News / What should Poland do with the problem of Belarus? [1800]

I can only think that a lot of Byelorussians had been just put off by Lukashenko's latest election fraud.

Even so, that is their interval problem. Why bring sanctions and diplomatic action into the fry? To do nothing is actually in Poland's best interests. As Lukashenko's regime keeps things in balance. Once they kick the table Belarus can go either way, there is no way they can control it or predict it.

Unless 'they' have things under control - which I doubt.

Poland should make Polexit,

yep!

"distance itself from Vatican,"
dude let me tell you something you are a stubborn tool. F off from the Vatican it is not issue at all, beside in Poland only commies, soviets and all kind of processive trash would agree with you and those are totally against Polexit and Serbs and all things you spam PF with. So wake up and smell the coffee will you!!!

move out from NATO

sure but not just yet ...

Beside there are other way to bring Belarus into the fold. Thing is in Poland there are wrong kind of peps in power.

What aspirations do they have?

Who exactly?
Those who can take over the country are rather pro-Russian. The thing is there is not some unfired strong forces that would take the country into other direction. As for keeping it in the middle Lukashenko was the best. Why try to topple him?

It is not in Poland's best interest.
Unless there is some cunning plan at hand I don't know about but somehow I doubt it.
Most likely there was some unrest - a large one in Belarus and bureaucrats just automatically jumped to execute some half-baked a long forgotten plan to support it.

The worst part is that politicians must have given it a green light.
Meaning clueless morons are in charge or a the very least reckless pen pushers.

Talking more about Poland here as for Germany it is not a big issue one way or the other.

History / Poland rightwingers` bonds with PRL communist regime [191]

I'm sorry,

I'm sure you are not. Judging by your last responses which are both silly and cheap you are shameless. Hey but at least you CARE ( as if).

Again, a logical mistake.

Again you don't know what logic is. As you continue in your post it is clear you are talking about a factual mistake not a logical one.

Unfortunately for you this is neither. It is a question as if someone reads your intention right.
What more confusing for you I don't need to take your claims seriously. In other words you just wasted your time to show off how smartassed you are to be busted once again. lol!

Where did you get this crazy concept from?

From you!

we constantly prove it is a lie.

No you don't. You use those use in a vain hope that you will dissuade PiS voters not to vote PiS anymore. Its a forlorn hope.

There is another reason for you to keep bringing it up constantly, you think you rile PiS supporters with that - but on PF there is no PiS supporters.

So it must be yet another reason you obsessing about that subject - hypocrisy.
Hypocrites love espousing and waffle about real or imaginary hypocrisy of others.

they say one thing and do another..

have you ever seen a political force at the helm that always does what it says and always says what it does? Maybe in the medieval monarchy but not in any modern democratic or not state.

All I'm saying that that bashing when not backed up by a personal conviction is just a mud slinging exercise - how that differs from what the PiS does? As far as i know pawian and you are not even politicians. Why do you emulate so well something you claim to find abhorrent in your opponent?

Bashing PiS is only bad if you support them

No, go after them on the point and issues you hold a different view than them.
IF you (as pawian does) think there is nothing wrong with ex-commies taking part in the public and political live why would you bash PiS if they do that. As far as I know they do pass any legislation that would prevent commies from taking a public office or to impair them in anyway.

So a charge a hypocrisy in that case is a stretch. Whilst the same charge applied to pawian is spot on.

Didn`t I say clearly in my first post?

I made myself very clear in mine. You are saying that PiS uses anti-commie rhetoric and then hire some commies or take them in. There is no disagreement between you and I.

I only question your integrity and your attitude to the issue i.e. cvommies.
It is clear you do not support their exclusion from the public life.
In fact you only against those few commies or those who can be somehow assisted with commies ONLY if they work WITH PiS not against them.

Basically your stance is very common for soviets in Poland - they (commies working for PiS) are traitors of the post-commie camp and thereafter a fair game.

Ah and they are a perfect excuse to bash PiS from that angle as well. Nothing more!

I'm writing all that for those who are being fooled by your effort at muddling the issue and they somehow sincerely believe that PiS is full chock of commies. It baffles me that someone would think that but there are lost of fools like that out there - it seems.

nominated by PiS.

So what? Are you saying that all people nominated by PiS are members of that party? As far as I know judges can't take a part in a politicks.

Your premise is somehow muddled. Either you support a ban for the all former commie party members (and all associated organizations) and their exclusion from politics and from publics offices or state offices or from teaching anywhere or not. I stress all of them without any exceptions.

So far your position was - do not touch them unless they seem to support PiS or had joined that party.
So, you can go FY with your hypocrisy and BS.

he 90s and things are never black and white for people

Sure because commies saying in charge and in a position of power. So, they just brainwashed people with their propaganda as the GW and Michnik collaborated with them full blast.

Law / How to acquire Polish citizenship through marriage as an American? More info in the post. [18]

nieprzerwanie - intermittently.

eh? You teach English? must be a lie /nieprzerwanie - continuously!

Simply no?

What else is there are to know? It is not a buffet you can pick and choose. Most countries have similar legislation, You should apply for citizenship then and there. Right now you need to do it all over again. Anyway check it up on a gov page rather then ask for an advice on a random, internet forum.

He definitely have upper hand.

Not in general in Belarus. In general he is not making that well. It is mostly due to the fact that the Russian state is inherently faulty.

Spiegel reports Lukashenko secured himself Putin's support already.

No surprises here. Sure he would. The other option (not sure if viable) is China for him.

Since Poland and the EU (not sure if USA are involved) showed him a middle finger he won't hesitate to show them his.
Now, that leader of the so called opposition or protesters in Belarus who fled to Lithuania asked Putin for help too.
Seems to me Putin has a lot of cards and an upper hand. Ha!

Would Russia really send troops if pushes come to shove?

I think that there is enough power in the Belarusian gov hands to deal with the protesters'. IF Russia supports them with Specnaz its over.

Still there are some unknow and unpredictable factors at play so we will see how that situation evolves.

Hell, seems like it goes the other way. If so ... Polish PM and all that useless punks.
See BB is not that are ineffective and that they make mistakes and err in their calculations.
The thing is they don't even know what they are doing!!! WTF!

History / Battle of Warsaw - One hundred years ago [7]

The centennial anniversary of the battle and the war is in my opinion marks the highlight of interest and remembrance as well as celebrations. I gather it all that interest will gradually wither down. It will downsize and only historians and few geeks would be interested in that historical fact. The public will be as much as possible indifferent to the whole issue.

There is nothing wrong with it. After all after 100 years there is not much that can be said and basically there is not people who were adult participants.

Whilst it was a glorious victory and a significant battle its results didn't alter geopolitical circumstances of Poland hence the fruits of that victory were very short lived.

That would be all my thought on the battle.
Although one could ask what lessons could be learn from it. I'm not in the mood to dabble into semi-philosophical issues today.

Ok, what is al those post off topic posts doing here? tsk

As situation develops Poland takes a part in some kind of political push to remove Lukashenko (and his people?) from power.
In my opinion a very risky move. Could be pushing him and Belarus straight into Russia's bosom.
Well, its done I'll judge them and particularly Morawiecki and PiS by the result.
If they are not successful If all they gain will be Russian firmly on the Polish border......

Poland is in visa waiver program

After many years Poland being a noticeable exception from the VWP. I would think If four billions dollars didn't cut any slack then eight did the trick.

Language / Game - guess Polish idioms/sayings in direct English translation [1756]

There seems to be a lot of Polish idioms about goats....

Goats were quite common in the Polish countryside but there were considered a sing of a poor household or poverty. They disappeared from Poland during commie years but imagine commies suspire that poverty stayed. Anyway they did really give a damn it was all about appearances. Anywho I don't remember any goats growing up, cows yes but not goats. Poor animals their milk is much better for children than cows milk, plus they are more cost-effective but ...

Here dangers of brainwashing in a plain sight.

Ciekawość zabija kota

Mind your own business as venturing into territory that has little to do with you can be dangerous and may backfire. Definitely not a prover for Poles. They are when young very inquisitive. lol! In general of course.

I prefer you only die once, but sink or swim would also do.

Great answer as expected.

Poland could start military excercises near Belarussian

???
Poland could help Lukashenko out! Let help him to stay in power and make EU (probably not possible|) to be as helpful. In that way he will have an option or more options than Russia.

News / Religious extremists advocate murdering gay Polish politician [42]

certain man went out to the balcony and performed gay dancing with obscene gestures.

Was is you pawian? Only a leftie, full of hate and scorn monkey would act in a such abhorrent way.

many rightist viewers/social media users

You don't know who are those people. That is only an assumption. Beside you should know the internet, what it is like. I suspect you know, you just use that opportunity like a proper scum to create a certain narration. I would add an absolutely false one.

The truth of the matter is that someone acted in this way or some media wrote that someone did JUST to provoke people and to precisely provoke reaction like THAT. Nothing to it!

I wonder if I would s''it on your doorways and then knock at your door and ask you for a toiled paper what your reaction would be ...hmm ..would you hand over a toiled paper and simile? Really?

What should happen to do dude? At least a year in prison and some hefty fine. I would opt for just a hefty fine but those kind of people are supported by some heavy money grubbers so he wouldn't be paying from his own pocket.
