Why does everyone seem to hate LOT Polish Airlines?

You're slowly beginning to understand, but not quite. I expect you're used to that. Show me where I said:

you said ... airlines dont do that they hire everybody

QED

now you're saying show me a ugly cabin crew member

they just hire old sea hags

ROTFL

that wrong statement you've made

What wrong statement is that? That discrimination on the basis of age or gender is illegal in Europe? That's what I said. Not that anyone expects you to understand the obvious!!

I said that I was talking about Polish (LOT) flight attendants NOT all in general.

Yes you said:

they should hire young sexy girls

Pwned, as usual.

Yes you said:

Look up at my discussion we were talking about Polish stewardesses (LOT) I said they (LOT)hires old sea hags NOT all airlines, i said they should follow other airlines examples and do as they do hire young sexy girls.

You do realise that they're there for safety, not to look at?

Nonsense. Cabin crew aren't models or Playboy Bunnies whose role is connected to their looks.

You're contradicting yourself.

Neither in fact, but nobody expects you to follow a simple line of reasoning.

Odd:

I said airlines hire young attractive girls you said airlines don't hire based on looks because it's discrimination "Cabin crew aren't models or Playboy Bunnies whose role is connected to their looks"

You actually said:

But don't let reality cloud your stupidity.

You have a learning disability, I said LOT hires old seas hags and should hire young sexy girls like other airlines do they should follow others example.

HAHAHA right, well how convenient that the height, weight and general appearance "safety" requirements fit comfortably into what is the commonly accepted idea of beauty. That's why they're having these "ugly" girls pose and represent their airlines.

And I pointed out, correctly, that discrimination on the grounds of gender and age is illegal in the EU. Which Poland is part of. But you just want to argue. Badly.

And keep coming back for more!!

Right and that's just a coincidence that Virgin Atlantic (British) Lufthansa (German) KLM(Dutch) Aer Lingus(Irish) Iberia (Spanish) oddly all EU states, have the most attractive flight attendants and few "sea hags" like LOT does.

Very likely, since anti-discrimination laws are taken very seriously in all those countries.

I work with a woman who used to be a LOT stewardess on their domestic flights, back in the days when domestic flights were pretty much only for senior party members and other collaborators: she was fired on her 30th birthday, for being too old. Interesting to see who is calling for a return to those days.

You're highlighting you got *******, thank you. Scared lil' boy :))))))))

Which part of "to all, please keep it civil" do you fail to understand?

It's his version of being civil.

But what can one expect from a man who advocates firing women for getting old?

Passengers don't like what they see.... " With the upcoming Bravo television show starting on March 24th called the "Fly Girls", a reality show about some "hot" flight attendants for Virgin America, I thought what better timing than to discuss the topic of why flight attendants in the United States are so old, and as my friend in the Air Force so eloquently calls them, "Fugly?"

Attractiveness is in the "eye of the beholder", but when you fly on foreign carriers like Singapore Airlines, JAL, ANA, Emirates, Virgin, Sky E. and some other foreign carriers....... You can really "see" the difference immediately." airlinenightmare.com/blog/?p=367

I am glad there are positive reactions about LOT because I have to fly this thursday with this airline. Already have flown with many different airlines so I am curious how this airline is because also I have not heard that many positive things about it.

The Pilots are spot on,and the baggage alowence peeps in Warsaw atleast are absolute darlings :)

had a near miss with a plane on the wrong headings coming into Manc a few years back, our Pilot jinked the plane round like it was a Spitfire, I think only a couple of us passengers knew how close we'd been to being on that nights news.......I confirmed things later with a relative in ATC...

I will tell you why I will try to never fly again with LOT. I had 3 small kids with me, I requested bassinet for the baby- LOT never provided one. My baby cried for 3 hours constantly during the beginning of the flight until one of the assistant arrange to find double seat for the baby to sleep. Then we got to Warsaw. We had to stay in a hotel for one night for some reason??? I was waiting for 3 hours to get the hotel information and finally got to the desk to ask what is taking so long. You know I have 3 small exhausted kids with me. The officer working there instead of explaining stared to shout at me. He said:" GET OUT OF HERE. (3) GO AWAY, YOU ARE CRAZY LADY......" You can imagine how shocked I was? I told him that I will complain. When I did complain to the supervisor in writing, I had never received any explanation or apology. Unbelievable. NEVER AGAIN WILL I SPEND MY MONEY WITH THIS ARROGANT AIRLINES AND I WILL TELL EVERYBODY NOT TO USE THEM>

Couldn't you stick a dummy in its mouth so as not to disturb other passengers? Or give it a breast? That's what they're for!

He said:" GET OUT OF HERE. (3) GO AWAY, YOU ARE CRAZY LADY

The tone of your post suggests he may have been right. LOT aren't perfect, but they're OK.

I actually made quite the opposite experience with LOT. I flew twice alone with small kids. Everyone was bending over backwards to make sure we are fine. One of the flight attendants even came to me and offered that if I want to go to the toilet I should call her and she will watch the kids in the meantime. Everyone was also very helpful at the airport. I had the terminal employees come to me and ask if I need help with the luggage and the kids.

I think the in-flight entertainment sucks big time at LOT. Otherwise they are just fine.

Very interesting... was it from one of the crew members or a passenger?

LOT cancelled my flight from Toronto to Warsaw on April 3rd. Got a phone call about it just as i was leaving for the airport. Next flight was on the 5th Apr. Took that one , but my baggage didn't make it to Warsaw till the 7th Apr. For a short term visit, that's a big screw-up. To make things worse, the car I rented in Warsaw at the airport had a problem. That's not LOT's fault, but altogether it was a lot of stress when I least wanted it. Otherwise LOT was fine, but not brilliant. They don't help their reputation by cancelling flights suddenly. I will look at another air line next time.

We've flown LOT many times over the last 20 years. They are the only carrier to offer non-stop from the US to Poland. Prices are cheaper than others. We've flown with small children as a family, mother with child alone, and teenager flying solo. Crew, food, and service has always been good. Only time we had a luggage problem was returning through JFK.

Did you get compensation for that? For a flight of that distance, you're entitled to 500 Euro (approximately $700) as compensation and they also have to pay for the accommodation and food which you needed to buy (although they can and will ask for receipts to prove those expenses). And that is $700 per passenger.

To give LOT credit, they are far far better at paying out than other airlines. My recent claim was processed slowly but very smoothly, a huge difference to British Airways, who often claim that cancellations were due to factors outside their control and so refuse to pay right up until they get sent notification of when the court date is!

If you need help with making the claim, I'd be happy to give you a template letter and tell you where to send it.

No they are not. I can get a flight from Chicago to Poland for at least $300 cheaper on other airlines. Lot is expensive.
