Travel / Restaurant reviews in Poland. [86]

A bit of a novelty, but Dark Restaurant in Poznan. Great food, and quite fun. Also Artemis Taverna, if you like Greek. The owner is extremely friendly.

Food / The Fortuna beer brewed near Poznan, Poland [8]

I've tried fortuna on tap and didn't like it. I thought I was drinking soda. It seemed to be the choice for most others, so I'm assuming if you like sweet beer, you'll love it. I immediately rounded the corner to the closest Belgian pub :)

Food / What's your favorite Polish beer? [870]

Lech Premium is my new favorite because of the price, and if you're in Poznan, you must try the Lech Pils. Also fantastic.

Food / What's your favorite Polish beer? [870]

I'd love it if Lech Pils went international :) I get the Premium in bottles and it only cost me $1.50 for 500ml. It's also most available besides Zywiec which I used to drink religiously. Unfortunately, I can't find my favorite Bosman here :/ It was even difficult to find outside Szczecin, but I think Piotr i Pawel started selling it...love that place

Another attempt

few more..

Very interesting place, and one you might not think you'd see in Poland. It's a little off the beaten path, but worth a visit.

USA, Canada / Do Polish guys like American girls? [103]

It's all a personal preference. We have ugly Polish girls as well as ugly American girls...or any other nationality.

History / PRE-WAR BONDS and CURRENCY issued in Poland -- ANY VALUE? [9]

Merged: Old Currency and Bonds of Poland - historical value?

I have some antique PL/GER currency and was wondering if anyone has a good resource where I can look these up. I have 1929-1931-1934-1936-1937 and 1941a 50 Reichs Pfennig coins. I'm sure they hold more historical value than $, but curious about them. Thanks!

a.k.
It's not a waste of time at all. Keep up the good work because one day you'll eventually hear these words :)

ive me a reason, with all the hatefull ignorant trash spoken on here by Poles

Just here? lol. Its not like that at all. When in Poland I met met more thana handful of people wanting to learn/teach and speak with me. Although most were a little embarrassed, after a few drinks it was mostly easy breezy for all of us :)

isthatu2

We say "That kinda/kind of pisses me off". All over the US.

USA, Canada / Do Polish guys like American girls? [103]

Ha!! Spot on ;)

On a serious note. Here, I've noticed that most are dating Polish or other slavic girls. I'm sure some are dating Americans though. Attraction is attraction no matter what the nationality.

I was thinking that its the side of the university, but then again it also looks like a building around the corner from the opera house. Might need a sec on this one :)

...edit. Better pic. University. They always hang ugly advertisements on it

Ok...hmm. I think you got me with this one. I know for a fact that I've walked past this a lot, but drawing a blank.

Is this the same building, but different angle?

Travel / Why do you visit Poland? [222]

*Because I live in Belgium which is so stupidly small

All valid reasons, but your beer is better :) Good thing I was able to find a Belgian pub. A little pricey, but you don't need many :)

The Citadel park is often overlooked, but there's a lot of stuff there, not to mention very important in Polish history...and British etc.

You forgot to formulate a riddle. :)

Silly me. Got wrapped up in memories... Where am I?

It's actually not really that important in Polish history - much more important in Allied/German history than anything. It's the reason why the park is so neglected these days.

Not a valid riddle answer ;) We'll just block it out and say it doesn't exist, and there's no history at that site. We'll move on to the topic.

USA, Canada / Do Polish guys like American girls? [103]

Oh God, don't do online dating. Guys often meet girls over the internet so they can hide things about themselves and show the best parts of themselves

I disagree. I met my ex online in a snowboard forum, and we dated for 5 years and everything was great. We only split because of the distance and me not willing to move to Poland. I'm not saying everyone would have the same experience, but I would not rule this out.

Life / Legal Graffiti Walls in Poland? [45]

Have you checked the Legal-Walls site?

Team Alosta and Smug One are some of the best in the world, and it IS art; however, if permission isn't given, it's just vandalism. Most murals these days are done by people who have been given permission. Simply "tagging" your street name or gang is just stupid and these kids should be made to clean the streets for a yr.

Ex...Smug one

UK, Ireland / Another load of Insults to the British [10]

There's this type of discussion in lots of forums. I even see it here from both parties. Everyone is filled with hate and jealousy anymore. Sad really.
