Law / Weapons laws in Poland. Carrying a concealed handgun? [918]

No the Brit bobbie does not carry a side arm, but now you will see the thousands that have had to be trained and issuead with urban assault rifles.

They will have to be trained, but it will take years. A side arm is of no use to a policeman, trunchen, pepper spray and taser is more than sufiicent.

The assualt rifles are in case of terrorism, personally I prefer they bring in the army and SAS.

There used to be army bases encircling Central London and there is still a few left, helicopter on the roof and onsite in a few minutes, armed to the teeth all the way to Carl Gustav's.

The decrease in the number of crimes involving firearms

Over the past 10 years strongly decreased the number of crimes committed using different types of weapons . These are very large drops, usually several times, eg. In the case of firearms decline of 1 170 offenses in 2002 to 490 in 2012, a gas of 254 to 70, dangerous tools from 6 730

There are ten times as many people in the U.S.A. as there is in Poland so many more variables to make up stats.

More like 350 per year in the USA. There has been one in 1996 and one in 2010 in the UK . Per capita thats 500 times more mass shootings in the US than the UK. With Poland its even higher.

News / Berlin terrorist attack -- Poland's ethnic homogeneity a true blessing [436]

Poland's ethnic homogeneity will be irreversibly disrupted if the EU imposed a lingua franca like English across the bloc for conducting business and enforced it with penalties

Poland would be irreversibly disrupted if a 15km comet landed on top of it, a far more likely event than imposing a language used by less than 1% of the EU population.

Law / Weapons laws in Poland. Carrying a concealed handgun? [918]

Remember back in 1997 when England outlawed handguns and the murder rate shot up 45% for the next eight years.

Are you nuts? handguns had to be kept at home in a hidden gunsafe. They were never used for self defence, purely for sport. Criminals do NOT commit crime with guns. The murder rate is driven by the usual domestic issues and teenage gangs stabbing each other over nothing.

Its impossible to make the claim that a gun is required for self defense in the UK, there is no threat that would justify it. If anyone in the UK truely beleives that their life is in danger from armed criminals they would be sectioned under the Mental Health Act.

The EU has nothing to do with it.

Not true, the EU has a mutual defense pact, military and finacial assistance.

UK, Ireland / Job interview - recruitment process in the UK [26]

As an employee I cannot understand why someone would do it, you are also beholden to anyone who may shop you for the reward. As an employer the situation is even worst, as you would be liable to the back taxes, penalties and pay up to minimum wage.

The there is the danger of a jail sentence if any of the electrical work causes a problem.

Classifieds / Polish nurses and medical staff wanted for work in the UK [45]

Poland doesn't prioritise spending money on healthcare. Even as a percent of GDP, Poland is one of the lowest spenders in Europe.

Not surprising that after three to five years studying, Nurses are unhappy to be expected to survive on 2200 per month

News / What will drive Poland after 2020 - when Eu funding dries up? [96]

Exactly the same as all EU countries obligations towards Poland incase of a massive migration crisis in Ukraine, or an invasion of Poland the EU is required to defend and provide financial support.

Do US states in the south consider it slavery to go to war after the attack on New York?

News / Polish Stalinist criminal hiding abroad supports KOD [101]

Poland's ruling party Law and Justice (PiS) has been fending off accusations of giving a prominent role in party leadership to a communist-era prosecutor active in repressing Solidarity freedom movement.

his name appears on an indictment against a Solidarity activist, Antoni Pikula, who had been arrested for distributing the then illegal Information Bulletin on behalf of Solidarity.

, I actually find it offensive that you consider democratic voters in favour of Brexit to be less educated -

Brexit voters did so because they cannot understand the cost and complexity invoved, hence by definition they are less intelligent.

******* thick in my assesment.

Can I ask why you didn't learn Polish, was there no Polish school availabe where you were, did your Polish parent try and teach you our language?

Of course not. How many Polish schools were there in the UK? I only know of Divine Mercy College, which closed in 1986. No chance of any Polish language tuition in Yorkshire.

My father thought learning Polish was a waste of time, so he never taught us a word.

That's even richer from someone who is not Polish and can't speak the language.

I'm half Polish, Like you.

Don't try and claim you are Polish, because you have a huge English streak down the middle of your mindset.

shiptar

A dirty, smelly, tooth missing, ugly, unemployed Albanian who is a virus of a human being which lives in other peoples countries in europe and feeds off of them like a parasite. Very good at low wage jobs like stone masonry, and cleaning up the feces of superior races.
