bad for them and are likely to get worse. Thee are senior figures connected to that circle that are just that little bit too positive over the decades with r*SSia, and they know they can't keep a lid on that for ever.

your parents must be turning in their grave

They're alive, reasonably well and voted Conservative last time. Don't assume that everyone from an industrial town gets their hands dirty or keeps coal in the bath. As for 'working class friends' the only ones of those I have are in Poland. And they don't vote for PiS either.

Stop obsessing about those Germans at last!!! You see them everywhere!!! Even under your bed??

I was a womaniser! admitted Trzaskowski.

But now he is a family man. It is really possible. Believe me, I know what I am saying.

a womanizer

a family man

That's the most popular combination among voters, both male and female. Virile and with a roving eye but essentially uxorious.

That's the most popular combination among voters,

Not only voters. Also among readers and cinema goers. They love when a bad brutal guy turns into a decent caring person after meeting this only woman who was destined by God the Mother for him.

E.g,

  • BAD ASSSSS like Chairman Kaczyński who sets fire to Poland

  • Good caring husband like Trzaskowski

no one knows Trzaskowski.

No true. He isn`t as famous as Tusk but certainly not unknown. After all, he ran for Presidency and lost by a few votes only.

He'll lead the country one day.

Warsaws gay and king scenes,

I'm not sure what a 'king scene' is however the other part isn't true unfortunately. Nice if he was though.

oppressive abuse

Dog-whistles to their small-minded and insecure voters.

They've not realised that attacks galvanise us into thriving more and that we always, but always, win.

There are a few swingers clubs, mostly for people who identify as straight.

Mr Future President of Poland Trzaskowski comments on the latest PiS scam scandal:

I hope that all this type of abuse will be clarified when PiS gives up power, said Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski in "Fakty po Faktach", commenting on the granting of millions of subsidies from the Ministry of Education to foundations associated with PiS. In his opinion, such actions look "as if PiS already knew that it would lose the election and was trying to secure itself for the future." - It is a pity that for public money - added the deputy head of PO.

Journalists of tvn24.pl described how money from the fund of the Minister of Education and Science, Przemysław Czarnek, went to organizations close to PiS. Multi-million subsidies were allocated for the purchase of new premises. Houses in Warsaw's Mokotów and Ursynów, an apartment in a historic tenement house and a plot with two ponds, its own forest and a "beekeeper's house" are just some of the 12 properties that Czarnek financed with public money. Meanwhile, many organizations dealing with education and teaching institutions did not receive a single zloty from the ministry's budget.

The organizers of the European Best Destination plebiscite for the most attractive tourist destination in Europe announced today the results of a three-week competition in which 21 cities participated. The winner of this year's edition of the competition is Warsaw.

- A city so modern, dynamically developing, with an extraordinary history. The capital of greenery, comfort and free time. A city of contrasts where everyone will find balance. A city where a few kilometers from the modern, lively new center of Warsaw and right next to the historic old town, the Vistula, a truly wild river, meanders among the greenery. Such things only in Warsaw! The title of European Best Destination 2023 is not only about prestige. Winners from previous years recorded a dozen or so percent increase in the number of tourists - emphasizes the Mayor, Mr Trzaskowski

The title of European Best Destination 2023 is not only a distinction, but also measurable benefits. The experience of previous winning cities such as Wrocław, Porto or Ljubljana shows that each titled city is gaining in popularity. The world's largest industry media write about it, and tourists from all over the world are starting to plan their stays there. Winners from previous years recorded a 12-percent increase in tourist traffic. In the case of Zagreb, which won the Best Christmas Market category for three years in a row, the increase was as much as 41 percent.
