Additional capacity for Nordstream II - Germany plans to buy hydrogen from Russia and use NS II for transport

No it isn't.

Yes, it is. In less than 6 hours on a train, I chose to leave "communism" and say hello to "capitalism".

....or to keep from being eaten by a much bigger fish...as in "strength in numbers"!

@Bratwurst Boy
Said shark would most likely just swim by the school of fish until their gobbled up then strike at the fat sharks. Just like Cossacks did with Crimean Tatar/Ottomon raiders that attacked traders/Polish farmers. Which was the reason of the Cossacks losing any rights and status as nobility, behaving like opportunistic plundering bandits... Not very noble, knightly or loyal.

Maybe I'll be proven wrong hopefully

The right-wing comes in many flavors. And Polish nationalism value individualism.

Nationalism is like folk music: every nation has a different one. And just because Germany has crappy folk musicians doesn't mean that folk festivals have to be canceled in all of Europe because of that.

For example, take an alt-right bar "Swietlica Wolnosci" in the heart of Warsaw. Guys and girls from all walks of alt-right: conservatives, libertarians, anarcho-capitalists, nationalists, minarchists, paleo-libertarians discussing ideas freely over a glass of beer/wine/whisky. A great place to relax among intelligent people.

So you think that right-wing is boring? No, it's leftism that is boring and infertile and all unorthodox thoughts are being killed and canceled within it...

In less than 6 hours on a train

Are cultures and economies developed over centuries "in less than 6 hours on a train"?

Not very noble, knightly or loya

Nobles, knights and loyalists were rarely that noble. knightly or loyal by our modern understanding of those terms.

And just because Germany has crappy folk musicians

Nope...all nationalists are crappy for everybody else...it's in their nature. If they would prefer international compromise and cooperation they wouldn't be nationalists.

You just have experienced with german nationalists what that means for Poland first hand.....just because other countries are more far away doesn't mean their nationalists are somewhat better.....and that you like your own nationalists best is understandable....you are Pole! :)

Like I said before: it is not a matter of nationalism per se but a matter of German nationalism, or rather national chauvinism to be exact, specifically.

Nope...that is wishful thinking!

German nationalism, or rather national chauvinism t

More pragmatism, a wish by both parties to avoid transit costs and a very sensible wish to avoid a strategic import needing to cross other countries' territory.

@Spike31
Thanks for sharing! I might visit it! Near the statue of De Gaulle as well!

@BB
You are being awfully critical of it at a theoretical level, having Silesian ancestors you shouldn´t have a problem with Polish nationalism at all! You could even join the German minorities party in Poland if that´s something for you.

......aaaaand the show goes on:

U.S. Appoints Energy Adviser To Implement Nord Stream 2 Agreement

rferl.org/a/us-energy-nord-stream-hochstein-ukraine-/31403859.html

His job is to observe that Russia doesn't play political games with the pipeline and uses it to manipulate, bribe or extort anyone (namely Ukraine)....

Never heard of him before but it seems he comes with some knowledge of the region:

...In 2020, he stepped down from the supervisory board of Ukraine's state-owned gas company Naftogaz amid concerns about a slowdown in reform and creeping corruption.

Never heard of him, either.

I don't quite understand what he can actually do. Once that thing is completed and online, it's a done deal. It won't be shut off and fines and such will be nothing but show pieces.

Whose interest is he protecting? He sure as hell isn't protecting Poland's, and this idea that Ukraine is protected is a charade-Crimea still controlled by Russia, reimbursements for lost transfer payments...puh-leez! Putin won this deal.

This is all window dressing. The Biden Syndicate just wants to bring the US-European relationship back to where it was pre-Trump; which makes the EU weaker and puts Russia in a better position. Not to mention opening the door wider for China.

Most of Europe is against that pipeline now....even german media told it like it is, a Putin victory!

*is puzzled*

Crimea still controlled by Russia,

a Putin victory!

Feels so good and it's only 11:30 here.

Beeb, it doesn't matter if majority of Europeans are against it, what matters is what the leaders of Europe want. German leadership (and I hazard to guess other western Euro leaders) want it. Cheaper and reliable energy. Gov leaders know damn well that the eco wet dream of green energy doesn't keep the factories running, the lights on, and Euro a$$es warm during cold months.

Besides, I think this also has a way of appeasing Russia so they will, at least, not interfere with the Biden Syndicate's hope of making a deal with Iran.

and Euro a$$es warm during cold months.

Now, how about that...The evil Russians will make us comfy and happy...How could this be...We have to object and hope that nobody will pay attention. A known and tried move...

....and the evil Saudis etc....

A bigger argument for INDEPENDENT green tech never was!!!

We have to object and hope that nobody will pay attention.

Its a trickery. Duda is good. He rather f*k entire 4th reich. He and Orban and Vucic. And how could they if wild Scythians aren`t behind them.

How could we alone do it even if we unite our efforts? Our backbone was broken in time. We Sarmats were not yet tottaly defeated but we were close to it. Let`s face it. We could felt blood in our mouths. We may arise but only if horde support us. Wild Scythian horde that bdw isn`t that wild, not in the sense of backward at least. Just wild enough to be able to face and repel beasts of hell, malevolence and madness that came too close to our throats.

Poland would restore Her power exactly with support from Russia and witrh consent of that moronic Rome, that even isn`t asked so won`t complicate but cooperate just to be on winning side.

So don`t worry for Nord Stream. Don`t be morons. Look at Serbian lands on Balkan, in Bosnia and you would see Corey Lewandowski coordinate with Putin.

Man financed by money of Polonia (via private company of Lewandowsky), Milorad Dodik pollitical leader of Bosnian Serbs, is also man protected by Russia. Germany? Germany retreat. As I expected, Poland and Russia coordinate on acess to warm seas of Adriatic and push to outmanuver Germany. Serbian lands are historical warm waters of Poland/Slavs of Poland. Russia has its interests but accept realm of Commonwelath.

There would be new Commonwealth.

So spot >

Man, now China joins Russia and Poland in Russian/Polish-German dispute on Balkan. Is this final end for Germany? Would idiots face their well deserved end?

So....Nordstream II is done....the pipeline is ready....now it only takes still some german certifications and the gas delivery can start...

But no party....no fireworks....no photo ops with the smiling top brass....no proud announcements in the news.....mixed and plain bad feelings everywhere!

So...Nordstream II is done.

Well, if things will go wrong in the EU (they will) it's gonna end with everybody blaming Germany for the enconomical and political collapse of the EU.

I'm talking about harmful economic decisions and an overgrown ideological lobby trying to impose that nonsense on others.
Bratwurst Boy 12 | 11,868
10 Sep 2021 #355
If Germany is to blame for everything, to what makes that all the other 26 members?

To useless, spineless, weak pawns? Only in for the money till it runs out?

You get back what you put into it....
Ironside 53 | 12,426

If Germany is to blame for everything,

Hey, I never said that Germany is to blame for EVERYTHING. I only said EVERYBODY will blame Germany.
If we talk about politics you need to read carefully my words.
When economic stability in the EU decreases everyone will blame Germany and Germany will blame everybody else.

Wouldn't that be a scenario straight from Yugoslavia?

By the way, they are some forces in the EU that already think about streamlining the EU. Talking about two-speed Europe or whatnot.

Also, I never said that Germany is blameless. After all Spiderman's uncle said, with great power comes great responsibility.
Bratwurst Boy 12 | 11,868

"Spiderman's uncle", huh? :)

The EU was actually founded to cut Germany's power....that's why so many have a say with every decision....you can blame THAT fact!

you can blame THAT fact!

Excuses ...
In the long run, it doesn't matter.
