Life / Womans day in Poland? [242]

I get yelled at half the time time for holding the door

Doesn't matter if it's male or female who holds the door. In the US everyone holds door for everyone regardless of sex.
Polish women are spoiled.
In the US we don't celebrate Women's Days.
Valentines Day is for both male and females but in Poland they think it's for women.
Women retire earlier in Poland than men.
Women in Poland can have a year of maternity leave vs. up to 6 weeks in the US.

Life / Womans day in Poland? [242]

Yeah, women already do enough by giving birth and giving a guy this "gift of life" so they deserve 10 more women days.

and i have run out of beans...

That's OK. Just eat some bigos. It gives out a more feminine smell.
Will match your dress:)

Life / Fat People in Poland? [161]

Now with all them tourists in Poland you don't know which fat person is Polish and which one is not. To be accurate, you have to come up to each person and ask if they are indeed Polish. They might be German or Swedish or even American, but you won't know for sure untill you ask.

That's my advise

Life / Giving tips in Poland [235]

I take it as a joke obviously. But for the sake of clarity: we all here mean tip as German Trinkgeld, Polish napiwek ,n or bakshish. Not advice, porada...

Ohhhhh, really?

Giving tips in Poland

Some people don't like when you give them tips on how to organize yourself or tips how to clean your bathroom. I don't think it matters where you are. Really. A tip is a tip it depends on the individual because some people know everything and don't like tips.

Language / Gospodarzu, dostanę u was trochę jaj? [14]

you should really say: "Niechże no mi pan da pomacać swe jaja".
But I think the Gospodarz would probably like that better if said by a woman than a guy. But it all depends on the gospodarz, you never know...

Life / Fat People in Poland? [161]

Who cares what you look like! freedom of expression. In Poland people are very self-concious of what others say about them, but who cares? The world will end in two years anyway and everybody will die, so why not pig out and be happy!

Language / Which preposition for 'at'? [58]

Or you can say:

my god that certainly fits my experience so far. the light is getting a bit brighter though.

Mój Boże, to rzeczywiście pasuje to moich dotychczasowych doświadczeń. Ale jednak to światło staje się trochę jaśniejsze.

Life / 3 reasons why you hate Poland. [1049]

I hate Poland because they steal mail.
My mom sent pictures of my children to my aunt 4 weeks ago and she never got them. There was no money in the envelope, just a letter and pictures. But stupid Poles see a letter from America and think there is money in it and steal it.

I work for the US Goverment Postal system and if someone got caught stealing mail - their life would be over, but in poland they keep getting away with this.
