Can someone explain the million mile battery thing to me ? How does it add value to consumers.

In the US people do more miles but in Europe and I guess in Japan and lots of Asia they don't

I am not sure I have done a million miles in my whole life - I do about 40000 km a year now but when I was in my 20s for many years I had no car and in my 30s I drove much less.

Even a really heavy user is going to take 12-15 years to use a million miles by which time we might all be using jetpacs. Add to that the possible changes with people working from home a few days a week.

The self driving thing is decades away.

There are plenty of Polish dishes that don't have pork - with the sauerkraut you can make a bigos and maybe use turkey and deer sausage instead of the pork.

Pierogi - with cheese and potato, or with sauerkraut and wild mushrooms,

Polish soups are amazing - especially Zurek and chlodnik.

There are lots of great polish deserts to try.

Yes we have an All Saints tradition - we get soaked lighting candles at our family graves and then go to listen to some relatives complaining. I guess the Filipino traditions are more fun !

A beauticians that requires daily contact with customers about the most personal issues obviously requires Polish. There is no sugar coating for that

I suggest you spend a day driving around the main malls of Olsztyn and see what existing competition there is and how much they charge. Work out how many customers you need to cover your rent and other costs - then see how many that would be per week, per day etc and whether it is viable. Nobody here knows much about the beauty business so try and find out from Polish ladies how much they pay and how often they use that service

I'm talking more about organized retail and office space. Corner shops I have no idea but if you were to open one now you should be very careful about paying a high rent - there is huge overcapacity i and Zabka, Rabat and their imitators are not in a good position to withstand a downturn.

Prices are dropping very quickly in retail and office space too - plenty of good cheap rents going and lots of vacancy.

Warehouse space is still quite expensive though

It's very sweet for Polish tastes and a bit overpriced against some good local competition.

Even small towns have pretty good ice cream shops. Today I had some good ice cream with the kids in Zuromin, just from a wooden shack in the town rynek.

Yes most places have smietankowe flavor. There are also tall Swirling ice creams called swiderki which come in cream or chocolate flavor (or mixed)

Lots of reasons for them faltering but generally a combination of bad government, over indebtedness, big global crises and corruption. The same ingredients are all present in Poland. My personal view is that Poland will continue its growth, butthe govt and the population shouldn't just sit back and wait for it to happen

Well the oldest ice cream family in Poland - Grycan - say they started in the late 19th century. They have a chain of a few hundred shops now.

I saw a family photo from Wilno circa 1910 and they looked like they were eating ice cream in glass bowls at a big event but I guess it could have been anything In the bowl
