Life / Can a secular muslim live in Poland? [24]

In my opinion as an internaitonal student living in Poland i can tell that Muslims sometimes find it hard there to adapt NOT because they don't wanna ! It's mainly because Some polish people do not just want to give them a chance. I personally had 2 friends (Guy & Girl) from a Muslim country and more than often they used to get harassed verbally a lot and sometimes even physically ! But that was in Wroclaw, I don't know about other cities but from what i observed living with a lot of International students from all over the world that if you're a non white European, your life wouldn't be that easy in Poland.

After all this is my opinion from what i saw by my own eyes not to mention the attacks that happened to me.. But I hope you can have a better life and would be much better if you both live in bigger cities like Warsaw.

@Wroclaw1010
I agree with you on the part of not eating pork nor drinking alcohol aren't the factors that make you a muslim or not. However, I do disagree about the part that if you respect their values they will respect yours. Poles simply do not RESPECT Islam as a religion in general (most of them at least ) so it really doesn't matter. Me as a person, I tried very hard to learn the language as a way of respect to their nation plus that i never had any problem to have friends who drink or eat pork as well as i used to go clubbing normally BUT after all, they would still annoy me if i don't drink alcohol just because ''This is Poland, you have to drink''

Study / Can a student graduate from Warsaw University before the specified time of the program? [2]

Hello everyone :) I'm currently a student at UW in BA program. Of course like any other BA program, students should finish up to 3 years. I'm in the second year and I feel that I'm ready to finish up the 180 ECTS + write my thesis before June 2017 but is it actually possible to do that or it's a MUST to stay 3 years no matter what ?

Polish citizenship through marriage

Hello Everyone!
I've been married to my polish wife for 3 years but we did not actually live in Poland during these 3 years. Is it possible that we move to Poland and live there for the next 2 years then I apply for the polish citizenship? since the laws stats that if you're married to Polish for 3 years + 2 years as a permanent resident in Poland then you can apply for the citizenship?

Registering civil marriage without wedding party?

Hello,
I've read the rules regarding registering a civil marriage between a foreigner and a Polish citizen and on some websites it was written that ''The marriage certificate will be issued after the wedding date with a week or two'' So does that mean If I marry my Polish spouse without making a wedding party, we will not get the Marriage certificate ?!

Please I need some answers because I'm really confused here.

@DominicB
Since me and my Polish wife are residing in Poland right now, we've decided to go and register in the Civil registry office but our families live in different country so we thought about registering and once we get the Marriage certificate, we can go to that country and make our wedding there

Law / Am I eligible for the Polish citizenship? (married for 3 years, lived in Poland for 2 years) [12]

@DominicB
Well first of all thank you. Secondly, It would be so great if you just don't judge something that you have no idea about :) Sham marriage huh ? Despite that I don't owe you explanation I'll still try to be the bigger man here. I've met my wife in MY country and I've welcomed here in my family's house for over 4 years (She wasn't my wife at that time yet) I've helped her to continue her education, supported her financially and asked for her hand from her parent's house. So do you think any human being would do and handle that and much much more if it wasn't about Love ?? Do you think If I just wanted a sham marriage I would wait for someone to be done with her education and support her with her career and get married ONLY when she's ready ??

I pity you man and I pity people like you in general who gets ''Shocked'' when they find a foreigner married to Polish lady :) You and people who think the same way as you do. I mean, Yes there are a lot of people who get married for ''benefits'' only so they enter into a sham marriage. I'm not denying that, but the fact that you don't even know me, my wife or our life and you just assume that It was a ''Sham marriage'' because I'm a ''Foreigner'' just shows how closed minded and racist are you :)

N.B: I'm carrying a passport that is actually much higher in rank than the Polish passport ;)

Law / Am I eligible for the Polish citizenship? (married for 3 years, lived in Poland for 2 years) [12]

@DominicB
Well I'm pretty sure I can ask whatever question I want on this forum. It's not your forum at the end of the day tho. Me not wanting to share where am I from doesn't mean that I'm from a third world country, it just means that I don't want to tell YOU where do I come from ;) I mean I could've said or chosen any random country right ? and the reason I'm asking questions on this forum is because my Polish spouse doesn't actually know much about the procedures. Does she have to know about everything ? Honestly, I don't know about all the procedures of marrying a foreigner in my country either so I totally understand her situation.

As I said earlier, I don't owe you any explanations but yet I'm answering your foolish dumb questions. Probably you're just one of these Polish immigrants who live far away from their home country and just point fingers at any foreigner who enters their country. I'm used to people like you man, i've been living/studying/working in Poland for some time too so I'm used to such behavior. You know? a simple '' No you can't apply for the citizenship yet'' answer would've been much better from the very beginning that all the nonsense you've been saying.

Can I apply for karta pobytu in Mazowiecki Provincial office in Plac Bankowy?

Hello,
I'd like to know the difference between applying for the residence card in Mazowiecki Urzad Wojewodzki (Marszałkowska 3/5) and in Mazowiecki Provincial office (Plac Bankowy 3/5) ? I know that the immigration office is only in Marszałkowska but how come could some people submit their documents from Plac bankowy? is it legal ?

Thank you very much ! I was indeed trying to have an appointment at Marszałkowska but it seems that I'll have to wait around 1 month to reserve an appointment for myself that's why I thought about submitting my documents in Plac bankowy.

Poland's Karta Pobytu! Why and what could be the reason of the delay ?

Hello,
I applied for Karta pobytu on the basis of marriage in January 2018 in the kancelaria (with no appointment) I just went to the reception and submitted my documents and got stamp in my application. I was supposed to wait around 2 months to receive a letter to know my case number and probably to come give my finger print or submit any extra document, However, it's been 6 months now and I still haven't received any single letter, call, message , email etc etc. Is that normal ? what could be the reason of the delay ? should I be worried ?

N.B: I came to Poland as a full time student 3 years ago so I've been renewing my Karta pobytu normally for the past 3 years and I'm also working as a full timer.

Law / Can I apply for Poland's Karta pobytu two times for 2 different purposes ? [4]

Hello,
I applied for Karta Pobytu on the basis of marriage last January. Haven't received any letter nor was asked to give my finger prints nor received my case number yet. So can I apply again through the company I'm working in on the basis of work as a full timer in Poland ?

Would I face any legal problems ? Is it permissible by the law to apply 2 times since I haven't received anything regarding the first application ?

Thank you!
