In my view, the former part of this sentence is false, only the latter is true.

Where did you get the idea that the original "ó" was a long vowel from? The "ó" was simply called "o pochyłe" to indicate that it was a little different from the normal "o".

Szczerze mówiąc, nie. Ale tak, zwróciłem uwagę na to określenie. Nie bardzo wiedziałem o co mu chodzi; pomyślałem sobie tylko, że to musi być jakaś kalka językowa z języka serbskiego.

Wpisałem ten termin do wyszukiwarki i od razu wyskoczył mi artykuł z wyborczej.pl "Jak ciepli bracia wzięli Berlin. Gay Berlin. Birthplace of a Modern Identity."

No to teraz już wiem. I mam wrażenie, że termin ten musiał być jakimś starosłowiańskim określeniem geja. Zjawisko przecież istniało wcześniej i chociaż za Mieszka I nie było Parad Równości, to trzeba je było przecież nazwać. W języku serbskim termin przechował się do dziś jako "gorący brat", a w polskim jako "ciepły brat"..

Zwróć uwagę, że te określenia nie są językowo obraźliwe, co można interpretować tak, że wśród starożytnych Słowian istniała spora tolerancja dla zachowań homoseksualnych.
