Life / 60th birthday in Poland [38]

Unlike all other birthdays, I decided to go around 60 without any stress

Why should 60 be stressful?
I stopped celebrating my birthdays after my 30ieth.

All the rest seemed pointless to me.

I can't see an EU army ever happening,too complicated,typical EU idea,no thought put into it at all.

Bizarre that a thread about the growing Polish Army has been derailed to be about the EU.

My thoughts exactly,there seem to be some posters on here that are obsessed with The EU and very frightened of something rocking their "EU Boat", like Brexit or a strong Polish military.

They need to get used to that boat rocking....the Eurozone is officially in recession,Brexit Britain is not......

Electricity and water is a complete no no.......use a rechargeable electric toothbrush!

Paying everything by direct debit

Use a Standing order instead, or pay when you get the bill,what is the matter with you?

having to set up a receipient before transferring money.

A simple and sensible safety precaution.

Poland is protected through NATO, but that buildup means they are preparing for more

I think you are completely wrong.
It means that Poland don't trust NATO.
They trusted the west,pre NATO, in 1939 and no help came......
They won't make the same mistake again.

It is,without question,Rich is just being his argumentative self.

Some also say Vodka is healthier

This is the actress that is playing the part of Krystina Skarbeks.

She is Franco Polish but although she is only 30 years old, her dad is Polish.
She is bilingual in French and Polish.
So she is much more Polish than most Polams.

This movie is due out next year.
It is a great example of why Anglo Poles are much more connected to Poland than Polams.
Most Brits of Polish descent have one or two Polish parents....Polams talk about grandparents......sorry,not Polish enough!
This should be a good film, made by some Anglo Poles that also made the film.about 303 Squadron.....who shot down 126 German planes in 42 days during the Battle of Britain.

How many Polish Americans have made films about Poles or Poland?
