Food / What do non-Poles think about eating the following Polish foods? [1303]

I have had mushrooms from all over the world, and it must be the great Polish soil, but Polish Wild mushrooms are the best. They are so so much better. I can tell. I even, as a child, with my dad, and uncles, picked mushrooms here in the USA, and they were good, but the Polish ones are still better.

What is wrong with great Polish soup, made from wild, dried, Polish mushrooms. The Polish mushrooms are the world's best, and are hard to come by here in the USA. Make sure to bring some for me, when you visit Poland.

Life / Do you think that Polish people are rude? [951]

Polish people are far less rude, than most of the rest of the world. I find this to be true, in each of my visit to Poland. Come to Chicago, that's rude people.

Genealogy / Looking for any and all information on Dabrowski/Dombrowski from Poland [87]

My last name is Dabrowski, and my grandparents changed the spelling to Dombrowski, after coming here, around just after 1900, all the children, but my dad changed there spelling.

I am looking for any and all Dabrowski's or Dombrowski's who may be relatives, from Poland or here in the USA. I have been looking for any and all information, for some time, but only have a small bit, and want to know more on my grandparents, who came from near Warsaw, like I said, some time, just after 1900.

They have passed away, in 1954, so I can't turn to them for any help on this, and all there children are gone, also.

If you can help, thank you, if you have any new ideas, please pass them along.

When needing a taxi in Warsaw, call taxi 919, and ask that Andrzej Tomborek, be your driver, taksowka osobowa nr 260 Nubia, he also speaks English, and will give you the greatest care, and his taxi does not smell. Tell him, that, Michael from Valparaiso, Indiana, USA, gave you his name. You will be very happy with his service. He is a great guy, who cares.

USA, Canada / Opening a small shop, and selling many Polish items in USA. Do you think this would work? [32]

The dried Polish mushrooms have a taste all it's on. If you have never tried them, you don't know. No others are as good.

Thank you all for you ideas, and what more would go over here in the midwest, USA? The merchants in Chicago, know many of these items are hard to come by, so the charge a very high price, and this is not fair. I just want to help people buy the best at a fair price.

What other food items, ship well? What other items, other than food items, would you buy, from Poland, at a fair price?

I am open to any and all ideas, please post and let me know.

USA, Canada / Opening a small shop, and selling many Polish items in USA. Do you think this would work? [32]

The other day, my cousin, who lives in Warsaw, Poland, sent me some Polish dried mushrooms. We can get them here in Chicago, Il. around a hour drive, fifty some miles, and when we find them they want a arm and a leg for them, and I know the cost in Poland is much lower.

Several of my friends, Polish-Amerincan's and others, have asked if I can get some for them.

I am thinking of buying from a friend in Poland, and selling them for less than the store's in Chicago charge. Do you think this could work?

What are some other items, don't have to be just food items, but could be, do you think the people living here in my area, would like, if they could buy at a good price?

I may, even, if this goes over good, open a small shop, and sell many Polish items. Do you think this would work?

Those of you living here in the USA, what items would you buy if you were able, at a fair price?

I would like any and all feed back on this, but no nuts, that just want to post, please.

This is and will be, a large city. Other parts of Poland, still have the Polish style. This is what make Poland the great place she is. There are needs for large tall buildings.

LONG LIVE POLAND, AND HER GREAT PEOPLE.

Those who have never been to Poland, this is just a small bit of the wonderful things in Poland, and if you ever have a chance to go there, make sure you plan on spending no less that four weeks, if you just want to see some of the great things.

On my visits, I rent a place in Warsaw, for no less than a month, and go from there, all over.

POLAND RULES!!!!!!

Travel / Why do you visit Poland? [222]

Poland is full of many great things to see and do, but what I love most of Poland, are her great people. They will be there to help, when you need it, and care for one another. Not like many here in the USA.

POLAND RULES.

News / 9 year old Polish girl and 10 year old brother killed by World War II bomb [46]

Grubas,

I like the way you think, and I am 100% behind you. They must pay some way or another. Life is not fair, I know, neihter is killing without good reason, as they did, both the Germans and Russians.

They killed many of my family, and friends, and many others were forced to leave, to be safe, as was the case with my Grandparents.
