Hi friends, I have old Polish money in banknotes of 500000 ZLOTYCH, 10000 ZLOTYCH, 1000 AND 200 ZLOTYCH. I want to learn these banknotes today price and how can I exchange these money with the new one (euro)? Can you please write me an email to @gmail or write here. Thank You
The banknote that I have are; 500000 PİECSET TYSIECY ZLOTYCH (a photo of HENRYK SIENKIEWICZ) 10000 DZIESIEC TYSIECY ZLOTYCH (a photo of STANISLAW WYSPIANSKI) 1000 TYSIAC ZLOTYCH ( a photo of MIKOLAJ KOPERNIK) 200 DWIESCIE ZLOTYCH ( a photo of JAROSLAW DABROWSKI)
The Zloty was revalued in 1993. The rate for old to new Zloty was 10,000:1 and the old currency was valid for two years only I believe. Your old notes are therefore worthless and useful only as souvenirs.
BTW the Euro is not the currency in Poland - it is the Zloty.
Acctually you can still exchange it in the Polish National Bank. I found a couple of those banknotes a year ago and learned that they can be exchanged till 2010
My husband and I have recently aquired some old polish money banknotes and are looking for help in getting the exchange rate and the information on how these can be exchanged for US dollars.
So generally they are worth hardly anything and you may exchange them only in the Polish central bank. You may sell them to people collecting banknotes but only If they are in perfect/very good condition and still you rather won't get more than a few times nominal value.
Have you done anything with your old Polish banknotes as yet? I am interested in collecting old Polish currency and would have interest in your banknotes if you have no interest in them. Please contact me if you're willing? Thanks.
Banco Nacional Ultramarino - MocambiqueCem Esoudos = 2 x 100
Narodowy Bank Poliski - Piecset Zlotych 1982 = 5 x 500 (one in VERY good condition) 1986 = 2 x 100 1988 = 2 x 100
Banco Central De Reserva Del Peru - Mil Soles De Oro = 5 x 1000 " " " " - Cinco Mil Soles De Oro = 1 x 5000 " " " " - Diez Mil Soles De Oro = 1 x 10000
Could you let me know if you or anyone else is interested, post your email addresses please.
I just found out that because Poland was under the communist rule before 1993, that any Zloty from that time doesn't have the same value of the modern Zloty.
Anything before 1993 is communist money. With that in mind, i have a 1983 1000 Zloty like the one here:
May 8, 09, 21:46 - Thread attached on merging: Information needed for Third Polish Zloty Bank Notes.
Hello! I'm writing from Canada with the hopes that someone in Poland can help answer something for me. We were left with $17 850.00 Third Polish Zloty Bank Notes a few years back. I'm aware that it went out of circulation in 1996, and can only be exchanged at The National Bank of Poland until December 2010. Is the value of them any less because they're Third PLZ Bank Notes compared to the recent ones? Over the past 2 years I've gotten so many different answers and am wondering if they're really worth anything. The banks have told me they're worth something, they just can't help me out since it's no longer exchangeable on the world market.
Any feedback as to what they're worth would be so greatly appreciated! Thank-you so much for your time in advance!
That is correct information, Minelle. Old zlotys were denominated at a 10000:1 ratio. Thanks for posting the picture, it was nice seeing all those Warynski's, Kosciuszko's and Kopernik's again :-)
make a collage out of them and frame them as a decorative piece ... i have various coins from 1930's to 1990's Polish .. i used as tiddy winks pieces with current 1 and 2 groszy coins :)
Can I send you my Canadain coins in exchange for usd, in any format; weither paper or coin? I have a bunch of Canadian $2 coins, some $1 coins, and a $5 bill.......
Ill send it to you for the excange rate in USD... ...Or Zloty, as long as its paper and after 1994... have enough pre - 1994 zloty to know i'm not communist..... ....Well, I've always known I didn't want to be communist since I learned that other people always tell you how many people you MUST house in your apmt., weither you like it or not...
As told by an officer, many years ago...
