Do you know these characters from Polish movies?

It comes from a comedy released last year.

Sorry, but there were a few released in 2018 and if I don`t know the actor, I would have to watch them all. So, I give up. :)

Lenka, your photo shows oberleutnant von Nogay from CK Deserters. Very funny film.

What do you all think of Maciej Stuhr, that is, as a new style- type of actor?

How about these two?

As for the 2018 film, the script was co-written by Abelard Giza.

How about these two? As for the 2018 film, the script was co-written by Abelard Giza.

They are characters from the comedy Female Commonwealth about post war soldiers from two camps: male and female. Commanders of the camps, I don`t know their film names, though, captain and lieutenant.

The title of 2018 film is Juliusz. I heard of it but I suspect it didn`t make a box office success.

@pawian
Good job.

And that's Juliusz.
I liked it and I can't say that about most recent Polish comedies.

Now not a comedy but one of the great ones and another group photo.

I mean that he's a new breed of actor, so nearly as I can tell. If you compare him with
Zbigniew Cybulski, Leon Niemczyk, Andrzej Lapicki, going back even further to Danuta Szaflarska,
he's more intense instinct rather than charm, almost a Polish James Dean, a sort of Rebel Without
A Clue (whoops, "Clause" or was that "Cause"LOL).

Understand what I'm saying? Caught some of "Jedwabne" on YouTube and several others films
he's played in and this is simply my own impression.

Just curious that's all what you think about him as a film performer:-)

He`s certainly a very good actor but not as charismatic as Zbigniew Cybulski who already became a legend when still alive. Simply speaking, Stuhr is only one of a few dozen popular actors, he is still too young to be a legend like his father, Jerzy Stuhr.

What film is it?

Marta from Pociąg.

Both Stuhrs are really good actors. Maciek is probably in his forties so not really a new generation.
His impersonifications are great -like the one of Gustaw Holoubek, talking about post war acting.

How about him

Yes, Marta from Train, a psychological film with great actors, the one from the so called Polish film school.
As for the new one, it looks like a new film again, and a problem repeats - I don`t know this actor.

It was released in 2011 and I actually first heard of it from foreigners.
The actor dyed his hair black (emo style) for the role. He's blonde.

ha, that is why I didn`t know! I heard that title but as I don`t like depressive topics and people, I will never watch it. :)

This one was also depressive so I didn`t watch it full, only main scenes. :):)

I seem to recall some pretty harrowing scenes from the film "Przesluchanie" (1982). Anybody care to comment?

No one wants to guess the film form #105?

Again, a hint: The title of the movie references an event an important anniversary of which was celebrated this year....

Kaprys recognised Przybylska, I am trying to find that film but .....

Well, it seems I am lousy at new films. You can beat me here. Plus, apart from depressive films, I also don`t watch romantic comedies.

Thank you for sticking to gender and sexual preferences parity - it is really important to be politically correct in today`s times. :):)
This trans is Eugeniusz Bodo who impersonated Mae West and sang the fav song of Polish cabarets: Sex appeal is our female weapon. Film Upstairs from 1937.

Oh, those innocent times when an actor could dress as a woman without offending anyone; )
Now eighty years later we 'moved on' ;)

Now if we're to be diverse ... who's that?
I hated it.
