Medias use the word a lot.

what are 'medias' - if you mean people in the media, well they don't, not in English anyway.

'medias'

The plural of medium is media. The proper way is to say "the media ARE always sensationalising things." But probably due to today's abysmally poor knowledge of Latin, more more you hear undereducated e-gadgetarians say "the media IS this or that", as if it were a singular.

Pol: I personally know "medium" pl. "media" but as most often it is written "medias", I may sometimes write it too. Well, I don't know re English media, but back at home, "ghetto" to imply ANY (whatsoever) group of people sticking to themselves and avoiding others is widely used (including by me).

Ghetto in the UK is normally used as a insult to the people on benefits or the poor to imply a crime filled area, another word used is slums.

Yes the majority of tenants on this estate are Polish, it used to be a council/local government area but due to the reputation people moved away which is why the rent is so cheap, a ghetto stereotype is my flat used to have about 8 men in 2 bedrooms, and another flat across the road is the same and its a common theme which I have noticed.

There is so many Polish here a hairdressers opened up last month handing out leaflets in Polish(and English) where you get a free can of lager with every haircut(so follows the stereotype that Polish drink) I have seen teenagers wearing tracksuits shouting as well as drinking alcohol in the streets in Polish, I have seen teenagers use dirt bikes and quad bikes, and many of the houses and gardens around here look like slums like windows broken and/or covered up, gardens that have not been tidied so the grass is knee high, lager cans on the street

There is a few British people like myself on the estate but gradually moving away as they feel like they are the outcasts as their neighbours are Polish plus they also complain about the noise and drinking. There is 11 Romanian family on the estate and a single Hungarian male I know of that are violent

There is so many Polish people here that advertismenets for empty apartments are in English and Polish, and even jobs are now advertised in English and Polish in fact I have seen jobs ONLY advertise in Polish.

They even just opened a Polish restuarant near me that I want to visit..

Merged: Are all Poles in UK drunks?

Why is it that nearly every pole I came across is a drunk? Polish neighbors who are polite but always drink and argue with each other, day and night.

@ryouga

I think what you are encountering there are simply " chavs ". Nothing I would refer to a nationality or heritage.

All you can do is, to report it to the Police if it seriously annoys you, or to just try to involve with them, maybe you find some new friends?

PS: Of course you don't HAVE TO learn the languages of people who migrate to your country, but it wouldn't hurt to learn Polish. I mean, there are many Poles in the UK, and it is an interesting language and an interesting country which I had some great holidays in.

A bit unfair - except that the Polish hate the Pakistanis. "Oh! Look at those dirty immigrants!" The blatant hypocrisy is completely lost on them, and don't waste your time pointing it out to them, because they think they are above Asians for some inescapable reason only explainable by racism. Pretty disgusting, and you really couldn't make it up.

@Doug....

I was outside a German owned supermarket in the UK and waiting outside was a black girl. Out of the exit from the supermarket came 3 Polish mothers with about 10 children between them. I went into the shop and heard a lot of shouting and screaming outside, and then the black girl ran into the shop crying and security went to her.

The 3 Polish mothers had racially abused her and told her she needed to go back to where she came from because she didn't belong here. I know this because I could hear it as she told the security guard.

The Police and her husband came to the shoo, her husband being a Fijian British soldier, just like her. I hope they catch them a prosecute them.

If anyone doesn't belong here its those 3 white trash benefit seekers with feral children.

I went into the shop and heard a lot of shouting and screaming outside,

So you don't know what has really happened you just know one side of the story. What is your other moniker on PF? Did you make it all up?

If anyone doesn't belong here its those 3 white trash benefit seekers with feral children.

Could you just write your point without making up all that BS story. Its makes you look like a clown.
If you would just stick to the point you were aching to make, it would make you look only as a vile looser.
By Making up that story you demoted yourself to a sad clown, sad because xenophobic.
Pry tell us how many racist killings you have in your enlighten county five a year - more?. Would it surprised you to know there is none in Poland? So, if your story bears any resemble to the truth there most be something in the water in your neck of the woods, just take care what you drink.

The Polish are eastern europeans. their national sport is thieving.
They are still in the backward take, take, take mentality.
No western european country wants nor needs them, as most of the jobs they do are unskilled , and a trained monkey could do it.
I am so glad the British voted to kick the Poles out. We think of them as Polish Parasites, destroying communities, schools, and putting burdens on health services.

The EU should never have let poor eastern european countries like Poland in. No-one wants to live in Poland.
The supermarkets have good locked away from the thieving Polish.
It is only the deluded Polish that thinks the country wants or needs them. Everyone cannot wait for them to go back to the backwater they came from.

I'd love if Poland kicked Brits out of Kraków. Noisy, unintelligent, rude drunkards no one wants there.

LowLives :

I can understand you are annoyed with polish people drinking too much.
They probably give a bad name of polish people. I have met these kind in Poland only but not many. Even polish i know did change the stree when they meet them.

I have never met this kind in UK. But maybe because i was living in some areas where there was only young polish professionals with good english and job. From my perspective i have very good opinion of polish people.

However i met more black people with very bad behavior. In some district they write on walls " dead to white ".
They even attack people of different color in this neghborhood. Paskistani do not live with them. So much for multicultural society.

English people are scared of black arabs and pakistani: that why they do not say anything about them.
They prefer to complain about polish people because they wont be accuse of racism !

So many pakistani raped young english girls for decades but the authority did nothing !

Man, you are a great sinner when speak like that about Poles here among Serbs. English are problem man. Very evil and malevolent people, full of dirty schemes and intrigues, malformed in their twisted ways to grab more and more, to control.

Crow, that was perhaps in the 19th century and not today. Britain had lost the empire and changed a lot. So it seems ...

Yes, as friend Xi of China said, Britain is insignificant today. And thank to God for that.

Who donate huge sums to charity and engage in voluntary work on a scale rarely seen in most other countries, perhaps with the exception of the USA, another society with a fully formed civil society. Crow is so full of bigotry and hatred that it has blinded him.

The UK is indeed less significant than it was when it had an empire, but to call it insignificant is just further proof of Crow's closed mind.

You would hardly convince me, man. Nothing against you personally, but your government sided with Islamic league, mujaheedines and Nazis against Serbs and by that against Slavs in general. Britain caused not only suffering but great disturbance among Slavs, great dis-balance. For that, penetration is inevitable. Virginity belt won`t help you here. BDW, I think it already happening and you even don`t know what happening to you.
