Travel / Want to know Hotel with Escort services in Poland [21]

@active481 Are you sure hotels are allowed to have escort services? I know it's legal in Poland for a woman to provide escort services independently but I'm not sure if it's legal to do it through another party.

How sleazy is this? OP, show some respect for Polish women and learn some self control.

Keep your opinion to yourself and stay on topic. It's hilarious how you talk about respect for women when not long ago you were implying that a woman must be physically attractive in order to have a career in politics.

News / Don't let Poland become like my country, France. [630]

There is no such thing as "Judeo-Christianity" unless you are brainwashed American

Excuse me? Christianity is based on the fulfillment of Jewish prophecy. Please learn your facts.

Love / Are Polish men handsome to you? [182]

You only get the shaved head mean looking type

Shaved heads look good on some men. Polish men just don't have the right facial aesthetics for that which is why they don't tend to look good with shaved heads.

I used to shave my head and I had no trouble getting beautiful women and handsome men. (yes, I'm bisexual)

Polish men are average. Not too bad bad, but nothing special either...
But the women... omg....

Polish men average? I would argue well below average lol. (That's just my opinion though.)

As others have mentioned, Polish men don't take care of themselves well and many of them have bad personalities from my experience.

You often see too many Polish men shave their heads when many of them just can't pull that look. Also, the ones that don't shave often wear glasses. Have Polish men ever heard of contact lenses?

The women are average. Sure, there are a lot of nice Polish women out there but this site tends to overrate them.

However, I will say that people that are mixed with Polish and other things tend to be very good-looking.

For example, I find a lot of Polish-American people attractive if they have other ancestry mixed in (such as Italian, Irish, German, African, Hispanic, etc.)

Also, has anyone seen Patricia Kazadi? She was born to a Polish mother and African father. I would sell all my cars and give away the money earned if that would allow me to have a candlelight dinner with Patricia.

Genealogy / Is Poland Germanic or Slavic? [58]

[********************** are definitely Slavic and the language is the best proof.[/quote]

By saying, "we are Slavic," you mean Poles speak a Slavic language, right? Or are you trying to say more?

Genealogy / Is Poland Germanic or Slavic? [58]

That doesn't make someone German or mean they 'have German in them'.

I suspect most people would be a bit surprised if they did a DNA test.

German and Germanic mean two different things. When I read the OP's title, I was assuming he meant do the majority of Poles descend from the Germanic tribes.

I know but if Eastern Germans can call themselves Slavic, that means Western Poles can call themselves German.

Eastern Germans call themselves Slavic? Since when?

Sure, some eastern Germans have Slavic ancestry and some western Poles have Germanic/Celtic ancestry.

But that doesn't change the fact that eastern Germans are still Germanic linguistically and western Poles are Slavic linguistically.

Love / My Polish wife's mom is asking for money [11]

How could you advise to handle her parents?

Sadly, this seems to be a common phenomenon in Polish families. The Poles are way too family-oriented to the point that it's not healthy. Unless they are in some extreme circumstances and cannot help themselves, do not pay them a dime!

Love / Filipino guy with a Polish girl.. [60]

There are some [white] Polish guys with Asian girls but not a lot of Polish girls with Asian guys.

This is common for white/Asian couples in general. Here in the US, there are many white guys dating Asian women. It's not as common for Asian men to date white women (but it does still often happen!). An Asian friend explained to me that in his culture it's expected for the men to date Asian women. Maybe that's why?

I personally love it when people from different cultures and ethnic backgrounds date each other. It's a healthy sign of a peaceful environment and genetic variety is something all humans should strive for as it is for the best for the offspring.

Genealogy / Is Poland Germanic or Slavic? [58]

No, its Slavic, the wars and borders have changed a lot over the years so there has been some cross breeding with Germanic people.

Correct, genetic analysis has shown that people in northwestern Poland have an unusually high frequency of the I1 Y-DNA haplogroup which is common in Germanic territories such as northern Germany, Denmark, Sweden, and other areas. This data clearly shows the Germanic heritage of some Poles. Western Poland in general also has a relatively high frequency of the R1b haplogroup which can suggest additional Celtic/Germanic ancestry.

As far as the language goes, Polish is obviously a Slavic language but it does share some words with the German language. For example, the word kino which means theater in both Polish and German.

Love / I have a crush on my boyfriend's Polish friend ( advice needed ) [33]

I personally stay away from guys with drinking problems. I've dated them in the past and they can be violent. Luckily, I'm a strong man and I was able to fight back in those situations. (Yes, I'm bisexual). Try getting your boyfriend some professional help.

It says in your profile you're from Denmark. The men in your country are incredibly sexy I must say.

UK, Ireland / Agnieszka Pomaska, beautiful Polish politician [43]

That said my main issue with the OP's thread is that looks should not be a voting issue, whatever the gender of the candidates.

Yeah, it's kind of sad that the looks of women are being discussed in a topic about politics. That really is kind of sexist to say that a woman should be good-looking in order to be in politics. I mean, let's face it. There are so many bad-looking men in politics.

This kind of talk will encourage not discourage scapegoating.

I don't think most Brits will care too much about this. Her comments will **** off young chavs probably but not the rest of the British population. Like I said before, Poles in Britain are not taking jobs that require much of an education. Poles are really just competing with young Brits and other immigrants.

As for polish politician beauties please check Elzbieta Bienkowska (famous for her tattoos) and Joanna Mucha - both Civic Platform

The woman with dark hair doesn't look bad for her age. I'm not sure what you see in the blonde though.

So you're saying that Western people look terrible both in photos and in the flesh? lol

I'm not sure how you got that. Perhaps try reading what I said again? I don't think Poland has ever had a politician as good-looking as JFK.

News / Does Poland support the idea of Slavic unity? [129]

nonsense. Today`s Germanics who have I haplogroup acquired it thru assimilation of Slavs.

Crow, all white people eventually have a common ancestor. That is obvious. But the fact is that the South Slavs have a more common recent ancestor with the Germanic people than they do with East Slavs and some West Slavs.

Of all the Slavic people, Poles from northwestern Poland have the highest frequency of the I1 haplogroup. They are the most Germanic of all the Slavs.

News / Does Poland support the idea of Slavic unity? [129]

R1a is an example maybe you should google it

You realize that the R1a haplogroup is not common in all Slavic countries? The Balkan Slavic countries for example have a low frequency of R1a and a high frequency of I2. This haplogroup is more related to the I1 haplogroup that many Germanic people carry.

UK, Ireland / Agnieszka Pomaska, beautiful Polish politician [43]

Poles are only taking the low class jobs. You don't see too many Polish engineers or scientists in Britain.

Contrary to Agnieszka's BS claims, you don't have to be well-educated or hard-working to take low wage jobs from young chavs.

USA, Canada / Why are Polish restaurants not successful in the USA? [698]

Polish food has amazing soup. It's perfect to have on the stove always ready especially for lunch time snack. Most Americans don't eat soup and their idea of a sandwich is Subway. I haven't eaten at Subway in 5 something years. Furthermore most Americans don't eat much pork//mushrooms/sauerkraut. You have to appreciate bread, meat and cheese to enjoy Polish food and that frankly is not an American quality (Birthplace of Fast Food).

It's hard to believe you live in America at times.

Americans don't appreciate bread, meat and cheese? Go away troll.

And lol at the sauerkraut comment. German cuisine is quite popular here so you're wrong about that too. Every BBQ party I've ever been to in my state served bratwursts with sauerkraut.

Rest assured that she's almost certainly photogenic and looks worse in the flesh.

Yeah, that seems to be the case with a lot of Poles I've met.

USA, Canada / Why are Polish restaurants not successful in the USA? [698]

In my opinion, Polish food is not something to eat everyday. It's nice to have every once in a while but certainly not everyday. Like others have mentioned, a lot of Polish food is overrated.

UK, Ireland / British people more intelligent than the Poles? [53]

Poland has been occupied for about a quadzillion years which doesn't encourage research.

Ashkenazi Jews all over Europe faced much worse hardships and they have contributed greatly to science. There were many moments in history that Poland was doing fine but still not much scientific advancements were done.

But that is no indicator of the populations' intelligence.

To some extent, it is.

UK, Ireland / British people more intelligent than the Poles? [53]

Nope, they're less intelligent than Poles:

Stop posting the same link over and over that you have in chat.

Most other IQ surveys show that Poland is generally far below most of central and western Europe.
jaymans.files.wordpress.com/2012/05/europe-iq-1200-lynn20121.png?w=538&h=406

The Germanic people have contributed far more to science and engineering than Poles have. That is a fact. Most of the scientists who are considered the fathers of quantum mechanics were German and Austrian. Our understanding of electricity and magnetism is because of Brits such as Maxwell. Space rockets, automobiles, aircraft, calculus, etc. are all from brilliant people of the Germanic nations.

Note: I am talking about people who are culturally Germanic. I know some Poles (especially from the northwestern territory) are of Germanic descent.

UK, Ireland / How has Polish immigration into the UK helped Poland? [48]

Sure, tell us more about your fantasy world. You do not venture much outside your basement.

You keep talking about the basement. IS just because you like the basement so much, it doesn't mean the rest of us do. :-\

Also, it is no fantasy to say Polish immigrants usually work in low class jobs. It's a fact.

Language / Extremely Hard - Polish the hardest language to learn [180]

In the UK, teaching a second language is compulsory since 2010. In the US, foreign languages are usually taught in high school. Same in Australia. Enrollment numbers are quite embarrassing though.

Americans, Brits, and others from the Anglosphere don't really have the need to learn a foreign language as much as mainland Europeans do. English is the lingua franca.

McDouche, the Dutch and the Germans APPEAR to know English "better" than many mainland Europeans merely because they're more skillful in concealing their native accents, that's all.

I disagree. They generally do a better job of grasping the language than Mediterraneans or Slavs. This is expected though since English, German, and Dutch are all Germanic languages.

Poles would probably be better at learning Russian than Germans would be.

Language / Extremely Hard - Polish the hardest language to learn [180]

Germans too often claim to speak excellent English, yet make such egregious errors as to make the shackles of one's hair stand on end!!

I would say the Dutch and Germans know English better than most mainland Europeans.

Estonian is acctualy harder ;-)

Yeah, Estonian, Finnish, and Hungarian are in my opinion the most difficult European languages to learn for a native English speaker.
