Old Polish money banknotes - what's their value today?

Hello, I have quite a few bills, most in good condition, and I was wondering what they are worth in USD. The marjourity of them are from the 1910's & the 1920's. The demoninations are all different but the ones that I have in front of me right now say

1) POLSKA KRAJOWA KASA POŻYCZKOWA
TYSIAC MAREK POLSKICH
1000

2) POLSKA KRAJOWA KASA POŻYCZKOWA
DZIESIĘĆ TYSIĘCY
MAREK POLSKICH
10000

If someone can help it would be great. I do have lots more, but these are just the ones that I have with me right now, the rest are locked up.

Thanks so much!

You might want to compare them with others from the similar era on an auction site:

allegro.pl/13845_1916_1924_marki_i_ruble.html

It seems that the price very strongly depends on how well given banknote is preserved.

I told you here ... maybe die hard collectors on ebay will be interested but other than that or banknote fair thingy's that take place -- they arent worth any real value that what i pointed out above.

[Moved from]: Marki polskie - any value?

Dunno if this should be in the business section... Anyway do marki polskie banknotes issued in the early 1920s have any collector's value for philatelists? Probably not, because that was when it took suitcase full of notes to buy a loaf of bread.

As far as I know - yes, they do, because high quality examples are somewhat rare.

These banknotes are not so worthless as you think, because I would say not much of them are around. Examples of prices are here:

It's simple. Cut out the last 4 zeroes and look up any current złoty to dollar exchange rate on yahoo, etc.

In a nutshell, if it was communist money (post 1945) then it's pretty much worthless.

So enjoy your 1,000 communist złoty = that's right - 0.1 new Złoty or 3 US pennies = $.03.
Your 500 communist Złoty bill equals .05 democratic Złoty which is about 0.016 pennies. (not even 2 pennies).

In other words, the lighter fluid in your grill costs more than the money you're holding. :) Look up Polish history, it'd do more sense to you then.

I have a piece of paper money marked DWA ZLOTE It has a 2 on it along with a womans head in a white scarf. It is dated Krakow J.Serpnia 1941 R. I realize that it is communist money but am curious as to what it is worth. I would be interested in selling it if there is someone who collects. Contact: tutwaller@yahoo

The communists were voted into power in 1948. In 1941, Krakow was occupied by Nazi Germany.

The PRL notes, especially the zł50 and zł100 are brilliant for getting rid of unwanted touts in India.
