I must admit, some of the Chinese dumplings come pretty damn close in taste. Especially, when I'm having bad cravings for a tasty meat pierogi.

Why do so many Polish girls dying their hair to BLACK?

I noticed the trend while visiting Poland. Some of the females with dyed black hair are very light complected. In addition, they also dye their eyebrows black. Too must of a contrast imo. Have to give them credit though, for sporting their own hair. I've seen other women, who have nasty-looking hair extensions. Kind of resembles horse hair. You can smell the stench a mile away, announcing their arrival...

In the United States, over 60% of college students move back in their folks, after they graduate from college. Possibly, a result of large unemployment rate. Along with huge debt owed, including student loans.

My mom cooked corned beef and cabbage for my daddy. He loved cabbage dishes, no matter what season of the year. I also see it served often at Kosher Delicatessens.

Ironically, I just made a reservation for a tour of the Modjeska House. The tours are scheduled 4 days of the month, including 2nd and 4th Saturday :)

Here in Poland we don't consider Polish-Americans Americans but Poles (Polonia).
Thus we Poles can be brothers only.

I appreciate Beta's open-mindedness. One small request please. I think I prefer being considered a sister, instead of a brother :D

First of all Warsaw. welll warsaw was not beautiful or attractive

I too have visited Warszawa recently. I thought the city was great. Very clean, along with plenty of beautiful architecture and full of interesting history. One thing that bothered me though, was the permitting of cigarette smoking in many public places. Cough, cough.

Travel / Why does everyone seem to hate LOT Polish Airlines? [382]

The LOT airplane in Warszawa arrived TWO hours late. Therefore, I arrived two hours late at JFK Airport. In turn, I missed my flight to LAX. Almost had to spend the night in the Big Apple NYC. Fortunately, a few seats stand-by seats were available on a later flight to LAX that evening.

Perfect timing... I'll be at my cousin's wedding on August 14th. I'll be mingling with 200+ Polish relatives on that day. Hopefully, I can find a few Poles to hug there :)

I remember my daddy would slice ring bologna and deep-fry it. Didn't see him adding any onions though. The meat tasted similar to fried hot dogs.

I don't know how to phrase it in Polish. Here's some advice my daddy would give me. The English translation is basically, "Curiosity killed the cat."

I learned to follow his advice throughout the years. There are generally some things in life, I don't really don't want to know about.
