All banks are insured by the insurance upto 100k euro. So I opened up accounts in Citibank handloway, millennium bank, Allior bank, m bank. Just make sure u don't transfer over 100k euros in each bank account and you will be safe

UK, Ireland / Moving to Boston, UK soon and need some advice about renting/finding a cheap flat for us [13]

you didnt mention for how long?Usually the flats/apartments require 1 and 1/2 month security and 1 month rent in advance with 1 year lease.And beware 1 year means one year as landlords tend to go to court and get a judgement against your credit for the whole years rent.And also you didnt clarify if the flat has to be furnished or not?For quick answer some hotels like Ramada inn,mariott,best western etc also rent short term studios or flats which are relevantly cheaper and furnished with appliances and pots and pans,maybe you should look into that if its a short term rental.Also if you have a car you can be better off renting in suburbs in hotels.

I tried to search current benzine prices in Poland but to no avail,Have they also gone down almost 40% as in states?Last time i filled cpl months back was around 5.35 pln a litre.

As for the gas prices I also heard that US is playing games to hurt Putin & ISIL,on the other hand also is it true that OPEC countries are increasing production to hurt US taking out its own gas,as it costs then 80$ a barrel to cover costs and the current price is 63$ a barrel so the US is also loosing.I wonder what are the facts meanwhile the consumer is not enjoying much as the airline and other prices havent gone down at all.

Milk bars are usuallt closed in Warsaw as far as I remember but some restaurants are open especially in hotels and ofcourse in malls and last hope can be a big mac from mickey dees(holy cow).

its suppose to be a cheap place to eat but is actually not.If you buy the whole set like they serve in a restaurant it almost comes out to 16 to 20 $ a meal except soup is cheap.There has been tales that during commi times they tied spoons to the tables,I always wonder how did they wash them when the next customer came?I love the food there though true polish ones,also the canteens in govt offices serve real tasty polish food and cheaper.

BTW im a yank also something wrong????????

I have been coming to Poland for 14/15 years now and never encountered any problems.I am sure if you show obvious reasons someone will get you then,just be noemal and polite and you will be ok.

Yesterday I paid 2.01$ a gallon,paid 49bucks to fill tank,once paid almost 120$ for the same tankfull of gas,amazing!

its 1.99 a gal in costco today:)))

lol how long you think?I will be in poland now in january hope it stays same or goes up:) thx for the advice though:)

i would personally change your money today at 3.48, don't think its likely to go much higher and i would be surprised if it stays at this rate for very long.
