How do I verify a Polish company's existence?

This question applies to Polish companies in general. But in my case, I was looking at the following:

Interprint Sublimation
Lomzynska 20/22, Lodz, Lodz - Poland, Poland

I wanted to know of any websites that I can use to verify and see this company's profile.

Dziejukie!

S.A. (Spółka Akcyjna), s.j. (spółka jawna), sp. z o.o. (Spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością):
- rejestr przedsiębiorców Krajowego Rejestru Sądowego (entrepreneurs registry of the National Court Register) or court registers (economic divisions) in the town where they have their head office.

s.c. (spółka cywilna):
- ewidencja działalności gospodarczej Urzędu Miasta - Town Hall's economic activity division

Every company has a REGON number given by GUS (Główny Urząd Statystyczny - Main Statistical Office) and NIP given by US (Urząd Skarbowy - Tax Office), maybe it's the way you can verify their existance, contacting the Urząd Statystyczny for Województwo £ódzkie, I'm not sure if this information is free of charge though :(

The first: Phisical person have a name and have to use it in bussines(but it's not always executed) partnerships use names of partners and letters s.c. (civil law partnership- for small ones) s.j. (general partnership) or rarely s.k. or S.K-A.

Moral persons use any name and letters sp. z o.o. (limited liability company) or S.A. (stock company)
Officials registers are KRS (National Court Register) for companies and partneships without s.c. and Ewidencja Działalności Gospodarczej in every local community for sole propietorship- s.c. are not registered- only partners of them.

This are only open registers, normally not aviable in internet.
To check your bussines partner you have to know name of owner (probably one) and check him in Municipality of £ódz or maybe it's partnership or company.

I'm a lawyer- you can conact me

Czesce Jess31! Can you clarify?

I do not see an option on Experian.com to check for international companies.

Dear Quacer ... throught this side you may apply for a credit check or a credit report of any company, such credit report includes information about the financial situation, exact profile of the company, owner(s), % of export and so on ... I guess you didn't even take your time to read the side carefully

To check your bussines partner you have to know name of owner (probably one) and check him in Municipality of £ódz or maybe it's partnership or company.

I am surprised that you cannot check on the internet for info about Businesses and their total sales per year because it is very easy for German, British and French companies which have to publish every fiscal year their numbers.

Otherwise It is very risky .
How do you know if a Polish client or Business Partner is official and has money?
If you have to go to each city Town hall it sounds complicated.

If you know their VAT number, you can run a check through the EU's website:
ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/vieshome.do?selectedLanguage=EN

However, this only works if the company has applied to make their VAT number valid in the EU - which for some strange reason isn't automatic. In other words, you could get a false negative if the company isn't an EU-registered VAT payer.

This is what I'd like to know too - why on earth is there no way to access a company's financial records?

Would you be able to find out if Poland Investments, Inc is in Poland or perhaps a agency I could call for verifying?

Thank you,

Richard

It's not going to be in Poland with 'Inc' in the name - it'll be somewhere else.

If you've got the website address, then use easywhois.com to see if you can find any details.

> Poland Investments Inc

Check out scam.com; they're listed as a scam.

I got an email too. They got me from a "job site". Yeah, sure, which one?

They offer me a job, without talking to me, for something vague I'm not qualified to do. And for a good deal of money.

They must want something, but I don't think I want to know what. Or how my email will get sold if I reply...

I too received an offer for employment via email from someone at a company called Poland Investments, Inc. It seems too good to be true so I am certain that it is, but what are the ramifications -- how does this scam work?

Without a doubt that is a scam and don't get caught by it. Why would a professional company that could offer so much then have a googlemail email address? They didn't leave a phone number either despite say you could call them.

Another reason I know this is a scam is because I receive such emails often in my hotmail account and I have never posted a resume on-line.

Watch out!! I got the same offer letter from jennifer.davis.pi.inc@googlemail.com. I suspect they will want your SSI # and your bank account info to deposit your pay check. With that info they can steal your identity.

Ah just when I thought I was going to be making alot of money!! HA

I read in a local newspaper here that an elderly lady was scammed out of £105,000 (her entire life savings) by one of these letters. Shocking.

I got the exact same letter except they specified the resume was on CareerBuilder. No specific job (I'm a librarian by trade) so it's highly unlikely to be authentic. In fact it was in my spam folder - found it when cleaning it out. Just delete.
