@Ultima; FIRST time ever, I have come across a JKM's follower ;). What do you see in him?

1. Janusz Korwin-Mikke promotes free market in Poland since communism times.

2. He has a lot of energy: no other politician in Poland has at least 10% of his activity (meeting with people, speeches, activity on the internet). He has 654 000 fans on fb (Cameron: 688 000, Nigel Farage: 272 000, Hollande: 567 000, Merkel: 1200 000). SO he is among the most popular politicians in the world.

3. He is against the power of bureaucrats.

4. His mottos are:
- volenti non fit iniuria
- lex retro non agit
- minimal state (state as "night guardian")

5. He is against the special rules for women or LBGT people.

6. He wants adult people to take the responsibility for their own lifes.

7. He supports separation of church, believs and the state (although he claims to be christian catholic).

8. He managed to create a large group of young people, who support the free market. In the future they will become powerful factor of changes towards the free market not only in Poland, but in the whole world.

9. He claims, that if he would be in charge of Poland and could establish free market economy, Poland would be able to send a man on Mars.

10. He also claims, that within 5-10 years Polish economy would outperform the German economy, if we could benefit from free market rules.

11. Despite his age (73) he still drives a motorcycle, and last year he jumped from the airplane with the parachute.

12. He published enormous number of articles, books, videos, speeches etc. He promoted a lot of free market literature in Poland.

13. He met with Milton Friedmann and invited him to Poland after communism ended.

14. He met several times British PM Margaret Thatcher. He was on her funeral tigether with some young free market activists to pay the tribute to what she has done in her life.

And despite his age (73), he has recently become father again. He has six cildren with his wife and two others with another woman who is 44 years younger than him.

Would Prime Minister Thatcher have been amused with his maritial infidelity?

@InPolska: to be honest, I am not a "follower" of JKM. I was a supporter of a free market and the opponent of the "keynesian state" when I was 7, thanks to my unckle and thanks to my observation how the socialism in Poland works ...

Later, when I discovered JKM, I could only say: "well, this man has exactly the same views, as mine ...".

Thanks, Ultima, to confirm that he's the opposite of what I believe in but fortunately he'll never make it ;). The guy is a shame for Poland and for EU. Last September or October, I saw him in Warsaw. I was with a friend, who first saw him and we stopped and watched him as he was on the other side of the street. He went to a bankomat and then crossed the street towards us because his car was parked not far from us. I don't know now but he drove a red car that day. There were 2 red cars in front of each other and he tried to enter one car. He realized then it was wrong ;) car and then tried the second car which was his, he jumped in and drove away as though he was crazy or drunk. I meant to take pictures but he would have seen me so I did not.

PS: isn't he at European Parliament with French FN, a fascist party funded by waffen SS guys and officially financed by Putin? Nice guys indeed!

@Ultima, isn't he against education, health services organized by the State? And of course, women should not vote (what he said), stay in the kitchen and go to Church ;).

@InPost:

1. He is among people almost every hour of his life. It is impossible, that he would be drunk, because immediately somebody would know it. Maybe you saw somebody else.

2. His party has 4 MEPs. One is together with Nigel Farage. Maybe JKM is together with FN, but if you understand the rules of EP, if the MEP is not within any group, he will not get enough time to speak etc. This is the reason for such cooperation.

3. JKM is not against voting of women. He is generaly against democracy and for monarchy. He says, that 90% people are stupid or greedy, so in democracy they will vote against a common good. If they would not vote, the country would perform better.

But even his supporters know, that this point is impossible to be introduced in reality. So we can say, that this is his own, private point of view.

4. WOMEN. This is broader topic. It isn't enough space here to discuss this. But mainly he thinks, that men and women are DIFFERENT, and they are better off, if they play the role of their sexes. But he doesn't want to FORCE anybody to follow this idea. If a woman wants to work, wants to make a career, he nas nothing agaisnt it !

The only thing is that he doesn't like, when the state supports women in order to make them "similar" to men. For example he is against parity law.

5. Yes, he is for private healthcare and education. He says, that in the free market people will earn more money and they would be able to afford the healthcare.

He says: if now people are able to finance the medicine doctors and the medicine bureaucrats, why they wouldn't be able to finance only medicine doctors ?

The same with education, ane I think, that more and more people are realising, that there is no other way, than the privatization of these sectors.

@Ultima: that day he was alone, was not walking straight, and looked like a nut. For a around 30 seconds, he was maybe one meter away from us so we saw him clearly.

With him, those not belonging to the rich just die. Sorry, not my kind of a society ;). Fortunately he is around 1% so no need to worry about him.

@InPolska: you are wrong. He has the biggest support of the people on street. No other politician in Poland can gather so many people on the ad hoc meeting. His support is much bigger, that it show the results of the elections. This is due to the voting system (proportional) and people are afraid of "loosing votes", so they vote mainly for PiS. The real support for him is about 15-20% and is growing rapidly. JKM wins literally every political survey in Polish schools or universities. But he has a core group of supporters, which is between 500-800 thousand voters. I am among them since 1989 ...

@Ultima: he really deserves 1% and so much the better. Who is behind him? Xenophobic, racist, antisemitic, homophobic nuts including those destroying half of Warsaw every year on November 11.

InPolska: you don't understand what is going on. The people, who are marching on 11.11 are not destroyers. They are POLES. The one, who destroy Warsaw, are instigators from police (there are evidences recorded by people) and once there was also a group of leftists from Germany. Can you imagine ? Germans are attacking Poles, who march on their Independence Day, 75 years after Germany invided Poland in 1939 !

Why are you calling patriotic people "xenophobic" ? "racists" ? etc ?

I tell you what: the more Poles are attacked by people, like you, the more we will organise ourselfes and the more we will engage in enforcing Poland and our nation. Why Jews have the right to enforce their country, and the same for Poles should be forbidden ?

Never forget: the constitution defines Poland's economy as a social market economy. That is not a cut-throat, run-away capitalist economy which serves only the financial elite and their wannabe flunkies.

Not me that claimed that he was a man of the free market ;)

Wasn't the "social market economy" rather the work of the SLD, by the way? You'll know better than me, but weren't the SLD still quite social democratic in the 1993-1997 period?

He met young supporters of the free market.

Hahahaha. Meeting one group of people means nothing - as I showed you, Duda signed a concordat of sorts with Solidarność requiring him to try and implement policies that directly contradict the free market. Anyway, if he believed in the free market, why would he promise huge amounts of welfare?

If you say, that Duda cooperates with trade unions, so I tell you, that PO cooperates with them even more.

Hahahahahaha. Now you're really making me laugh :D PO have very little to do with the trade unions - they're forced into cooperating with them because of the constant threats of strikes, but in general, PO are not allied at all with trade unions. Do stop posting such rubbish :D

The same with education, ane I think, that more and more people are realising, that there is no other way, than the privatization of these sectors.

Bwahahahaa. Come back when you've actually reached voting age ;)

If this was true, why are all the best universities in Poland public universities? The private ones have had 25 years to try and catch up, yet only really Kozminski (or however it's spelt...) is anywhere near the standard needed.

He has the biggest support of the people on street. No other politician in Poland can gather so many people on the ad hoc meeting.

This is just too much :D

Korwin-Mikke has nowhere near that level of support. Nowa Prawica (which was much more than just JKM at that point) won only 580,000 votes in the European elections last year. Those elections are always associated with a high protest vote (InPolska, didn't the FN win big in those elections too in France?) - and cannot be taken seriously. In a non-proportional election (the Presidential election) - JKM won a mere 486,000 votes.

The real support for Korwin-Mikke is around 2-3%.

I tell you what: the more Poles are attacked by people, like you, the more we will organise ourselfes and the more we will engage in enforcing Poland and our nation

Sorry, but your nation is already under the control of Germany. Deal with it.

They are POLES who destroy half of the city (I used to live in Centrum, not far from Marszałkowska and Konstitucji so I could see from my Windows), who beat up people every year on Nov. 11.
delphiandomine 88 | 18,163

They're mostly football hooligans belonging to firms that hate Warsaw (so pretty much everyone except possibly Wisla Krakow and Slask Wroclaw fans, although their agreement has been dissolved). Any excuse to smash up Warsaw is a good one, and I know of a guy who openly admits that their sole purpose in attending is to destroy Warsaw.

InPolska: have you heard the words of Polish Ministry Sienkiewicz, that he ordered to burn the guard booth at the Russian embassy ?

He did it to make a provocation to blame the people, that they are "dangerous" ...

Did you know that ?

(he was recorded secretly in the restaurant, so everybody in Poland could listen to his voice, when he admitted it)
OP InPolska 9 | 1,816

They like foot ball, booze and fascist movements. I could watch them from my windows every year while living in Centrum and I must say it was pretty scary, it looked like war. Of course, they always end up with the burning of the "Rainbow".

Bwhahahaa, you really are making it all up now :D He didn't say that. It was speculation from someone else. Slight difference, and a world of difference away from admitting to having ordered such a thing.

@UltimaThule. What's your opinion on the notorious incident when Korwin-Mikke stabbed himself in a toilet and claimed it was done by a mysterious "Chinese assassin"!
delphiandomine 88 | 18,163
9 Aug 2015 #18
He didn't stab himself, didn't you listen to JKM?

The fact that he had Nowa Prawica on the verge of becoming an established party in Poland which would attract public funding, then managed to destroy Nowa Prawica says it all about him.

After being suspended and sent to retirement by the younger colleagues in his own party, far rightist Korwin is intent on starting a new political enterprise. Amassing guy. Obsessive attention sicker who will never change. He regularly establishes parties and then destroys them by crazy attention sicking statements and behaviour. His last party accuses him of damaging their image the result of which was discouraged voters who chose other parties.

Do you remember those stickers that his deranged fanboys used to put everywhere around election time?

One had a picture of a gallows on and the other had a slogan that translated as "no scaredy-cats in the army".

You may well be right.

He's quite a good bridge player though. I've not partnered him since he plays club based systems (as is usual in PL) and like most people from English-speaking countries I play ACOL however he is (or used to be) not bad at all.

he is a total nutter!!!

Yes, we mentioned it already somewhere else, he made a living off playing bridge when he lost his state job in communist times.

Yeah, he is a total nutter!!!

Yeah, he is a rightist nutter like you! hahahaha buhahahaha
