Life / Polish TV licence (abonament) - almost no-one I know pays [36]

In Germany the TV licence will be included in the electricity bill of all those who pay such a bill. This new arrangment will be valid from the 1st of January 2013 onwards.

Thats a little far fetched even for Germany.
Whats changing from 2013 on is that everybody has to pay.
They just assume that everybody has a tv, a radio, a connected computer or a smartphone.
This is only for state television btw, nobody below 60 watches that ****.

Hostels are not necessarily for youth only.
I myself am not exactly the target group, neither budget nor age wise, myself, but i still prefer staying in hostels to an anonymous hotel chain sometimes.

But yes, i mean those with cheap bunkbeds, communal area etc..

Food / 'Wigilia', the traditional Christmas Eve supper in Poland [77]

Another question: różne sałatki warzywne/rybne - before or after soup?
Main course - fried fish, potatoes, buraki?

In my family the salatki serve as side dishes to the baked carp.
There are also many other side dishes like wegorz(delicious), shrimps, prawns(i guess not very traditional) etc..

To be honest those in power in Poland or across Eastern Europe for that matter have never been Communist or even Socialist.
Whats true is that they were the ones who had the cash, the insider knowledge of profitable companies and quickly took them over after the curtain came down across Eastern Europe.

I had to arrange quite a few meetings in Poland and from my experience all of them preferred a good Karczma to some fancy restaurant, they can have better in their home country and are tired off. Little pampering, like an opulent diverse selection and excellent wine did help though.

I believe that at least half of the complaints against the aforementioned institutions are either based on manipulated facts where one parent "forgets" to mention certain negative details, or they are simply blown out of proportion to serve someone's agenda.

Exactly, additionally in most of these cases the child has to suffer even more, while the parents go at each other.

But i guess he meant RAS=Ruch Autonomii Slaska=Silesian Autonomy Movement.
They are seeking autonomy for (Upper)Silesia from Poland.

However, the Polish minority was only legally recognised as such in Upper Silesia, where they possessed international status due to Treaty of Versailles. In other areas Poles had no special minority rights.

I have no idea what pre war demograpics and treaties have to do with the topic and what you asked me:

However according to the EU law such rights can be granted to ethnicities living more than 100 years(not sure about number could be more)in said EU country!

Link me to that significant number of ethnic Poles in Germany.
