Work / Salary of a customer service representative in Krakow [28]

Do you have any opinion about this?

Id probably go with the offer of 5500 gross for CSR.
Im currently a Junior accountant, and to be honest its quiet boring and not challenging whatsoever.
Also i doubt that you will get a better offer as a Junior Accountant. Is the offer from Capgemini? (Junir accountant possision)

Work / Salary of a customer service representative in Krakow [28]

It totally depends on your nationality.

But finish speakers are not paid as well as others foreigners.
Let me know what you make Gross, and i will tell you whether this is good or not.

Anyways i just saw your other thread, and 5500PLN for a finish speaker is pretty good in Customer Service Area.

Are you doing accounting?

I can tell you that as a Danish speaker you get nothing less than 6500PLN gross, while Swedish and Norweigan speakers usually get around 5500PLN gross like finish speakers.

All other language speakers gets less than this.

Work / A Korean guy got an offer in Poland (Walbrzych)... 8000PLN (gross) [10]

is this 5461pln(net)deal a really special one? that i should never let it go away but TAKE IT?

No, this is not a CRAZY good offer.
On the other hand you can live a very good life for that amount of money in Walbryzch.
You should more consider if this is something that may be good for your career (which being stationed in a foreign country usually is) and also i can promise you that you will come to love life in Poland!

Its easy to meet new people here, and most likely you will find a beautiful polish girl and seatlle (happens to every expant in this country) so id def. say go for it.

But dont think that salary is a once in a lifetime.

Work / Finnis is going to work in Krakow. IS 5500 gross + 1500 for apartment monthly OK? [14]

You can easily get a nice one room apartment in krakow for 1500PLN pr. month.
Also if you make 5500 Gross, then after taxes this would end up being 4000 Net.
So if you pay 1500 for flat, then it would leave you with 2500 for living expanses which is more than enough for one person to have a healthy living here in krakow.

Work / Warsaw or Krakow - what is the better place to work in? [19]

My problem is believe it or not, i have absolutely nothing to do at work! So 8 hours in an office everyday without doing anything just is driving me craazy!

Work / Warsaw or Krakow - what is the better place to work in? [19]

what do you do? Is it teaching? I feel like that too, I've really come to hate teaching and try to do as little of it as possible

Thanks for the reply..

No actually i work in Outsourcing as an Accountant. And i kinda like my job, but the problem is i never have anything to do!

So i was thinking a good job in Warsaw may be more interresting? But i really like Krakow, so i think your right about just finding another job here.

Work / Warsaw or Krakow - what is the better place to work in? [19]

Hello Everyone,

So i currently work in Krakow, which i have been doing for a good 5 months now. I really like it here but my job is just getting worse day by day! No challenges and not much to do.

So i have been offered a different position in Warsaw, so i am thinking about relocationg.

My question is i really like it in Krakow, is warsaw somewhere similar to Krakow or will it be completely different? (ive never been to Warsaw)

Real Estate / Good places to live in Krakow [20]

I have understood that everybody pays 19% when the gross incomes are under 10 000+ but then there are some other taxes?

You pay around 30% after everything has been taken.

So lets say your salary would be 6500 PLN, then after all taxes youd have like 4600-4700 PLN.

Btw in case you didnt know, there are alot of finnish expants here in krakow.

nice residential districts

Defenatly somewhere around the cracovia stadium is nice, and still within walking distance to both Rynek as well as IBM.

But like Inkrakow said there is plenty of busses, so wherever you live in krakow you can reach this place within 30 minutes by public transportation.

Are there a lot of traffic rush? These might be stupid guestions but I haven't ever been in Poland.

Dude dont worry, i moved to Krakow from Denmark 5 months ago without ever being here. But believe me you are gonna love it!

For around 1500 PLN pr month, and even less you can get a nice apartment in Kazimierz (i live there) its an amazing place to live, close to everything.

It all depends though were will you be working here in Krakow? I dont think the traffic is so bad if you use public transport, bc they have certain routes were cars cant go so you get back and forward quiet fast.

Work / Working and living in ELBLAG as an expatriate [11]

It's not bad if you're actually from ElblÄ…g - an expat would have different expenses and personally I wouldn't like to support a family on that much. It will be tight.

Yea for sure, but also i mistankly thought she was making 5000 net, but 5000 gross is not good whatsoever!

5000 PLN gross/month is enough knowing that I have a child who must be send to the nursery and a husband who will not be working until he also finds a job there.

5000 PLN gross is not a bad salary, id say it all depends how much you expect your husband to be making once he gets a job?

Study / Go on ERASMUS in Warsawa or Krakow? [6]

I haven't been to Warsaw yet, but from what ive heard it can be quiet more expensive up there compared to Krakow. And people here are very friendly, speaks good english, BEAUTIFUL girls!

And the nightlife is amazing! You have so many bars and clubs, there is something for every taste.

Travel / Best clubs in Krakow? No tourist traps. [64]

Baccarat Club - Stolarska street. I love this club

imo baccarat club is not that great, but maybe its because im not a fan of the kind off music they play there very standard stuff.

The best club in krakow is Fabryka!
It has great music, hip hop, rock, Dubstop, D&B. Also they have many koncerts..

Travel / Need advice where to visit/party in Poland..Krakow? [20]

Well lets say you come here just to get wasted and have a good time, then you would spend lets say 250 PLN pr. night your here (includes food, and all you can drink throughout a night)

So if we excluded hostels, flight, etc. but only talk about the living expanses for the few days of binge drinking, id say you would all have a freaking awesome time for 500 PLN a pop. Which is suppose is only around 100 punds.

Work / A Nigerian planning to relocate to Poland for better opportunity. [8]

yeh really I met some who think it's OK to shout 'kunta kinte' every time they see a brown face. If I were black I would go somewhere more....cosmopolitan.

I couldnt agree more!
I mean im from denmark basically looks polish, but ive been treatend a couple of times just within a few months because i speak english and not polish.

So then try and imagine how some people would treat a dark skined person?

Hi,

There are plenty of places for both good food and nightlife.

When you come go eat at Pod Wawelem! Amazing place, very close to the main square (towards kazimierz) its very cheap and they serve huge portions! Also mamma mia serves really good pizzas and other italian dishes.

If you are looking for bars just go to Kazimierz, there are plenty, especially alchemia is really cool, but also zaraz wracam is worth a visit (this is my favorite place)

If you are looking for clubing just go to Rynek (main sqaure) there a plenty of clubs. But if you like Dubstep/Hip hop/Rock go to this amazing club called Fabryka, its a bit outsite the main square in podgorze, but it is the best club in town!

Work / What would be a good salary for an MBA graduate in Poland? [27]

Actually all my estimates are a bit high,

So you would probably have more like 6000 PLN pr month after all taxes apartment etc. is paid.
Which would be enough to support your wife also, and live a good life.

You would have somewhat around 8000 PLN netto pr. month. +/- a few hundreds.

And you could rent a 2 bedroom apartment lets say 6-70 square meters all included in katowice for 3-3500 PLN pr. month.

Lets say you go to a nice Italian Restaurant, you would pay 100 PLN for a good meal which would include antipasta and a main meal + a glass of wine.

If you choose an indian restaurant instead, you could half that!

From my perspective, this is a good salary, but not with your experience and education!
On the other hand you can live a very good live in Katowice for 5000 PLN after everything is paid, but not if you also have to provide for your wife!

If i were you id really consider this offer, because Poland is an amazing place to live (coming from a guy from Ohio) but then again before you decided to relocate remember to take everything into account.

Best of luck though!
