Interesting that many of the supposed best posters on here seem to no longer post.
I wonder why?
We have fairly recently lost Rozumiemnic, Chemikiem and Crow too.
But I can't say that I miss Crow.....the first two just left.
Crow may have become Ill or even died.

You are right Atch.I failed to distinguish between cellars and basements.
Basements usually have separate access and they are much more common than cellars in the UK.

Well, each to their own, but I would feel claustrophobic in a flat without my own garden and being above the ground floor surrounded by other people.
The UK's older houses and some of the nicer new ones do have cellars.
But yes, in the main, the UK don't do cellars.

Most people live in flats instead of houses.
This needs to change.

I am thinking that you must have some knowledge of Poland by making that post.
In Poland, I lean more to the nosey side, but if you befriend the locals that can change.
