Lovely Souvenirs Thread

It is summer, people should enjoy their time whether they are working or resting, so to take everybody's minds off the war and international politics, I decided to start this lovely souvenirs thread.

We all have souvenirs that remind us of certain time in our life, certain places or a special friend. Some time ago I was rummaging around in the attic at my parent's house and I found two lovely scarves, given to me by my friend Yuri from Klin (Moskovskaya oblast'). We were both great fans of sport back then, spent a lot of time talking about football and exchanging souvenirs...

... aaahh, it is with so much nostalgia that I think today about those carefree days and cherish all the memories. Do you have any special summer holidays souvenirs that you would like to share? Please post them in this thread.

Do you really need to propagate that pathetic Russophilia everywhere in the forum??? It stinks like a full cesspool. :):):

@GefreiterKania

I cannot share a photo, because I am not home.

My favorite souvenir is a painting of a whale hunt given to me by some Inuit orphans. I was working once for a month at a volunteer camp in Greenland, attempting to fix the fresh water supply situation to their little island in a fjord. The seasonal ice flows kept destroying the mast that held up the pipeline during the daily high tide/low tide volatility.

I spent most of my free time drinking, and bothering local fishermen for tobacco to roll. A couple times when I ran out of alcohol, I chartered a boat to come pick me up and deliver me to Nuuk (capital) and back. Basically, was acting like a complete degenerate. The costs of my little alcohol runs, were probably 10X the cost of what the entire volunteer project was about.

But the orphans knew nothing about this. They thought of me as some hero. Daily I was consumed by guilt. Then they gave me their gift, and it broke my heart. In an instant, all of their pain landed on the heart, and I knew what an ass I was.

Now I look at this painting often, and wonder how their careers are shaping up. Who they married. What they do.

Post heroic Ukrainian souvenirs in a thread polluted by your stinking Russophilic Victory scarf??? No way. Similarly, you can show a scarf with Nazi Got mit Uns on it.

Wow! Respect! I always knew you were a sound fellow.

Basically, was acting like a complete degenerate.

We were all young once. :)

show a scarf with Nazi Got mit Uns on it

Something like that might rather be posted by some SS-Galizien loving neo-nazi, not me. Why would you even bring this up in connection to sports scarves from 20 years ago? Strange.

No, it isn`t strange. You boast of a scarf which directly alludes to the Russian invasion with its slogans! Ha!

I recalled Nazi Got mit Uns coz the scarf reads among others: Russia, Forward! It reminded me of a German battle cry- Vorwarts!! Ha!

We were all young once.

But some still remained infantile as they were. :):):)

Are you stupid? You know there is a party in Italy called Forza Italia?

You see what you want to see. And you are wrong as you usually are.

The upper scarf - Spartak Moscow - is from 2003 (or 2004) - almost 20 years before the invasion. It was issued on the occasion of Polish goalkeeper, Wojciech Kowalewski, joining Spartak. The lower one is Russian NT scarf and the slogan is similar to "Let's go England!", "Forza Italia!", "Hup hup Oranje!" and so on.

Anyways, Pawian, post a nice souvenir or f*ck off and stop ruining my thread.

Forza Italia

Yes, I know Forza but German Vorwarts was my first association. You can`t blame me.

You see what you want to see

I see what you want to show and react according to expectations. :):):)
