History / Music and movies from the PRL times in Poland [5]

What I remember the most is the Alternatywy 4 TV show - very famous and great series (about reality in Poland's PRL)
Beside that my favourite movies were those directed by Stanislaw Bareja - great comedies with fabulous actors.

Life / Examples of popular Polish music? [902]

loud electric guitars ruled

So maybe you would like to check the Flapjack band - first I was surprised that it is Polish, then I couldn't stop to listen their album "Ruthless Kick" when it was released.

Law / How do I verify a Polish company's existence? [240]

The 00-001 is a Warsaw postcode - so it may be valid:
pocztowekody.pl/index/index/zipcode/00-001
Oh, this is the website of this company, and judging from no Polish version, or how they wrote the Jagiellonska Street, they are rather not Polish. alstroz.eu/contact.html

It's hard to determine their genuity basing on that (looks a bit weird imo)

Genealogy / What does my Polish name mean? [400]

There's also a coat of arms Orla, which includes this surname.

I don't know if there's a particular region of Poland where this name is more popular. It seems it's very rare though..

@Saim Jan - yes, after you register your stay in Poland:

foreigners with a valid residence permit in a Schengen State and carrying valid documents can travel within the territory and do not need any special permission to do so.

I cannot read the surname

If I should be guessing, that would be Cichowicz.

surname possibly being Rutkowskich

Jurkowskich

z Jurkowskich / z Rutkowskich means from Jurkowski/Rutkowski family
2) maybe Cichowicz Marzenna / surname in the 2nd column Jankowski
6) not Miłosz, I see Wacław more
10) like Cichowicz (?) Józef, Zygmunt

Life / Are there any Muslim areas in Poland? [173]

one instance of suicide bombing in Poland?

I could ask how many killings here and there under the influence of alcohol. But it's not the point. We just cannot put the equal sign between Muslim and crime.

Life / Are there any Muslim areas in Poland? [173]

@dolnoslask
You know Indonesia only from TV news. I can tell from my own experience. And I lived also in the strict Muslim area - Aceh. Never met more friendly people.

Of course bandits are everywhere, Poland included.

@Rich Mazur
Don't worry. The Indonesian people won't come here in masses. They live in their own paradice place, and Poland isn't any dream country for them.

Law / Start a business in Poland - Tourism office, Arabian restaurant or other services [3]

Poland's economy is quite good and still growing. Year after year people from Poland are travelling more distant places during vacations. But Poles love warm sea. Jordan has very limited access to the Red Sea and it may be a problem. The same with visa.

An Arabian restaurant? Why not - a large city seems to be good location although the competition will be bigger.

International service company - try to find some Jordanian business in Poland, check how they are doing.

Law / Polish free Euro account without SEPA transfer fees [6]

As far I can see there's only one Bank in Poland which offers free SEPA tranfers - it's the NEST Bank.
Their webpage is only in Polish, so you need some help if you don't know the language.
Registration page:

I see different names on this document. Mr Szymanski - groom, and Maryanna Izbicka (?), family name Maciszewska - bride.
There are also different names too (another couple?), but no Danilowicz or Krusinska, as far as I can see.

Sent via 'Global Expres' and it means it will reach destination after 22 business days since it was sent to Australia.
