I haven't claimed any conspiracies.
I used to post links from the Department of Defense but whats the point - I can understand the difficulty in going to war following one belief which then turns out to be false. For example, the twin towers and Iraq - again - its a Department of Defense link where Wolfowitz says Iraq had nothing to do with it.


Saddam wasn't playing and was in talks with ME oil exporters to start trading in roubles using an Iranian based Oil bourse. Thereby devaluing the dollar as a monetery peg.

Couldn't say now as the trade is illegal, pearls come in all shapes and sizes, only a small amount are competely round. Scottish pearls are moe valuable due to their rarity.

They take 15 yrs to mature and can live for a century. Most have died out due to overfishing but in Europe it was mostly pollution and their dependance on migrating fish for regeneration ( apparently this was the cause in Silesia ).

Sometimes only 1 in 50 have pearls, once opened they die.

They might not be as impressive as a Golden Eagle but its good to see they are being protected.

Freshwater ones are harder than farmed saltwater ones. Its also said that they have more of a lustre.
Having said that,they come in all colours mostly white, brown and black.

Highly valued for their pearls, they are nearly extinct in mainland Europe but are still around, mostly in Ireland and Scotland

I used to go "fishing" for them before it became illegal to do so.

Looks very much like a Capercaille - wonder if its the same thing ?

If anyone is near a river in Silesia keep a look out for freshwater mussels, they are supposed to be extinct in Poland so if you see any its worth letting people know about them.
