Merged: I am a UK Native English Speaker and teach Poles to Speak English by Skype (Callan/tailored methods)

I teach English to Poles by Skype (Callan method/adapted to the learner's needs) as well as help with CV's, job letters and job preparation. I specialise in teaching Poles as I have been doing so for many years and understand the specific pronunciation problems/advantages Poles have and can help on this basis.

You can see a manual I am currently writing to teach English using Polish phonetics here antimotivationalspeaker.webs.com which is a useful introduction to what I teach and why.

I do lessons by Skype as I know it is almost impossible for most students to get to schools as there is simply no time, and most students are too tired anyway!

This is the perfect solution to most learning needs. I am a native speaker, voice coach and teacher so Skype is very effective. I am also an academic writer and editor here mancbound.wixsite.com/easyessays and hence can help with all written work as well. I tailor lessons to individual needs, and do lessons at hours to suit you. Contact me today to discuss what I can do for you.

Hey, Rich!/ Cześć,Panie Ryszku!

I teach English as well, although not on Skype, not yet anyway:-)
Certainly be interested in exchanging thoughts on methodology, since I teach English, German, and have tutored Polish professionally on occasion, more US-born beginners, at this point.

Poles tend to learn other languages more phonetically than Anglo-American native speakers, I've found. As English is so chaotically UNphonetic, Americans at any rate seem to learn by reading, rather than by listening.

That's been my experience though.

Hope to hear from you, if and when you have a chance.

Salaam alaykum to you as well!

I take it you mean "Greek" in the second line, as "geek" is something entirely different:-)

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for a Polish speaking person - native or advanced learner, who would like to help me practise the language. I can offer help in English or if anyone is interested - in Bulgarian, too.

@pablo6791 - I tried to find you on Skype, but with no luck.

Welcome, Haydi _Kroft!

As you post that you are a Bulgarian native speaker looking to learn Polish, how authentic is your English? I ask because you offer assistance with those wishing to learn English and I was only curious whether you are bilingual, that's all:-)

I'm not bilingual, but I think my English is good enough to help anyone who needs it :)

PS: I guess it's just a mistake you made, but my nick is "laydi_Kroft" - the most incorrect way to spell "lady_Croft" :P

Hi! = I'm an American girl. I want to learn Polish and I can teach you English in return. My Polish is pretty much beginner so I have almost no Polish skills. You can ask what you'd like (simple chatting, lessons, etc.). I prefer Facebook messenger. I dislike Skype lol. Dziękuję! I forgot to mention, I'm living in Japan and speak Japanese, so if you want to learn Japanese I can help you with that too! Thank you (and sorry for the double post).

Cseść!
I am a native English speaker also learning Polish and would love people who can comfortable speak the language for emailing, facebook chat, phone, and Skype (though it may take a little while before I feel comfortable skyping with a stranger). I am happy to help with English, of course!

Please feel free to message me or email me!

Dzięnkuję!

Czesc. I am a native Polish speaker also learning English. I'm living in London at the moment trying to catch this lovely choked nasal accent. I think I can say now: thank you, available, immediately, Lewisham, Silvertown, Abbey Road and mind the gap between the train and the platform of course :) available was a real pain in the ear. At the moment I'm still unemployed so feel free to message me or email me in Polish. I always was curious if I'm able to teach someone ;)

Hey kaczka411! I'm sure you'll find someone soon. If not, check out italki. It has a free directory of people looking for language partners to exchange with. There might be some in your area. If not, you can always use Skype to talk to them. Here's my referral link: howtospeakpolish.com/italki

You don't have to use my referral link, but if you sign up with it, they'll give you (and me) a free lesson should you choose to take a paid lesson with one of their teachers. (I never bothered, the language partners on there were more than enough for my purposes)

+1 on italki, used it plenty myself. You'll not likely find a native Pole on there living in your area though, because they can just step outside to become immersed in English. There's plenty of Poles there looking for Native English speakers though, you won't even have to send any messages out - You'll get plenty in your inbox just from being logged on.

Hi there, I speak English and am attempting to learn Polish. I use the Duolingo app and it's great but I'm finding it hard to work out exactly why different words are used at different times. For example in English we say there, their, they're etc.. depending on what we are talking about.

If someone with a good understanding of the Polish language could explain some of this I would be more than willing to help with English. I use Skype if that's any use - hutchisaurus
